As a few people know on here, byteminr is launching a new hosted hashing service in line with the release of the new mining rigs from KnCMiner.
We believe that mining at home will become really hard in the future, especially if the difficulty keeps jumping up the way it is right now.
While we have no control over the performance of the hardware itself, we do have control over our portal and services that enable it.
So, my question is this:
If you are considering replacing your GFX miner or Generation 1 Asic with a Next Generation device (or contract) in the coming months; what kind of features would you like to see in a hosted mining service? What kind of control / config / reporting would you like? What kind of security would you like see? What kind of flexibility in pricing and performance?
We have some great ideas of our own which we will be sharing the coming weeks, but we're open to all suggestions. We want to build our platform into a genuine viable alternative to owning and operating your own hardware at home, with the bitcoin mining community at its heart.
