Hello bluejean, welcome to bitcointalk Smiley

You are right...I should've jumped in here much earlier. I've been reading many of the coin forum posts on here for the past 6-8 months and have been buying and selling on several of the exchanges for better than a year. I actually bought my first 2 BTC's from Coinbase in December of 2012 when they were $12.xx

I bought them to pay a subscription at a website that had quit taking credit cards and only accepted BTC from that point on. I never did re-up my subscription and forgot about the 2 BTC for a few days. Then I started reading up on it and found that they were gaining in value so I bought another 38 of them and had a total of about $500 USD invested.

Hindsight being what it is, I wish now that I had bought as many as I could afford...maybe even acquired a loan to buy them...but I had no idea that a year later they would be valued at $1000+.........oh well, that boat has sailed...

I did end up selling 30 of my 40 BTC a few months ago when they were still above $800...been trying to make more with the remaining 10 ever since.

Wow, that is awesome. I wish I knew bitcoin when the price was just $12 Smiley
