Yes, they returned the funds I had wired them, and I inquired about it. They didn't give me a reason other than it was a problem with the bank. Then they said they would unblock my account, if I sent the money again. So I did, and then all of the above happened. They didn't answer any of my questions, and I sent them messages everyday for a month asking about my account. No word at all, I thought that money was gone! They did keep my ticket open, however and it was marked as critical not as normal urgency. I still don't really understand what happened, but I'm glad it turned out well.

Hi,
I really sympathize with you, I had the same experience.  I had an account on hold for some reason only known to them, for over a month. I had a very substantial amount in the account, so I was VERY worried. I barely slept at all.  Well, today, I am happy to say they unblocked the account, but not without numerous messages and tickets sent to support.  I got a one word message today after a month of complete silence. It said "unhold". The most beautiful message I have ever received! Smiley so keep sending supports messages( I think I sent about 40 in all). My feeling is that they are just really busy and in my case just maybe wanted to make sure I wasn't a hacker or something.  Keep trying, and if they close the ticket just reopen it!

Your account was blocked for a month without any reason or explanation?

The guidelines are in the "newbie read me" post in this forum. Basically, you have to be active for a few hours and have posted something meaningful.

Good luck with btc-e by the way

Thanks man, I am really hoping they will come through, I have semi-faith, I am just worried that it will never get resolved.

Sorry to ask this again, but does anyone know how long it will be till my bitcointalk account can make posts outside of the noob arena, and when can I send private messages? I would like to send a PM to btc-e's account, and also post on their page to see if I can get their attention. Can anyone help me out with how long it will be till i can use this forum to its full potential? thanks

Bummer, I feel for you. Keep on trying, sounds like you are doing everything right. I don't think they are out to scam anyone - they must make a fortune by being a popular exchange, maybe with all the recent price and volume hikes they are just really really busy and as we can all tell English is not their strong point. Good luck.

Hello All, thanks for the replies.

I agree, I have tried to PM on this site, but my account can not send PM's yet, How do I get to where I am able to post outside of the noob section? and be able to send Pm's?

I also have them added on skype, "btc-e.support", and they havent added or responded yet there either. I will keep them added, and keep sending them contact requests. You can't even PM support via BTC-e anymore, it directs you to their support ticket system, Which is useless if they never answer it Sad

I have sent them a support ticket with both english and russian translations. I have added a picture of my ID, my name, my address, my phone numbers, my IP addresses, my old transaction details, my metatrader4 transaction details. I have sent them every type of information they've asked for and then some - and still haven't gotten much of a response from them. I hope this letter goes better, but honestly im starting to feel like this will never get fixed.

Also, about the gmail account and the VPS and slow cracking the password, Idk what that is, and I doubt it'd work anyways sadly, The gmail account doesnt exsist anymore. It gives me the message " your account has been deleted and is no longer recoverable". I've even spoke with gmail support who told me once you get that message, it means it. its goners. And since usernames are considered sensitive data (since you could make someones old email address and receive any mail that anyone sends them that don't know they changed their address). So basically with the gmail account gone, theres nothing I can do except hope that support comes through.

What worries me the most is, Here is the message on the support page -

" Good day, for safety from 29.04.2013 prohibits the changing e-mail addresses in your profile.

 Withdrawals made only after confirmation by e-mail . Users with unconfirmed e-mail will not be able to withdraw the funds. Confirm your e-mail to the Edit Profile page - https://btc-e.com/profile # edit / Home We strongly recommend that you use the mail https://gmail.com/ with our service. If for some reason you have lost access to your mailbox specified during registration, you will need to send:
- Username and email that you are now listed in the profile ( Old );
- History of the last transaction ( minimum of three );
- IP inputs ( at least three days );
- Email to which you want to change (new) recommend the use of e-mail https://gmail.com/ with two factor protection."

What scares me about that is the first sentence - For safety since 4/29/13 prohibits the changing of email addresses in your profile - That means everyone to me. It's looking grim, I can't believe it was that easy to lose 700 dollars. christmas present or food, christmas presents or food =/

EDIT: just for shits and giggles, I tried to log into the gmail account like normal, with no luck. I did try it though.

To be fair to BTC-e they probably get scammers trying to get access to accounts that aren't theirs all day long every day. I use BTC-e regularly and on the "trollbox" (i.e. the chat window) you often see people with this same issue, the general advice I see is that you have to undeniably prove to them that it's your account..  so if you know the date you signed up, how much you deposited, any trades you did, when you last logged in, anything that you can provide really. I'm sure eventually they'll see you as real not a scammer and help you out. You are right though, it's your fault not theirs so they are under no obligation to reset your account - they also can't spend your coins as they are still your coins. You could maybe offer to give them 10% of your balance if they sort it out.. you never know.. that might twist the admin's arm.

I think 90% of bitcoiners have made a mistake at some point, I know I very nearly lost 0.2 BTC in a blockchain.info account and the stories of people selling coins for peanuts and now they are worth hundreds are all over the place. Treat bitcoins like you would physical cash!

Have you tried logging in with your deleted account into gmail? I know that deactivated accounts re-activate when you do that.

Yea, go slow-mo-brute-force style.  Huh

Write a script and host it on a VPS to slowly recover your password as an alternative.  Huh Huh Huh

or skype BTC-e.

Send BTC-E a personal message here at the forum. Then wait patiently for a answer.

You can't do that, Gmail doesn't recycle names, not after any amount of time after they are used, It's considered sensitive data. Gmail is not an option Sad

Can someone please link this on BTC-e's page or something?

Why not re-create email account.
You deleted it, address should be available.

If someone manages to somehow choose the exact same email you once had(seriously?), send them a message to relay BTC-e code.

Yeah, the support at btc-e isn't very good, and it doesn't help that they aren't very proficient in English.

Your best bet is probably to keep emailing them in the hopes that they will be able to change your email address. Maybe they will accept some proof of identity to change your email address.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help  Embarrassed

Hi, Thank you for your response, Ya, its ok, The gmail I have tried, It hasn't been but a few months since I deleted it, but I was told that it is unrecoverable basically and that it's been too long. So I've given up on that route. I bought my Bitcoins with cash, on localbitcoins.com and deposited bitcoins each time I deposited into BTC-e. so they don't even have a bank account for me on file =/

First time I've ever invested and I mess up this badly - Its great watching my money rise and knowing that there's a good chance that I might not ever be able to withdraw it Sad

This may seem like a silly question, but have you tried to recover the gmail address? I deleted some of my gmails at one point, and then years later I tried to recover them and did that successfully. Google saves the data much longer than most people think, so it's worth a try.

Other than that I'm not really sure what you can do. If you still have the same bank account that you initially withdrew the money from, maybe you can contact your bank and ask them to refund the money back to you?

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't see your edit about recovering the gmail.

Hello,

First I'm sorry, I know this isn't the right place. I am a newbie and this is my first post, It took me a while to figure out how to even post here. I hope everyone is well, and thank you for allowing me to post here. With that being said, I'm very sorry I am posting this here and not some where more relevant.

I have never used BTC-e before really, and did not know about their E-mail verification system that they recently put into place (the one time I did use BTC-e was before the first bitcoin rise, and also before this verification system). I deleted my Gmail related to this account for personal reasons - Didn't think it'd effect me since I've never really used BTC-e before. I, then, proceeded to deposit money into my account and now have about $700.00 USD that I can not withdraw.

I have tried to change my email - I have to have my old email accessible to get the verification email to change my email to a new address. I can't do that, the email is gone. I can't withdraw my money, Because it sends the verification email to an address that no longer exsists. I have messaged support for literally 1.5 weeks now, (I've sent them about 4 tickets) They have sent me 2 messages, One was relevant and about changing my email - It said supply them with information about my account - which I did. I then got a response, of my transaction history copy and pasted - nothing else. Huh It wasn't even relevant to what I wanted. It was like they didn't know what I wanted or something.

I am honestly so afraid this is never going to get resolved and I'm never going to see my money again. I still have faith that support will come through, I even translated a message to them  the best I could to russian, with all the information they needed. Thank you google translate, but honestly, I am still very worried that they will not change the email or something.

What would it take for me to be able to post where BTC-e can see me? Can someone please help me with some advice? Or possibly helping me get incontact with someone that can help me? I know btc-e has an account here. Sad I know it was my fault, and I should of been smarter about it, but theres got to be something I can do, My money can't just be gone that easy can it? Sad

Thanks for your response and time. I really hope I get this resolved, I am super worried. Thanks. Have a nice night everyone. Sorry to bother you.

Clay

EDIT: I have tried to recover my Gmail account, It has been too long and is no longer recoverable. My only chance is BTC-e support coming through and helping me change my email or withdraw my money in some way. I really hope someone can shed some light on my situation, because I'm pretty heartbroken.
