Yeah - you can download and upload the raw files (which are Java properties files) and work with then however you like.
You select the country icon and then press the little down arrow button just to the right of the translation stats.
There is an 'Upload' button next to it.
I have extending the translations down to the country level (for pt_BR and cn_TW particularly) on my TODO list but there is plenty above it to do first I must admit.

That service you use for the translation has an horrible interface and the fact that it gives machine translation suggestions makes lazy translators just use what Google/Bing tells them and then you have localized versions that shouldn't even exist, much less be included in the distributed software.
I honestly can't use the current Portuguese translation. It's so bad it hurts...
Oh, and you should also have at least pt_PT and pt_BR.
In case you're wondering, I'm maintaining the pt_PT translation of Bitcoin-qt. It will take a while to translate 100% of Multibit, but then I think I can maintain both at 100% without much work.

You can just map base58 to 58 chars of Devanagari script (http://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/U0900.pdf) and call it dnFormat

The Base58 used to encode the Bitcoin addresses that we are familiar with specifies specific ASCII characters.
If you use other Unicode characters I don't think any client will accept it as a valid Bitcoin address.
