Well, the point of homework isn't to teach you a lesson, it's just repetitive, mundane, and is a better assessment of how well you can follow instructions and repeat shit, than an assessment of your learning
The other bonus would be that you get the correct answers in advance, if you did not understand the concept or if you were to scared to ask. I had shy students in some of my classes and they struggled because they were to shy to talk. I had limited time and 1-on-1 interaction was difficult to fit in on a daily basis after class, so these shy students suffered.
I would have welcomed someone with knowledge to fill in the gaps, where I failed due to time constraints, but it would be better if they gave extra tutoring, not doing all the work and getting paid for that.
