Hi, also a newbie in cryptocurrency here. Got some bitcoins and other coins from a friend, and I find the technology around it really awesome.

I'm planning to build my own gpu mining rig to mine other coins, so I'm hoping Scrpyt ASICs won't be released or won't be feasible anytime soon as it will really spoil gpu mining.

I'm excited to mine coins myself and also get involved with other stuffs related to cryptocurrencies.

I also hope for new and better developments for bitcoin and other emerging cryptocoins in 2014.

I'm pretty sure the guy that invented LTC chose scrypt specifically because you can't do ASIC

I think Scrpyt ASICs would spoil mining for a whole lot of people and really hope they don't come about.

GPU mining needs to remain feasible for many of the alts to grow.

Hi all,

I'm a 30 year old web developer from the UK and am looking to get more involved in the "cryptocurrency universe" so to speak Smiley

At the moment I've invested in a few altcoins and done a little bit of mining. Personally I'm excited to see what happens with LTC - will it explode in 2014? I hope so. I'm also very curious to see if the Scrypt ASICs do eventually get released and if they actually work. If so something like XPM might become a better bet as a long-term strategy. Who knows.

Btw, I wish there were more OS X wallets for the various coins!

thanks,
Kirshara
