"Hong Kong Expands Cross-Border Digital Yuan Trial, Allows Residents to Set Up E-CNY Wallets"- https://www.coindesk.com/policy/2024/05/17/hong-kong-expands-cross-border-digital-yuan-trial-allows-residents-to-set-up-e-cny-wallets/

I'm curious what you guys think about this.  Thanks to an awesome forum member, I was actually able to get my hands on a pack of Digital Yuan "hardware" wallet cards, and even got one funded with some digital yuan.  Now I'm fully aware this is not actually cryptocurrency, and is just another way for China, a dictatorship, to track it's citizens payments.  I am kind of shocked that HK is joining in on this, and to be honest I'm a bit out of the loop when it comes to HK/China relations, but from what I've been "told", is that basically HK is giving in to China..can anyone confirm that?

Anyways..if anyone in China or HK sees this, and is able to access any sort of digital yuan cards/hardware wallets (they made several for the Olypics in 2022 that look AWESOME) I would love to buy a few.

Though I'm not holding my breath, tbh this forum has made me so many great friends across the globe.  I consider myself a citizen of the world, and want peace and love and all that good stuff..but why are Chinese people so standoffish when it comes to chatting with "outsiders", or Americans?  Hands down the most difficult people to converse with, have open dialog with across the globe that I've encountered is Chinese/HK citizens.  I just don't understand why?
