Should be thankful they have stopped they can get real annoying!
Not all of us are, they are useful for pm notification and other stuff as I want to know that I received a pm. If you feel that it is annoying, change the settings in the profile for email accordingly.

Exactly. Easy to turn off. But very convenient if you want to be notified in case of a sale or trade.

I haven't had an issue with receiving notifications via hotmail. Is this a widespread issue?

Reporting in here that mine seem to be working fine Feb 11 date
May just be intermittent although I do not see a resolved message here yet so maybe its still impacting some users.

Theymos said Hotmail is dropping mails very frequently. I recently switched to Hotmail after gmail blocked my account and have this issue since then. The best solution is to either contact them or just switch to another mail service provider.

Unfortunately, the best you can do is switch to something that works (like Gmail) or complain to hotmail. You can forward all your hotmail emails to your new gmail if you set it up, and change BitcoinTalk to gmail if you want.

this is the best solution or change email in profile that is the best set everything to gmail i use it and never had any issues.

There are several people who all stopped recieving them on the 28th for some reason, though some people's hotmail accounts seem to be unaffected. Doesn't seem to be working on outlook either.

This is a known issue and happened as of roughly when the forum went down (this may or may not be related).

Emails from the forum have always been treated as spam by most major email providers so it is possible that hotmail tweaked their anti-spam settings so to not even deliver emails from the forum

Stay away from hotmail? Sorry.

AFAIK you can just contact MS/Outlook.com support as hotmail was bought by Microsoft a while back.
