Guys i want random opinion of someone on internet. i want to buy 2 grand (pounds) crypto im going to put it in 5 year time capsule by throwing away password and then having it emailed back to me in 5 years. im looking for big gains, but not crazy risky what should i buy thanks for your input
First, you don't have to throw your password and have it emailed back to you. I don't advise you to do because you can keep your private key and that's a better way of keeping your wallet. Because having it on your email, there's a chance that your email might be hacked.
And as the option that you're wanting, there's one crypto that's very close to what you're thinking. There's none other than but bitcoin. BTC
not just that reason when it comes having a backup through email.. Because to be honest there's alot of situation that sometimes forcing us to change password not just 5x wherein 10x is possible especially if its your personal email.

And i believe for that reason there is a possibility that if the time pass by and if you lost your current back up there's no way you can remember the password you changed in it.. Then only thing you can remember is the common password that you used in your other accounts..  It happens to me actually and that really hard to remember..  So if i were you guys print it or carved it in a piece of wood metal and etc because that's the only thing that can really keep our private information even for long time..
Yes, think of situation like that if you're putting your back ups through email. But if it's a personal email then it is unlikely that you will forget that email. But just in case that we're growing old and things are changing, you really can't predict something like that to happen.
I don't advise to have common passwords because if a hacker gets in then all of those accounts of yours can also be affected if the hacker tries to sneak into your other emails or accounts having the passwords and accounts.

I read somewhere that cardano=ethereum so i picked the one with lower market cap=more room to grow. Thanks guys in 5 years i will post an update to go over my returns

- Cardano (ADA)

- Litecoin (LTC)

- Binance (BNB)

- Ethereum (ETH)

Those are the coins that I think will run best in the next 5 years.

If you want to invest for the long term (5 years), then I would definitely advise you to invest in the top 5 cryptocurrency on CoinMarketCap, because the prices will definitely increase very high and of course it's safe, so you will definitely get a big profit for the next 5 years, therefore I recommend you to invest in :
1. Bitcoin
2. Ethereum
3. Binance
4. Cardano
but I prefer you to invest in Cardano and Binance, because I think that the price is still cheap (has not risen too high).

So much fud yet is being spread including Elon's mining issues which cause the price to go down. And then there is also IRS investigating Binance and so on. The price looks like it could be thought the oversold line so it could be good to buy but there is no assurance yet for these fuds to stop.  If you mean altcoins, it's got to be polkadot, its currently on the rise.

What if the email was being compromised over the time? you might lose that amount from that 5 years time capsule.

try to invest in Ripple mate because  think 5 years from now the case was already resolved and might give you perfect gain.

I also advised you to buy Ethereum? or at least binance for back up?

those coins mentioned are one of the most promising and surprising .

You definitely wont go wrong with Student coin, student coin is a long term project that was started in 2019, but due to the bear market that lasted through 2019 and parts of 2020, the project remained in stealth mode till Q4 of 2020 when they finally went public, their launchpad ico ended last month where they sold all 50 percent of the supply raising 70 million dollars for the development of the project, the STC token is already listed on several good exchanges and they promised theres lots more exchanges coming as the project develops, the token is currently trading a little above the ico price which is to say its really a good time to invest this project if you make up your heart to.
you can start your research by following this thread https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/student-coin-speculationdiscussion-thread-5333534, there, you find links to every information you need about the student coin project.

Hi
Thanks for the reply. The reason im doing it that way is because its the only way to stop me panic selling without getting technical im only having them email back a few letters the first part im keeping myself. I think i have to hold some bitcoin but i dont think that 100% bitcoin would be the bestthing to hold personally but i dont know much beyond that.

I should have said that it may well be the best but i am a bit of a gambler and would like to have some speculative options as well
