We are not anywhere close to 10%, not even 1%. And OP's comparison graph is boiled cheese (price != unshakable belief; arbitrary comparison points).

I say, any idea that's good enough will reach first 10% before 100% adoption. So Bitcoin will sure make it... Grin

So do we have any evidence of current acceptance rate within the general population and is this a global or regional position?

today only 0,1 % know what bitcoin is but we made alot progress in the last 1-2 years, no doubt. thats means, we are all early adopters  Wink

Here's Scientific Proof that Bitcoin is just before Major Adoptation

Please don't claim to have scientific proof for something without actually presenting any evidence. I agree that bitcoin could be close to the point of vertical growth, however I don't think it helps to present rough overlaps of price charts with this growth model without explaining why you've done that and the reasoning behind the correlation. Just post "Hey look, this seems to fit!" science has to be objective to be valid.

I'd recommend the Bitcoin 101 series for a more scientific analysis which points to the same conclusion. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgo7FCCPuylVk4luP3JAgVw

The revolution will be digital
So where is the evidence that nearly 10% of the "population" believes in Bitcoin?

Analyzing mindshare is like exit poll. U can only work on some sample to achieve a result. The exact is always unknown.

For example, in China, a lot of people believe in Bitcoin. But, they'll never speak out because of oppressive government. Given a chance, they'll jump on the bitcoin bandwagon to buy.

Well bitcoin is probably at .001% of the population now, so it has a ways to go to make it to 10%.

just checking:
The 10% is about the opinion / 'mindshare' (and not about ownership).
If 1 out of 10 people thinks Bitcoin could work, it WILL succeed in the end.

Correct, they will need to believe strongly first, then when 10% have the unshakable belief, like as the world begins to De-Dollarize, then they buy in. Bitcoin ownership could be any arbitrary amount, the belief comes first, then the purchasing.

Long story short, buy BTC now and hold.  Cheesy

reaching 10% of population needs long time. hope that day comes soon. Before that we should save at least 1BTC.

Scientists Discover: After 10% mindshare, bitcoin "will spread like flame"!

Here's Scientific Proof that Bitcoin is just before Major Adoptation

"In this visualization, we see the tipping point where minority opinion (shown in red) quickly becomes majority opinion. Over time, the minority opinion grows. Once the minority opinion reached 10 percent of the population, the network quickly changes as the minority opinion takes over the original majority opinion (shown in green)."

“When the number of committed opinion holders is below 10 percent, there is no visible progress in the spread of ideas. It would literally take the amount of time comparable to the age of the universe for this size group to reach the majority,” said SCNARC Director Boleslaw Szymanski, the Claire and Roland Schmitt Distinguished Professor at Rensselaer. “Once that number grows above 10 percent, the idea spreads like flame.”
