There's a lot of reader here in forum who will scrutinize the skills of writing but it isn't too late to learn grammar and other important context on writing. Here is a tutorial video that will guide you.

Merits will follow as there's a flavor on the context of the post. Humorous and intellectual information are likely to have high chance to receive merit han a long liner post with lots of shit thoughts.

Poor English is the biggest obstacle of learning on bitcointalk. It makes us unable to express well and make the article poor quality.
That's not necessarily true.

There are "local" boards designed for users who speak/read/write in languages other than English. (I believe these boards even have "merit sources") So, there is no reason why you cannot participate (assuming there is a local board for a language you are fluent in), even if your English is "poor".
But it does not make my text smoother and the reader does not understand my implication.

Hi  Smiley

The new ranking system is good for the quality of the forum because of the Merit system. But it is stated that sMerits are given by the ones who own more and they consider the quality of the posts.

So could any of you can give links for merited posts(High quality) in the new ranking system for reference.

Thank you

What exactly are you looking for? If you want to find good posts to read - look at the most merited posts as has been suggested by others.

If you want to earn merits - looking at posts made by others is not going to help you. In fact trying to earn merits might get you in trouble (merit begging, farming, etc is frowned upon). The best way is to forget merits, post as you normally would, and hope that your contribution is valued by someone else. You'll get merits if your post makes someone think "I would like to see more of such posts on Bitcointalk".

In other words, there is no magic formula. "Quality" is subjective. Here is my subjective definition of "quality":

If you post constructive, interesting, useful, informative, helpful, debatable, quirky, inspiring, intriguing, amusing content - you get merits

... and I still sometimes send merits to posts that are none of the above.

Merit is open to interpretation of the person who awarded that sMerit. A post might be helpful to one person, because he might

not have known about that information before and he or she might have rewarded that post with sMerit as a "Thank you" to

that poster, but it might be worthless to the person that might have known about it. It is difficult to measure the "weight" of all

posts that were merited, because you do not know if the information is always helpful to others. Some posts are merited by

Sockpuppet accounts and they add no value at all... so they are worthless to measure quality.  Roll Eyes

Here is a list of the posts that I have awarded with merits, and those of mine that have received merit. I'm grateful to LoyceV for creating this list, and he will be providing another list for the latest month's posts.

For a post to be considered of good quality, it needs to have either: some insight or be helpful to someone.

If you help someone here to do something (in a post) then there's no reason why you shouldn't get merit for the efforts.

Also, if you offer a view that is insightful and clear then that would also be of high quality especially if it is on topic with the OP and/or the title.

Although the Merit mechanism is good for the forum, it also limits the ranks of most newcomers. To get Merit, first of all, your article must be very helpful to everyone. Second, your article must be healthy!

This is a forum and not  blog. If you want to post articles, you are at the wrong place.
Yeah, to get Merit you don't have to post articles. You can do it, but it's not only way to get Merits. Just participate in discussions, post useful and interesting content, help to others and Merit will find you.

There are options like you can see recent merited posts, top merited all times and most generous merit senders. Give it some time and you will get the idea for high quality posts.

As mentioned above, you need to improve English. Don't be discouraged by it, one can always improve.

Hi mate, can you learn English properly before you write such a post again?

Your post is very low quality, and I doubt you will be able to understand high quality posts because of your poor English.

Anyway, I think it is better if you move this post to the Beginners section.
