For simplicity sake i would advise getting a 1kw single rail psu
2x 5870 is going to add 360w(30a@12v) to your power requirements if you were to have four of them you would need 720w (60a@12v) for the video cards alone.
gotcha - so i'll need to get a decent 500/600 watt psu or a single 1200 w one..

I know it's working on the current setup... but if i want to buy a 5830 or 5870 to expand then what are my options for power supply? I'm probably going to fit max 4 cards... so either 2x 5830 or 2x 5870 or 1x 5830 or 1x5870...
If I want to buy another PSU... how much/little power do i need?
