To diversity my asset in in bitcoin and few other cryptocurrencies (not shitcoins) is better for me than to hold my money in bank. But diversification is more than that. If you have enough money, you can use it to buy properties instead of holding fiat. I do not think I can have huge amount of money in bank and sleep conveniently. Money in bank should be for spending and the ones you are using for fiat businesses.

Who is banking with heritage bank? Did you save up in the bank and how are you coping with this development? Let's talk.
It's quite sad that a bank such as Heritage will go bankrupt without a quick notice from CBN informing the public about the safety of their funds, or now that it has happened, proffer solution how citizens will be able to recover their funds. Hence, I think this one reason why we should always prioritize Bitcoin as a medium to invest our funds, rather than keeping it in banks which is likely to go bankrupt at a time you do not expect just like Heritage did. But however, from the news and trending stories gathered online, it's quite obvious many people are losing access to their funds, of which has they diversified their funds to both Bitcoin and other banks, they never would have lost that much, example is "Mercy Eke" who said her 100million Naira is in Heritage bank, which she is yet to have access to it.

It's no longer news that the central Bank of Nigeria has revoked the license of Heritage bank due to The Board and Management of the bank not being able to improve on the bank’s financial performance, which according to the CBN, will constitutes a threat to financial
stability.
customers are lamenting about thier inability to get access to there funds as it appears as though all account have been frozen and can't allow owners to send out thier money or even receive money from the account. Of course there are news flying around that through a customers BVN, there money would be sent to thier other account but the possible of this being carried out effectively is something we can't really tell at this moment.

It all brings back the fact that saving in a centralized system has a lot of disadvantages and one of which is that you don't know when event like this would play out and what would possibly be your fate should you have need of your funds at the time a thing as this plays out and what becomes of you if your money isn't refunded at the end of the day?
