It's like putting Gandhi vs an angry guy with weapons in hand.
How many chances of survival has Gandhi?
Honestly you might be onto something, but...

I don't know. It's not good to fight fire with fire.

Edit: You're right. Sometimes there might not be another way.

She was a thirteen year old girl. She doesn't know any better.
So, since she doesn't know any better, you think she would walk up to someone in the street and flash them? I don't. If she knows not to do it in real life, she shouldn't be doing it on the internet. If she felt any different she shouldn't have been allowed to use the internet unsupervised.

Negative attention and positive attention are defined by whether or not you look at it as positive or negative.
I'm sure that many pedophiles found Amanda posting her breasts on the internet to be very good, does that mean it is a positive thing? No.

It does, because I can block you. ^_____^
You can indeed block me. Go for it if you don't like my posts.
You really don't know if she'd walk up to somebody on the street and flash them. I believe she wouldn't, but in a game of truth or dare with her friends in a bedroom while her parents are away is something I could buy. Whether it was online or not, she was put in a social setting where she was pressured and sweetly talked into doing something that's illegal for her age. I have nothing to argue on with the argument of positive and negative attention then, because you and I have substantially separate mindsets. I'm not saying that I think child pornography is positive. I'm just saying in general that life is the way you perceive it, and not everyone thinks like you.

And, what?

Oh come ON. I never said I didn't like your posts. I just don't like your attitude. If somebody was posting verbally abuse commentary on the site, it'd make sense to me that you didn't like them. For someone that has no intention of hurting anyone but livening up the forum with deliberately idiotic posts to make this place more hilarious, I'd say I take one for the team as class clown.  It's not like I post retardation outside of the off-topic forum. Go to the bitcoin forum. You might see some of my more serious topics there.

I've never lied to anyone here, and I've never intentionally tried to hurt anyone here. So to the people that want to start a hate party by manipulating my posts in an effort to make me seem awful, power to you if that's what you need. That's all I can say in my defense.

She was coaxed into doing it...

As a young teenage girl, it's easy to be coaxed. She did it for love. Not necessarily for attention. Also, people need attention in order to have their businesses grow, so aren't we all attention whores one way or another? Just because we're not all getting half naked doesn't mean we aren't all attention whores by definition.
Whether she was coaxed or not, she should have had at least some common sense as to not do it.
Also, attention isn't a bad thing. Negative attention is. Anyone successful does need attention, but they need the right type.

Also, I thought you couldn't stand my posts.

Doesn't really make sense to click on them. ^____^
I can't stand your posts THAT R LIK THIS ALL DA TIME!!!!
She was a thirteen year old girl. She doesn't know any better. As for the man who exploited her for his child pornography work, he can stay in jail for the rest of his life, and no one would care. Negative attention and positive attention are defined by whether or not you look at it as positive or negative.

Every decent website used to communicate has some sort of block or report function. I fail to see why people undergoing 'cyber bullying' are unable to use one of these functions to make it stop. If the website you are using doesn't have that function and you don't like people saying bad things to you, you shouldn't be using that website.
Also, don't do stupid shit to get noticed over, like she did showing her breasts on camera, and you probably won't have that big of a problem.

Yes, it is sad, but it can very easily be avoided.

People who are banned just come back on multiple accounts.

How to solve cyberbullying: bring some of your friends, point at them while they are alone, and break their knees. They will fear your sight everytime they sense you, and even if you are not present, they should fear you.
And no, it's may be called defence.
Technically it's not defense.

Bullies usually bully other people, because that's a main form of interaction they've received from others. Which means that is the main form of communication that resembles with them. We need to end the chain. If someone is harassing you, you can't just do the same exact action they performed on you. You need to teach them the proper way of handling harassment, so....it makes me feel bad that I've given in here and there, and fought back. Some people could argue the justification for it, with the line "people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones". It's very true. Still, it's morally wrong.

I just wanted to say this really quick: Yes, I have actually been a bully before. My reasons for being one in the past were mainly because I was bullying people who were bullying me, in an effort to get them to leave me alone. If I went to authority and they choose to not help me or they can't, I am in a place where I feel like I have to fight fire with fire. If that doesn't work, then I just desensitize with it, and pretend the bullying isn't happening. After all, you can choose to let somebody make you feel awful or not. The first step to controlling your feelings is to simply ignore people who make you feel uncomfortable.

In real life, that'd be hard just because people can physically harass you in person like shoving or kicking. I don't have much advice on that except telling those people to just switch classes or switch schools. If it's some type of situation where you feel your life is being threatened, you can call the police to let them deal with it. There's not much you can do. I actually use to cut, just like Amanda. So her story really holds a part of me.

Hopefully it'll be reposted on the news soon, because just recently, another young girl went through intense cyberbullying. Hopefully they bring up Amanda's story too.

The criminal that chose to harass her over the internet is finally behind bars. It just goes to show: no matter what, if you're a bad person, your time will come.
