Rather then trying to force it into bitcoin core..
blockstream hold the access keys to bitcoin-core's github which means there is less choice or freedoms of blockstream proposals

i actually applaud gavin for not implementing his proposal into bitcoin-core and instead put it out as a separate choice. even if the underlining code didnt play well with the community

I think it's a good idea to have things separated in different reddits. What stops them from starting /r/BitcoinClassic or something? Gather enough consensus and if you can do this then you may take /r/Bitcoin as it would become officially Bitcoin, but for now it's considered an alt by definition.

Again this whole censorship thing? Theymos is handling this one much better than the first XT Brigading attempt, allowing people to discuss the merit of the matter and keeping

it professional. I would have had a hard time keeping my cool, if I had to mod that sub-reddit. How many times does he have to tell them that any fork competing with the

current longest chain, is not Bitcoin? I am against censorship, but if the rules of the sub-reddit states --> Promotion of client software which attempts to alter the Bitcoin

protocol without overwhelming consensus is not permitted.
....it should not be done. If it is done, it should not be tolerated and dealt with.

but atleast XT, BU and other attempts were separate proposals. rather then trying to force it into bitcoin core..
