That's a about as dirty as a scammer can get.  If he's selling it, and then taking a loan to abandon, he's getting paid twice for the same account.

Putting a monetary value on accounts seems very difficult to me.  It's not something I apply to my evaluations when deciding whether to fund a loan or not.  Instead, I try to evaluate how much the user values his account.  I hope it's a practical strategy, only time will tell.

I'm not an expert but I think Hero account with a legendary potential merit is worth more than 0.015 BTC.
You are right and that's why gave non-collateral loan.

How did that account get 1000 airdropped merit with only Hero member activity?  Are activity points lost if you purge posts from a single two-week period of time?
If the person has the activity more than 750 on the airdrop time I think received 100 merits. For legendary then there was no fixed activity but it was 750 or more. So as there was 750+ activity they received 1000 merit on airdrop.

I would agree, but I'm going to change the subject here:  How did that account get 1000 airdropped merit with only Hero member activity?  Are activity points lost if you purge posts from a single two-week period of time?

Strange! that guy just recovered his/her account only few days back. Wondering how a Hero members give up his/her account just for 0.015BTC. However seems account has been tagged.
This could be a new thing: sell an account, have it tagged for being hacked, recover the account, take a loan, and default on it. If 0.015 BTC is enough to abandon a Hero account, does that mean nobody would buy it for more than that anymore?

Could also be due to account being sold and then recovered illegitimately. Who knows.
I had also thought the same while accusation created: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.49816494
And that's why I offered smaller amount0.015BTC instead of o.o3BTC. I had not researched a lot for the account as a verified signed message and also who could be legendary as well as the amount was not too much.

Sorry for your loss, shasan.  I've tagged the user, lets see if he responds.

Some strange things have gone on with that account lately.  Looks like it may have been hacked and then recovered.  And I found this topic about the user: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/a-question-about-hackedsold-account-of-apriand-5111751

But these should have all been red flags. I personally would not have been comfortable with dealing with this guy even with a signed message, because of all the shady activity that has gone on in regards to password changes and account recoveries.

Besides, all of his trust was given prior to his account being recovered, which means that they should have been discounted in my opinion.

Anyways, this is a risk of a no collateral loan that everyone knows about, and I think shasan was prepared to take it. I highly doubt that the guy is coming back given that it's been a month since the due date.

I had seen it and it was marked as recovered hacked account from hacker also it was proved via bitcoin signature and also s/he provided bitcoin signature from the previous posted bitcoin wallet.

Will tag him now. Update me if he repays later onwards.
Thank you very much, I will update you if s/he can repay the loan. Though almost there is no chance to get the repayment.
