hello a mate of mine has tried to make his own eth network token but is unsure if the person who made it for him has done anything unsafe to the code is there anyone here that understands eth contracts that can take a look at the code for him? he is willing to give abit of eth for the help thanks

Is the token on the Ropsten testnet?  Have your friend verify/publish the source code and provide link.  I'm sure the forum users here, including myself, can take a look.
If not on the network, can he push to git and provide link?

So, basically your friend needs someone to audit his code and ensure there are no problems with it. Usually, teams have in-house developers who do this but since it looks like your friend has hired a third-party developer, he can surely hire some agency for the audit of code. I am not sure if I can recommend one but you may find many such options if you google once.

By the way no way I am trying to demoralize your friend and his project but if the owner of the project doesn't have the knowledge of how to read and verify a code or doesn't have a team do it, then I am afraid he will have serious problems later because you cannot hire a new guy every time and it is risky as well and consumes much more time.

I suggest doing it with metamask, MEW wallet, trust wallet, so far it's been easier to create an eth account and save contracts, but I don't know if with binace

This is difficult for me because I am not a token developer on the ETH network, so in this opportunity there is no bright idea that I can give you, hopefully others can give you advice on this.
Sorry to say, then you shouldn't have posted because you don't have knowledge about the topic.

I think codebase might help you because I have heard about it somewhere not sure when and where though and please use them at your own risk. After searching a bit I was able to find another one that is named as consensys but please use them at your own risk and better to find a cheaper or free alternative if possible.

You may open a service section posting all the details and what you require in the services section here at bitcoin talk and interested developers and coders will contact you.

It's sounds risky that your friend, who owns the token but couldn't understand the technicality about it, noting he basically can't create his own token by himself.

Anyway, as posted above, Certik is a good way to audit your code since they will do it thoroughly. Other than that, maybe you can make/move a thread to Marketplace (Altcoins), and made an offer there. Just make sure you find a reputable and knowledgeable person.

Your friend created a token
The code of your friend's token was made by someone else.
Which one is it?

There are third party platforms like Certik that audit codes. I don't know about the application and payment process so just check them out.
