I've seen quite a few outrageous priced items on ebay for some time now. I sometimes wonder if they're part of some money laundering activity or perhaps pre-negotiated for alternate items.

eg. two people make a deal for trading "something" and then list a legal item on ebay to make it appear as a legit transaction for a real item so there is an explainable money trail for income received.

In particular when I was shopping for an Android phone I noticed there were many ads for really high priced phones that made no sense. Anyone actually know what's going on there? I don't think sellers are just crossing their fingers hoping some idiot will buy a phone for double the actual MSR price.
