I started with Quarks, then saw all the hoo-rah about it being pre-mined. I was interested in a CPU-only coin, though, so I've tried a couple similar ones. Currently I am mainly doing Protoshares and Particles.
The particle pool I am in has had some people with some serious hashing rates but almost all their hits were invalid. The efficiency of the pool drops tons when they are on. Anyone know if this would be due to their miners, like if they did not use the quark algorithm? Would the pool even recognize them?
