I tried to use namecheap with vcc: namecheap cancelled the transaction (they may not accept vcc) and they never released the domain.  Combine bitpay problems with namecheap not realeasing tlds if purchase is cancelled.......well be careful, dont want anyone to loose a domain they had their heart set on.

Try with Namesilo. It's my favourite registrar. in addition to standard payment methods, they also accept Bitcoin. You can pay in Bitcoin using Bitpay payment processor, but I prefer to use direct transaction because of so high tx fee when using Bitpay.
I had some problem with the domain in the redemption period problem, and their support solves it very fast to my satisfaction.
Around 20 years I am in the business with domaining, and I moved all my domains from Godaddy and Namecheap there.

Here you go.
One service provider that you can add to your list. VULTR.

Note:
For paying using bitcoin, you can only do it start on 2nd payment. On 1st payment, you still have to pay via other fiat payment methods (paypal /cc/wepay/alipay). For this crypto payments, VULTR is cooperate with bitpay to provide that services.

You can take a look at Hostinger too. I've been using them for few years without any complaints. It's cheap and they have great 24/7 live support. And one their advantage against Namecheap that they use Coinpayments payment proccessor, not BitPay.
There is another service Serveria.com, I haven't used them, but they have ANN thread here:

Yeap. namecheap is good. I used to use godaddy, but namecheap prices are in most cases lower.
As far as i can remember, GoDaddy doesn't accept paiements using bitcoin. Op asked about bitcoin based host service and i would also recommend using Namecheap as the best option. I tried to use it once, but i wasn't lucky to find the right domain as not all extensions are supported. However, it's the best option for wordpress users as it gives a great assisstance.

Thanks, I'll check Namecheap out.   Smiley
In case you're still looking for one:
- In addition to other suggestions, you can try "SteadyTurtle [their ANN thread]" as well...
  • They've listed promo codes on their Ann thread.
  • I personally used them back in the days [2015-16] and everything was smooth.

How come you guys have never heard of Vultr or Digital ocean? They accept BTC too, I used to run a bunch of Masternodes on Vultr about a year ago. However, they both use Bitpay (I am not too sure about Digital ocean) and like @mindrust said, Bitpay's been getting real sloppy these days.

However, as hosts, both DO and Vultr have quite a reputation in crypto circles. Namecheap is an overall global leader unlike those other two.

Personally use namecheap. They accept bitcoins. Quite friendly support as well

I just checked it, they offer You pay $17.28 for the first year and renewal at $33.88/year, very cheap for a hosting plan that allows you to have at least 3 sites on it. Namecheap is very well known for being just a domain registrar but they are now up for hosting as well. If you are looking for a reliable company which ad been around for decades, this is it.

I am a regular user of Namecheap. The one you talking about is Stellar Hosting Plan which is basic plan for Shared Hosting. It is awesome plan for small developers. However, if someone wanna work on comparatively bigger scale, Stellar Plus is awesome choice. With just 50-60% higher rates as compared to Stellar Basic, one can get hosting for unlimited websites, with unmetered bandwidth and storage. On top of that you get 2GB RAM which is awesome. I renewed my yearly Stellar+ on Black Friday and got free domain too.  Cool

However, you cannot make direct purchase via Bitcoins. You first have to load Bitcoins in your account and then you can make a purchase. What I suggest is to first add all items you want to purchase in 'Add Cart' then proceed to checkout page, see the total amount of invoice and then load the exact USD amount in terms of bitcoin and then pay for the invoice. In this way, you will prevent having residue amount in your account.

PS: this is not Service section thread. OP you can move it to 'Service Discussion' section.

Namecheap offers bitcoin payments via bitpay. Although I don't recommend using bitpay because it sucks as a payment processor, I don't know any other services which take btc directly. Namecheap itself is quite solid.
