anyone knows a good source to download charts?
 Huh

hourly candles over some months would be great
thx

Have you tried it with TradingViews charts? I think there is more complete to operate it and no need to download CSV or Excel.
Or Coinmarketcap to see the price of bitcoin in the past few years.
If you want to keep downloading, I don't have good sources and recommendations.

From what I know https://www.cryptodatadownload.com/ has what you need, for free (if not for commercial use). Hourly records for the last 2 years or so, daily for the last 5 years.
great. that site has very nice data. thanks alot

someone also knows where you could download charts. as kind of big pictures with lot of pixcel width then.
what i would need is a chart with hourly candles of the last 6 month as a download pictures.
you could make lot of screnshots in tradingview and put all together but there must be an easier way Smiley

trusted source is wikipedia, you can check here

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_bitcoin

you can copy and import it in excel. and you can short the data.
He is looking for bitcoin's hourly prices from August this year, probably for analysis, not brief information about the history of bitcoin like you thought.

Have you tried Coinmarketcap, in my opinion on the site is very complete to find crypto-related data, but I don't really know whether there is a CSV or Excel format, because I never downloaded it directly, just try it, good luck.
