I intend to do Bitcoin long term. In fact, I hope to make full time income off it. I see cryptocurrencies as high prospect.

Now, why do people sell Hero and Legendary accounts?

How much do you make just on this forum with such accounts on signature campaigns ONLY?

Thank you for your inputs.
yes, some people sell accounts but if there is a financial issue with them that it is sure they will sell them but if one is selling hero or legendary account for no reason that it is a job of great madness ans you can earn great from one hero and legendary account. you can earn as much needed for a normal man to live a good and financially stable life.

So selling bitcoin talk legendary and hero accounts is not a profitable deal. one could rather work on it and earn money from it and solve his/her financial problems and overcome difficulties. so i too don't understand why people sell there hero or legendary accounts to some on for small amount of money which can be earned from the same account by work for some time.

it's probably their way to earn a bit of value in bitcoin, they make an alternative account and take care of them and raise their ranks, higher ranks the more expensive replacement cost. Because of the number of people who want to rank up immediately, others just buy an account with a higher rank. so others made it business.

They made it a business but the problem is when the buyer get that account he immediately get a hero/legendary account with no experience here in forum and he might just spam the forum . Who knows if what is the buyer real intention with that account there is a possibility that he will use it in scamming or fooling people.

There are several reason why they are seeling their high ranked account. First is because they need emergency money so they are forced to sell their account. Second is maybe they are just the alt account of the seller to make profit for every account he will sell. And some of high ranked seller of account today are most likely hacked by another people here in forum.
There are really two instances come into my mind why those High ranking accounts being sold by someone either its being hacked/farmed or the owner decide to sell it for emergency purposes which its his last resort to get some money. This kind of situation is already common and can really be seen on this forum which some account have being sold and buying accounts on this forum isnt really suggested or recommended since you would really get red trust if DT would really find you doing that.
Your account is a very long hard work and takes a long time to get the rank hero / legendary.
if anyone sells it I suspect it is a hacked or stolen account.
no one will sell it unless it is urgent and very urgent.
Harmful if hero accounts are bought by people who do not know Bitcoin. 2 months active in the forum may already be banned by moderators. Grin

in this we have to earn money easily. for that reason more people creating more accounts and doing postings but few accounts are blocking and few accounts are getting in to active. in this activated accounts are again devided in to newbie, jr. member, sr.  member, hero member and legendary member. so in this we have to try to place in legendary member or hero member here have chance to get more bit coins.

Few would have many potential accounts of HERO and LEGENDARY. They may require money at present. People who are in this forum and earning would be more willing to buy such account. This is too for earning more bitcoins.

Actually, by getting that account levels it will take 1 and 7 before you become a Hero Rank if I am not mistaken anyway.
Maybe some are selling it because they need money, which I thought its the main reason.

I once asked those who have accounts of hero/legends, why sell their accounts. they have some answers I think I have not found the answer too
- they have multiple accounts here, is it allowed?
- why should they sell it, what is their income by selling the account?
and the most important is
- do they not feel the account losses they've built up for years to exchange for a little monetary value?

I cannot see having a Hero or legendary account being able to provide an income from it. I mean at the most you would earn .05 of a bitcoin per year in the grand scheme of things, it is not that much. I see it as a bonus for doing a very part time job.
You are wrong. Get your facts right before posting. 0.05BTC a year for a hero/legendary account ? So many campaigns as it is, the lowest you can really see for a hero/legendary account for a week is 0.015 (that is manageable) and some pay as much as 0.04BTC weekly.

Now, do the maths! It is not just about achieving that target, since it takes a while, anyway. It is always about how much you have contributed to the community at large.

I also don't get the idea why people are selling their hero or legendary accounts but it's either it is a hacked account and sold by the hacker or the owner doesn't need this forum and has to sell his accounts to get money out of it. I think those two are the most valid reasons why someone sell their high rank accounts.

I think to reach the hero account and legendary it is not a very easy thing it takes a long time and the process is not easy because we need a lot of free time to discuss in this forum. I alone have only one account with one account I also have to be able to divide my time between my work in the real world and my activities in this forum I hope my rank will increase to be legendary or hero because my current rank is full member and I realize it takes a long time. so I think it's unfortunate that anyone would sell his legendary account after he has the account because they are so disrespectful of their hard-earned work.

Thank you for your inputs.

People with business oriented minds make accounts with very short time intervals and keep doing one or two posts with them every day or every week to keep them active and get the activity points. When these accounts grow to a good enough rank like full member and above, they put them on sale, why? because this is a kind of business for them. They get money out of this, without any investment. The forum rules do not say that you cannot make or have multiple accounts, but there are people who do not let this happen and give negative feedback to people having more than one accounts.

Now, how much can you earn using an hero/legendary account in a signature campaign?
It totally depends on the campaign. There are campaigns which pay around BTC0.04 a week to these accounts, and for me, that is a quite big amount.

Members who sell their accounts are definitely having more than one and using multiple accounts are prohibited by terms.
A user can maintain severely one account himself, it needs a lot of time and effort to work with signature campaign.
Moreover, there is no assurance you get chance everytime in bounties because sometimes spots are limited.

I only have one account and it so hard for me to finish a single weekly campaign stake because I have a work and I can only do the postings at home.
I wonder how others manage their time to make additional accounts.
I have just joined 8 sig campaigns so far and 2 from these are scams. Yes the good ones pays a lot.

I also have only one account and until now I just follow two signature campaigns, one failed near the end of the campaign while the other one just begins. I also have difficulty finish weekly campaigns to get stake because I also can only do it at home and I also have a job and sometimes have to overtime, but apart it I enjoy all the process. I think people are selling Hero and Legendary accounts because the price offered is quite high because the income earned from the signature campaign with both accounts is quite large, and who bought also do not need to tired to post to raise the rank

Obviously for money, hero and legendary accounts are not only for signature campaign but most of them are to join signature campaign. When you get caught buying an account, your account will painted red. So don't buy account, it's very risky.

Now, why do people sell Hero and Legendary accounts?
Account farmers sell Hero and Legendary accounts because among the ranks in this forum those are the ones with high value in-terms of payment in signature campaigns, if used as collateral in the Lending section and it somewhat creates an illusion that the user can be trusted because of his length of stay in this forum, bottom line its used in scamming.

How much do you make just on this forum with such accounts on signature campaigns ONLY?
Depends on the campaign, there are campaigns that pays a lot for Hero and Legendary rank but depends on the user if they are comfortable with the terms and conditions set by the campaign manager.

wah very unfortunate selling account hero / legendary how long tu to reach to that level. but maybe they've thought about it well maybe they've got a lot of money too.
But the amount they can get when they paid in selling it can last,it can spend nce and they will not bring it back, unlike joining in some campaigns which paid high can be their continuos source of income, well it's still depend on their situatins.

I am really feeling sad that people are doing this  Embarrassed  kind of things to make money. How can they sell their public profile, in which they have done tons of hardwork and invested big time in it. Actually the problem is that people are not taking taking this Forum seriously and they just want to earn some money for their account, they forget the long term benefits which is really important for everyone to know. I hope this will slow down soon in future, by creating some strict rules and regulations.

I'm a memebre and I participated until now in 2 signature campaigns. In my opinion many signature campaigns do not pay sufficient to make a living out of participating each day in the bitcointalk discussions. What I earned was between 6-10 USD/week, and I had to paricipate every day in 3-5 discussions. From what I have  read, when you are a hero or Legenday member you do not make more than 200-400 each month by participating in these signature campaigns. Let's say the price of bitcoin remains unchanged. 400 USD/month in Europe is barely sufficient to survive. If you do not have a job, you can say goodbye to bitcointalk after 6-12 months of participating in discussions here. This is 1-2 hours of daily disccussions with many people of different opinions and nationalities.

This is why in my opinion some people sell hero and legendary accounts. They do not earn sufficient to make it worth. A job that pays in bitcoin is better.

I dont think soo that this would be the reason why those high rank accounts have been sold out.I dont believe true owners would sell out their account specially if they are already on those high ranks.I would rather believe that those accounts have been sold out are those who are being farmed and do have potential activity that regards to Hero or even higher. This thing is not tolerable on this forum but yet there are people who do keep on buying accounts for the sake of signature campaigns. If you do join up 1 account it wont really be sufficient but joining your 10x account will surely make you a living. This is the reality happening on this forum.

People are only buying hero and legendary accounts to make profit from signature campaigns, but i dont like how the system is working right now, i mean, signature campaigns are being su abussed at the moment, and this is because everybody wants quick money.
A random guy offered me 0.10 bitcoins for my account (it is hero atm) and i declined it, i spent so much time in trying to grow this account, and when it reachs legendary rank, it is going to be one of my biggest goals.

The Hero/Legendary account sale amazes me too. It is quite surprising seeing high ranking members sell account for peanut after spending so much valuable time on the forum. Could well be hacked accounts though. Seen lots of disturbing complaints these days about account being hacked and used for signature campaigns

Well speaking about alt-Accounts yes there are many users who make many many accounts and nobody does anything because there is no rule that you can not make those. The only rule here is you can not use multiple accounts in a single campaign.  People get paid according to the signature campaign payout which you can see on the campaign thread.as I have a hero account and I earn a decent income to survive on my internet packs so I do not need any additional accounts. Now people sell them because people pay a good price depending on the accounts potential or according to the rank.
Isn't it hard to sell such account with such a high rank? I mean it takes quite long time and hard work Of course to take your account to a hero and a legendary position, then how do people make their mind to sell their account?
For me it is quite unbelievable and honestly I can't even think of my account to sell. After a long hectic day when I look at the number of posts and number of activities I get motivated to take my account to the higher position, to earn a reasonable amount from the signature campaign. Though I am happy with my current earning at this stage but I am looking forward for increased earnings in the future with a high rank.

Selling a high level account can be a high pay-off and people may be desperate for cash or they may simply not have any use for the account anymore. I think such a level account fetches somewhere around 0.1 BTC.

sig campaigns are stupid, nobody reads them, nobody clicks on them...nobody cares

when I see a post by someone with a paid sig I actually subconsciously value their thoughts lower because I know they are just padding up their post count
Does this mean that the manager/dev posting some sig campaigns are stupid too? Anyway, it is their life, their choices, their campaign so let them live like that. In fact you couldn't do anything about it of whatever they're wanted to in their life. Cheers!  Grin
I think that you do not need to evaluate all in a row by one Merke. The fact is that there are people who appreciate the forum and communication. Here, and the fact that the signature of the company gives an opportunity to earn, it is a pleasant addition to communication.

You never really know the reason why people are selling their accounts. Maybe it was just another alt of theirs or they weren't active on the forum anymore or they just were in the need of some quick money. I personally would never sell my account like that. Bitcointalk has become a part of my day now and I'm very keen on growing my account, it isn't even about the money you could possibly earn from it.
Being a senior member or above, you can make some nice pocket money. If you look at the rates in signature campaigns today payouts range form 0.012-0.035 BTC per week (70$-200$ right now), that's not bad at all. Not worth selling IMO, especially if crypto keeps gaining more popularity.

I agree, if you have steady job its impossibe to be all day at the forum and you have to make significant effort for posting. Probably people who have multiple accounts and manage them successfuly don't have many other obligations.
Geting a hero or legendary rank it's not easy and it takes time and efforts so I wouldn't sell it so easily and just for the few satoshies. Because of farming accounts the genuine ones have lost their value.

Now, why do people sell Hero and Legendary accounts?

How much do you make just on this forum with such accounts on signature campaigns ONLY?

Thank you for your inputs.

They sell Hero,Legendary or any other rank account for several reasons.,First is that they need money and you can get very nice price for good account these days. Some make nice business of that and they made many accounts years ago,now they sell them.Considering that is take years to become Hero or Legendary, these account are always in demand.

Depending on the campaign user can earn up to 0.04 per week(Fortune Jack) and this is really great amount of money.Hero and Legendary members are usually paid from 0.015 to 0.03 BTC per week. This is nice extra money if you can be active and make constructive and quality post.

Check here for all campaigns : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.380

Interesting... so folks just create these accounts to sell them. How long does it take to become a Hero or Legendary?

As an Hero Member, I would never sell my account, unless the offer was ridiculously high, no way im selling it. I've put way too much time on this forum, learning, posting, trading and meeting cool smart people. The offer would need to be huge for me to want to see someone else that isn't me posting with my nickname.

The activity points to reach Hero take more than one year (480 points). The activity points to reach Legendary take an insane amount of time, ranging from a random number comprised between 775 and 1030, so soon I will be on that range. Like I said, no way im selling it.

Don't expect to make much from sig campaigns. They are a positive thing because they raise the economic activity on Bitcoin by spreading to amongst users here, but in order to reach even half minimum wage (in a first world country) you would need to post so many posts a day that your account would get banned, and it's not worth getting banned for that. I barely even meet minimum post requirements to get paid in campaigns because I just post whenever I feel like and can't be arsed to post if I don't feel to, would rather get a real job.

Sure I can see how third world country people can make more money here than in some exploitative job and I can't blame them to try to get BTC here, but unfortunately these guys can't barely speak english and they end up getting banned.

Selling of accounts really need to be prohibited in the forum, there are so many users who are buying tons of them only for using them to drain all the signature campaign's funds, it is horrible to see that there are dozens of users from only one person.
And their posts are usually a shit posting with no more than a line, what a shame, i dont know why people is still able to sell them and buy them.
And now, i saw your-self as sh*t.  I just trying to research about how you did here and contribution for these forum. I'm only see, you only given an opinions then go leave. It is in the rules that it is prohibited to sell an account. ? It's better not to sell an account if potential is high when your account ranks high on your internet expenses. If no one sells an account maybe there is no scam and no hack.

What are you saying? it is not prohibited to sell an account actually there are tons of users that are selling some account that are potential in turning into Hero of legendary that is the most common goal for some but I think right now it is simply not a thing anymore, well at some point some are using their Altcoin in scamming certain individuals but in terms of hacking you don't need multiple account to hack a wallet you just need skills.

Forgive my inquisitiveness, but give me an insight what 'a decent income' is on a Hero account. Thank you.

you can get 200$ to 300$ or more per  signature campaign  its also depend in campaign are you participated some time if the campaign is fail you can get nothing.

People sell their account probably because they don't want to get involved with this forum anymore. Or they have a lot of accounts, cannot handle them all, and have no use for them.

The current highest pay for Hero and Legendary Member is 0.03 per week for making a minimum of 30 posts (0.001[bitcoin]/post). The average pay is 0.0007 I think. You can compare signature campaign pay rate in the Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns

You post link to signature campaigns thread and you did not even check few post above that I posted same link/also you could check how much is high paying campaigns and you would see that FortuneJack pay 0.04 BTC per week.

And I'm surprised how someone succeeds to keep several accounts at the same time but some users take this forum in a completely different way then some other users who have one account.

Just check how many alt accounts with proof was discovered and I bet there is a lot more.

I do have only one account too, and it is too hard to manage it, i can only be online 5 hours a day and i try to do my 6 posts of the day, to also increase my activity in here.
but it is plenty of alt accounts, and i see them most in Yahoo campaigns and some new manager's campaigns.
Once i saw that there was more than 19 users posting "Reserv" in a campaign thread, it was so obvious that there is only one person behind all those accounts, and if you check their post history, all of them have the same post quality.
Managers are now being much more strict than before.

That's unbelievable if its say lots it is hard to handle lots of accounts even only 1 account is honestly hard to handle because you need to be constructive poster and there are some campaigns that you can be listed in SMAS list if you are not aware about what you posting.. And being a hero member i was here 2015 and i am thankful that i found this forum that actually can help you to have a savings and investment with bitcoin..
So i think those who had Hero account are those people who are planning from the start to make lots of account just to sell it in the future..
This should not be allowed that is why signature campaign right now are always full and  really hard to join .. But since we have still campaign managers and some active member here to decrease those people who are using alt accounts and add to SMAS list can give other people to join and earn few bitcoins just to spreading it to newbie and learn how bitcoin works..
I am not planning to sell my account in the future even the value is really high.

Also same campaigns are not reaching their(high) target in the crowdfunding so no one is going to pay you for the job that you have done, posting or translating their staff .

its quite a luck as well in which project you will involve at

I cannot see having a Hero or legendary account being able to provide an income from it. I mean at the most you would earn .05 of a bitcoin per year in the grand scheme of things, it is not that much. I see it as a bonus for doing a very part time job.

I personally dont think that is a bad idea to sell hero/legendary accounts here on the forum, who ever does that I consider them to be smart, since its requires a lot of hard work for your account to end up ranking hero/legendary, years of posting day and night.

Besides if the buyer decides to participate in signature campings, he will end up making up all the money he spent for buying that account and even make profit since hero/ legendary members earn up to .035 or even more per week.

Interesting... so folks just create these accounts to sell them. How long does it take to become a Hero or Legendary?

To become a hero member you"ll need an activity of 480 and if I am not wrong the fastest time to get there is 480 days or one year and four months. Every two weeks your activity goes up by 14 if you are active.

Yes, there are many people who sell their accounts here on this forum. This is usually done because such people need money and so try to find a quick way to earn some Bitcoin. That's very easy to explain and understand.
Maybe there's even someone who get tired with this forum (or crypto in general) so they decide to sell their account in order to make money before leaving...Yes, good signature campaigns are more profitable, you are right.

It's quite interesting to know that people sell their hero and legendary accounts after doing tons of hardwork. I don't know why are they doing this, but they forget that it is a long term investment and they are really missing an opportunity which is going to have a great demand in future. Its people psychological behaviour, where they are ready to loose future big gains for short term small gains. I think this forum will soon update the security nodes and will make strict rules and action for people who are selling their accounts.
