Why don't you just take out your sim card and put it into another compatible phone and then send the verification code to that phone. Then just put 2fa on whatever new phone you decide to get.

Not possible, the authenticator is on the phone and is not connected to the phone sim/number. I had to change password and reactivate my account, takes 48-72 hours. Really sucks.

Hi my phone was smashed and does not turn on anymore.

I need to disable it as my 2 factor so i can tranfer btc again. On the coinbase help its sayes this:

If you've lost the device with your Authenticator app and DO NOT have access to the secret seed code:

Select the "Unable to submit a one time code?" link in the after providing your username and password.

Note that this must be done on the Coinbase website, not the mobile application.

Once completed, the Authenticator app will be disabled on your account and you will receive 2FA codes by SMS to your verified phone number.

Note: If you do not get this prompt for a code after providing your email address and password, try logging in on an Incognito browser or clearing your cache and trying again.

But where do i find: "Select the "Unable to submit a one time code?" link in the after providing your username and password."
