I use an IRC escrow bot to do most of my trading. Smiley I started mining back when bitcoins were $36 each and luckily just ended up buying one and forgetting about it. I've been trading it back and forth between btc and alts since and haven't touched a miner.

Obviously you say this to our novice is very good, although you disdain.

You guys have any advice for a newbie?

cool. you might also want to give ripple a look. it is a network that federates everything and everyone whether you are a bank, a crypto currency exchange, an individual etc.. think of it as something like SMTP for money.

anyway, to learn more about ripple start here:  http://coinjoint.info/ripple-might-want-pay-attention/ and here:  https://xrptalk.org/forum/61-faq-and-guides/

You are really lucky, at least you will not lose. Now the market is really bad.

Welcome Rob.

Be careful with "too good to be true" deals, and use escrow whenever possible.  Grin

Just read the stickies and follow the rules. And always use trusted escrow when you trade.  Smiley

Hi my advice is to contribute to the forum as much as possible and always be learning more about bitcoin. also stay away from the faucets if you can u wont make much. my best advice would be to stay away from trading unless you do it with someone very reputable
