hi , I am getting 4 HIS iceq gpu's  and will install them directly on motherboard without pci risers on Asus maximus VI mobo .But can anyone tell me how are HIS  cards in terms of quality and are they 2 slot cards  ?

Thanks in advance.

it'll be too hot for card 1, 2 and 3.. due to narrow spacing between them..and lack of air intake..

Yep, they each take two slots.

As GoldSeal says, without powered PCI risers you're likely to draw too much power from the mobo.

And I'm going to reiterate that without risers the centre two cards will overheat.

That's two reasons why the system could be very unstable.

You might also want to consider which PSU you'll feed all that hardware with.

it's a bad idea to run those cards directly on the board. you will probably draw 75 watts per card through the pcie interface and stand a good chance of watching your board burn up on you under full load.

If you need to ask, I suggest that you re-evaluate your choice.

HIS Digital is basically unbranded.  There's probably one or two people here who have heard of them, but not enough people to get a real grasp of the quality of the cards.

As for how much space they take - have a look at the web site, I don't know which model you've bought.

Running four of them on one mobo without risers?  If the cards have any horsepower, then they're going to get pretty toasty.  If you don't use risers then you'll probably cook the middle two leading to a very unreliable system.

Sorry to burst your bubble.
