I was on the google looking for hosting companies where I found bitcoinasichosting.com, checked out their website and it looked promising.
Next I googled bitcoinasichosting.com reviews and the 1st thing that came up was Bitcointalk.

I called them but just got a VM saying the best way to contact them was thru the website.
The website's "archives" have not been updated since January 2015.

I think we may have a ghost ship here.

MAJOR UPDATE ON FIRST POST

How much per month with 40 KW? It's 100 Antminer S1's not Overclocked or anything.

There is another Datacenter close by that quoted a figure of 2.2 for our rating on the likeliness of any major natural event happening.   We are on high-ground and on a high redundant power grid because of our neighbors. 

We have a walk-through by our technician two times a day (morning & evening) along with me or my partner monitoring the farm constantly.  We have not had any major downtime due to service failures to date.  Yes, have have additional security precautions being put into effect and we are insured. 

We just completed the Opening on our 2nd hosting room and it is 4 times the size of our first.    Cheers!

I had a couple of questions for clarification:
How many miles from the coastline is the facility located and how far above sea level? I see the corporate listing is rather close, I just wanted to address the likelihood/risk of weather events causing an outage. You can be as vague on details as you desire.
Is there someone on site 24/7 yet or do you anticipate offering that sort of security as you grow? Again, please be as vague on details as you desire.

I too was excited when my Avalon Batch 2's came in. I did get those delivered and set up and in place, but unfortunately got screwed over hard on the Icarus trade-ins. Did you get screwed on any trade-ins as well?

That's a good point. Is there a formula for luck, such as "the more TH/s a pool has, the more luck will happen"?

I think BTC Guild is the biggest, but are'nt they the prime target for attacks, then?

I like Slush, OZ and BTC Guild.  I would rather have more luck that no fees.

So for now I could use any pool I want?

Do you recommend a certain pool? What's your opinion about eligius? Easy setup and no fees, sounds good to me.

Yes we do.   At this point we still don't have enough hardware delivered to make it worth the risk of running it.  I believe in 2-3 weeks it will go live with some large orders being delivered.

No problem.  Not sure why people are discussing merged mining on this thread.  Other than Bitcoin, most of the those others are not very useful. 

HVAC is a major expense but a part of the business.  It is cooler during the winter but hot during the summer so overall I need cooling no matter what. 

However, Groupcoin/i0coin are pretty much useless. There is no where to use or exchange them into other cryptocoins. Please correct me if I'm wrong, because I am leaving money on the table if so.

Sorry to derail your thread Dalkore, I hope your business is going well. It is a neat idea, at one point I wanted to do something similar, but HVAC setup costs proved to be too much to handle. I imagine you probably live in a much cooler part of the country too which helps a lot!

We actually already do that and now I am going to add it to the website. 

Example:  For our Avalons, we added server-grade exhaust fans to increase the exhaust airflow and lower the overall temperature in the box.  I have seen sustained 115-117 GH/s at 350 mhz Overclock settings.

For every unit type that comes in, we do research and look into what kinds of enhancements we can do to improve performance.   We really want our customers to get everything they can from their miners.   

I'm wondering if your tech crew would be (for a cost of course) be willing to perform upgrades on mining hardware. What I have in mind is say for example if the Avalon teams introduces 55nm mining blades for the Avalon platform, would your team swap out the old blades?

It is covered in my policy and yes please only take this is example language.   The actual coverage is very detailed but it is geared for data-centers that co-located equipment. 

Not sure I'd post that in case of future disputes.  Also that may soon be the only way to ROI. 

Insured as in a theft, freak accident like a utility fire or act of god.   The policy is like 200 pages and I actually am in the process of reading every page but it looks quite comprehensive.   No you would not be covered for future losses but the insured value would be based on the retail price.

When you say "Insured" be more specific. Are future losses from a hardware claim covered?

Absolutely.  You're not the first including myself to think about that topic.  You actually inspired me to write an article for our website based on this topic.  I will PM you with it when its done.

With that said I want to give you my opinion about hosting and centralization.

Basically this, mining is going to get more centralized period.  With depreciating returns in mining hardware investments, overtime the bulk of hashing power will be in a relatively fewer hands.  This may be a concern for some and even though I think it is a non-issue, I do understand the premise. 

When I decided to build the hosting facility, it was with the idea of lower operating costs and giving more people the ability to mine longer with the type of scale that will be needed in the future to operating profitably.  I hope people will agree with that assessment and support our business.  If not, I fear that this centralization will continue and independent miners will have a harder time to operate.

Sounds crazy man, but props if you pull it off

Right now I am working that out.  Currently I have 250~ amps of single phase power.    My plan is to do a upgrade to bring in 400 amps to each unit (2) for a total of 800.   I need to max out my current grid so I know the income is there so I can put the capital into this upgrade.   I need to basically install a second or larger conduit from the primary so it can accommodate a higher capacity line into my units.  Which means I need to dig up some asphalt and install a new board.   Fun fun.

what watts or power available at your facility? are you using 3 phase outlets? and how much AM do you have?

No limit, its all about available load.  As long as we can handle the load then its no issue.   I am giving priority to ASIC machines, then FPGA, Alt Coin (Litecoin) and last is GPU.

I've heard that data centers have limitations on the amount of power devices can consume. Are there any such power limitations for your service?

Ping on the bulk purchase. At what size orders will you consider a bulk discount? Consider me an anchor tenant. Also, how much space do you have left? This will be moot if your orders are already filled up. Looking for at least 30 machines that need parking space.

At this point I would prefer PSU's for ease of install,  I can source them for you if needed and I will look into other power distribution solutions.   We are about 25% full currently at the first space with our current power draw.   I am working with our electrician on Tuesday to see how much more we can get out of our board.   Potentially a large customer is coming on board, they may be moved into our optioned space.

 I am not sure if people feel better using words like "negligence".   We are not neglecting anything, like I said above, the engineer working on the pool is exploring how to implement merged mining.   We are exploring every avenue to create a cost effectively solution for our clients.   Our fee is reasonable and over time it goes down by the nature of Bitcoin.   

Actually yes, I am looking about what I need for extended coverage for all the units.   I manage the machines so you should not worry about them running anywhere near those temps.    Our facility is luckily sub-grade.   That means is has passive cooling built-in.   Along with conditioning, we will keep those Avalons nice and cool.

You might want to read their fine print on what happens when the difficulty gets high and their $33 power fee and $100 hosting fee doesn't cover the bills.  It looks like your payouts get delayed.    And honestly, BFL's track record is not stellar so I am would be skeptical on this type of offering.   

I would suggest thinking about the fact that having me have "skin in the game" by the the sheer fact I only get paid if I keep you mining cost effectively is a strong incentive.   

Also, once we get to 80,000,000 I am pretty sure we will be at capacity (hopefully), you might want to think about earlier plans for hosting.

Regardless, we are moving forward and its a great great location with plenty of power.

I thought only 3 coins can be merged mined? At least bitparking.com has only 3 and http://dustcoin.com/mining only shows 3 too. If its true what you said maybe someone has to code something first to make it possible? Or is there a software already that makes this possible?

9% fee is too much , a fixed fee per (Gh/s +power) will be more attractive

Simple math

BFL single 60Gh/s - BFL hosting data-center - power consumption 300w -  (hosting fee 100$ + power fee 33$) =  133$/mo
BFL single 60Gh/s - Dalkore Hosting - power consumption 300w - (hosting fee +power fee) =  9%  =  519$/mo

When difficulty will hit 80,605,633 i may consider hosting at 9% fee

I second that. Attracting big players with lower fees might be a good idea to overall raise the income of your business plan.

That power is incredibly cheap.

Is it possible to get bulk discount on the 9%? Say for 30 or so Avalon's? It seems you are catering for the single users but such a site with cheap electricity fees may be suitable for farms also, please consider!

Well the reason for the pool is to actually reduce the overall operating costs for our clients.   We take client data very seriously.   Their privacy is one of our up-most concerns.  We have a backoffice system that is setup just for this task.  This has been something we have discussed and made appropriate accommodations.  People consult in our management service for our expertise.  Our LLC is formed for that reason. 

Pool does not have an additional fee at this point.   We can look into merged mining (sending an email to my engineer now).   We are importing miner right now.  I know sending from the EU to U.S. does not require VAT and I am checking on possible import duties.  We have a program to assist with this costs if they are onerous.     

Ok, maybe the word was too hard. I only thought about financial controls. If there would be a fee only then its normal hosting. IRS wont matter. If they get the idea that money is being created there that could change. A customer list would be available too. And a 9% fee on the income could be a hint. Of course it might be possible to keep the mining income hidden and only give out bills that contain the fee. But maybe it would be strange why the fee is changing every month and questions could arose where its based on.

We are going to being mining in our private pool.   Dangerous is very strong language to use in my opinion.  Also I do not see this connection of "bitcoins mined are openly known to government".  Nothing will be openly known to anyone except a very small team that is assisting me with technical support so I have coverage throughout the day in case a miner goes down.  I know everyone on my team for a minimum of 5 years and most 10+.    

Now potentially it could have additional space for pure co-location but at this point, people want a fully managed service and that fits well with my skill set and that of my team.   Another point is the carrying costs of this location and the increased expenses as more hardware is accepted.  A flat fee would make assumptions that will rapidly change as difficulty increases.   You don't want that, what you want is my revenue based on keeping your machines mining, that give me such a strong incentive to continually reduce expenses and get cheaper power.   The game is who can keep their miners running the longest.  I am an excellent option if you want to play that game.  

I hope this helped give you some insight to my position.   I am hitting the road soon to head over to the new location.  I will have limited internet access (enjoying the drive) and then I will follow-up to answer all these great questions.

I think a 9% fee is dangerous because it means you control the amount of bitcoins mined with it. That means all the bitcoins mined are openly known to government. That could raise questions.

On the other hand... if you only would take a flat fee or something it would be a normal datacenter where people store their computer for low power cost. What the computers do would be the thing of the customer.

Do you sell any hardware?
We are not selling any hardware at this time.  We only provide server co-location for hardware that has already been purchased by our customers.  Our clients save time and money by directly sending their units for us for documenting, configuring and hosting.

What mining services are provided?
We provide an all-inclusive hardware co-location service specific for cryptographic mining.  Your miner will mine on a preferential server on a major pool.  We have extensive measures to receive instant notification whenever a unit is not hashing.  Our team is able to respond to these issues immediately and provide you with the highest up-time possible.

How long are hosting terms?
