Funding Options > Add Funds. Under "Please Choose A Funding Method:" select Bitcoins. You'll be given a new random bitcoin address. Use your wallet to send to that address. After 6 confirmations, it will be credited to your Mt. Gox balance.

Yeah, it takes awhile as protection against a "double-spend", where you might send coins to MtGox and then send the same ones to someone else. Basically you get a confirmation each time a miner finds a block. Each block takes about 10 minutes (on average), so it should be about an hour. Depending on which client you're using, it might show the confirmations as a circle split into sixths that gets more filled-in as the confirmations are made.
