I don't disagree. I know you are just spreading awareness. I just wanted to say that there might be people on the forum who generally look good, but they have evil mindsets and can use these methods to scam others. It’s not like I am trying to disappoint you or asking you not to write such posts; I appreciate that you tried to help the community. I just wanted to point out the possibility.

Regarding the leaked data, I guess it is too easy to collect such data from black market forums. Hackers sell important data on the Internet, which other hackers buy and use to scam people. I don’t want to mention any websites for security reasons.

the video vaguely touched on another layer of possible scammery..
when they discussed the whole "cashing out" where they would employee other people to do the cashing out to avoid the scammer from KYC hindrances.. this is called 'muling' (mule-ing, like drug mules) where they use other people to do the cashing out and send the scammer a amount of fiat minus a fee.. this is also a scam risk as scammers then con people into laundering for them.. where the scammer can also scam the mules(ask for fiat upfront but never give the coin)

if you get contacted with a opportunity to buy bitcoin at discount or do currency swap/mixing privately, be careful, you might end up being a mule where the so called discount or commission for the task can cost you

I watched the whole video and it really pissed me off hearing the scammer talk in that way, very unremorseful, even though he said he does feel bad to the people who are kind and trust him over the phone, i don't believe that bullshit; you don't try to steal from people and you are worried about how they treat you over the phone.

I hope less and less people will fall for this, the scam trick is very obvious, just hang up the phone when you receive calls like this, and your funds shouldn't even be on Coinbase to begin with.

That's right don't know how can they be so focused on doing something like that illegal here I am if do something wrong not like scamming others but little bad deeds like lying or laziness and other stuff I can't focus on my work until I do that right. And don't know why these dudes don't feel guilt. Even they try to scam old peoples, last time there was a news on this same section that some old woman lost a good amount of money in a fake video calling scam in which the scammers used AI To mimic the face of France president if I am not wrong and asked the old lady to send him some money and she sent it.

These are really cold-hearted and they should be caught and punished but one thing is unique for me and that is, I did not think they would be making that much profit in the first place and in the second place in one week. I mean, are they able to scam that much? I am shocked by the way.

This is definitely interesting, but it could also defraud people. It's definitely improving with the accent and stuff. It's crazy that they earn five digits, and they are really targeting people who have money. They are not the usual scammers and have these tools to scam people.

I have not seen this video before but it reminds me of some other theft cases that I read on paper and it all caused me to be very aware and conscious of anything am doing that can conflict my privacy. These scammers uses all of the same old strategy and victims are those that are not yet informed.

Thanks for the video and everyone needs to be careful on the open net and always remember that, no one will be held responsible for their losses because at this point and the way things are going, it seems these guys are not even ready to stop but rather to increase their earnings and portfolios.
I don’t know how best to say this but I think safety should be a very often topic of discussion so as to keep everyone steadily reminded of how important their safety and that of their assets really do matters and only thrm can be responsible for anything that happens to it.

It's more important to spread the word for awareness, than for the possibility that someone replicates the same method. Also, these scammers hold vast amount of leaked data, otherwise it wouldn't be possible to target groups of people so accurately.

watch all them tv shows and news reports where old grandma's get hit multiple times and end up losing it all, simply because each time doesnt feel like a huge loss(nigerian love traps, insurance scams, inheritance scams)

heck there are people here that get scammed and then they get called by 'recovery experts' that promise to find and return lost funds, for an upfront fee.. and they fall for it

blackhatcoiner doesnt belong to a secret organisation(but he wishes he did), he instead takes scammy advice from a (now silent)mentor to try to persuade the bitcoin community to drop bitcoin and instead use a risky flawed buggy subnetwork that has many ways for people to lose funds, whilst he pretends he is a influencer of bitcoin dev connection by kissing their ass like they are gods, just to fake his own rep...... so its then funny how this month he is trying to act like some fund safety advocate

i dont trust that this month is a lightbulb moment of him changing his ways and becoming ethical.. its just to fake some idea that people should trust him now that his friends have abandoned him and he needs to find new ones

scams like the video mentions are not new, hense the point of topic seems more of a blackhat reputation/trust creator rather that a new news topic

I think there's a panic attack whenever the victims read that something's wrong with their Coinbase wallet or any wallet/exchange that these scammers(hackers) tell them. That's why they become like kids following the instructions and whatever they are told to do.

That's what he said but in general, it's all about people with money regardless of whether it's $50k or not because they'll never know who are those with actual $50k and not. And even sadly, even with those holders that have a lot of Bitcoins or holdings, many of them are ignorant of security flaws that can come to their emails and they still click those unsolicited emails because of their emotions triggering after reading that something's wrong with their crypto wallets and exchanges accounts.

That also surprised me, a small Youtuber with less than 300 views, many of which probably derived from this topic, which currently has over 120 views. I've been a subscriber of Pleasant Green since the start of his channel, and I'm also a fan of Jim Browning; both are great and have tackled a large number of scammers and fake call centers.

This scam attempt is nothing sophisticated; he's simply an impersonator who tricks you into giving them access to your account and personal details after clicking his phishing link and submitting them yourself, without a clue in the world. That's how most scams operate. No one is going to get your money if you don't let them trick you; there's no way it can suddenly disappear. Now that would be sophisticated.

Those that engage in this low value theft will eventually get dissatisfied and want to move to the "big leauges" like the one in the video where they target $50k and above. Because the more successful they get with every under $5k, the more their confidence grows and so their appetitie for more. And as for federal crime - they will be willing to risk it all.

Anyone who falls for the same scam twice is not very smart. The first one should have made them very conscious, suspicious and higly critical of any email, text, or phone calls that doesn't look normal.

This seems to be a relatively small Youtube channel. Are you promoting it or something?
There are way bigger Youtubers out there, that are exposing scammers and actively scambaiting to waste the time of many scammers.
Just take a look at Coffeezilla, Pleasant Green, Kitboga and Jim Browning. They are the best in this niche. There's no point for me to watch this Youtube video. I'm aware of most crypto scam methods. I would never believe someone calling me and pretending to be customer support of a crypto exchange. I know that crypto exchange customer support teams just don't have the time to call random users by the phone.

While the scammers are working hard to steal from notable investors, it is paramount that we as investors and potential investors work way harder to keep upgrading our knowledge on the best practices to stay safer, because in the end, it doesn't matter the kind of hardware or hot wallet that one uses,  what will matter is the attention one pays to details of transaction and every other issue that surrounds the security of these wallets and processes.

This is why it is also important to read up on more subjects in this forum that borders around this topic of scams and hacks so as to stay trendy and be more aware of the ways to protect oneself from these hiccups.

there are scam tricks where they specifically look for people to scam for under $5k because small amounts means that victims are less likely to try to get funds back or report it, as the cost of chasing them and if caught, the court case ends up costing more to just process than the chance of recompense.. so low value theft is like a get out of jail free card(avoid federal crime)

also as said they look for easily fooled victims using unsophisticated scams, where they create their own 'suckers list' which they sell the list to other scammers, so if you have been scammed once already, you are on a suckers list and will get targeted more often by more scam groups

It is scary. I am imaging all the websites that I have signed up on such as Unchained which was mentioned. I don't even have $50k but it still bothers me deep down knowing that even though these scammer looks for top earners, there are also scammers who are looking for low-income earners. Those who are looking for those who have $500 - $2k. And low.

It is funny how as we are working hard to earn money the right way, there are those (scammers) working hard to steal that money from us.

I understand that you are trying to spread awareness. But there is a possibility people will learn how to scam from these things. There are a lot of bad people in the world, and they look too good in real life. I have been watching some YouTube videos from Scammerspayback, kitboga, and a couple of more YouTubers who actually troll with the scammers.

Most of these scam call centers are located in India. I have watched hundreds of episodes so far. I see some people learned these tricks from YouTube, and now they are doing it on their own. But most of them work for scam call center companies. Their payment is based on commission. So, they focus on scamming people.

I don't personally agree to that part where he says their target is restricted to people with an account that's more than $50k, even though that might be their primary target, you get a lot of phishing popups on your device even when you have an account on a minor exchange that doesn't have up to a thousand dollar.

truth is that any one can be attacked but the most vulnerable people should be newbies that don't take there security seriously and not those that already know that being careless with there security posses a threat to them. if you have $50k worth of a crypto that you are holding, you should be familiar with phishing and whatever attack hackers might want to come out with. we know you cant be too careful but once you have done your own part by putting the simple security systems in place, whatever basic or sophisticated hacking strategy that might be used against you have a slim chance of getting to you.

It is pretty wild how ruthless these scammers are, showing no remorse for anything they do or even the slightest second thoughts on how what they are doing is greatly affecting the victim and yet they prey on them like they are a pig for slaughter. One day though everyone gets what's coming to them, I feel sorry for them really because come judgement day they are so F#$ked. 

Whatever the type and form of crime, all of them are truly heinous and dishonorable, especially if their targets are people who are really not rich. i think they don't care who their targets are, and this is truly immorals. So, from this video we need to learn a lot to avoid scams, data theft, or other types of crime, namely by carefully maintaining the confidentiality of our personal data, especially keeping our bitcoin, and if possible, storing it offline, and use another secondary wallet for main or daily activity. So, if something wrong happened, our main vault of bitcoin is really safe.

It's easy to avoid this scam, all you need to do is never click anything and don't move anything.

There's smarter scam strategy, which is using KYC to get online loan apps. They're creating fake bounties, fake giveaway or fake job vacancy where KYC is the requirement to participate.

After that they will submit the KYC to online loan apps, withdraw the money to bank accounts they purchased from other people.

It's because the world become more capitalist, religion and moral are nothing, money is everything.

It is highly recommended for anyone to always follow the latest information about the fraud tricks used by fraudsters, this is important to be aware of so as not to get caught in their actions. There are many types of fraud that can be used by fraudsters, one of which is phishing, this type of fraud targets its victims via email, social media, or text messages, anyone needs to think twice before opening links or files sent especially by strangers. Ignoring anything sent by a stranger is better than being curious about the message. As a prevention of fraudsters stealing my assets, every message sent will be ignored and put into the spam list.

That's why we need to protect our identities and be more private because there are many unscrupulous people out there who will steal something valuable that we have. Their principle is simple, stealing using the skills they have, I also read some news that there were a group of young people stealing bitcoins from someone's wallet and they started planning something evil by contacting the perpetrators who said they were the service party of the wallet used.

If we are smart enough and aware, there is actually no service that will contact us unless we send them a message via the service number or email. Theft occurs due to negligence, therefore protect the assets we have and never give anything that is asked by others. Being anonymous is much better and let people not know that we have a number of bitcoins in the wallet we have.

Has anyone seen the video? It seems to me that few or none, as usual in these threads. I was wondering if they were pure psychopaths who don't care about stealing a few satoshis from poor people but the scammer says he targets people who have at least $50K, which is what he has from an Unchained Capital database. I guess this way he feels better thinking that he is “only” stealing from rich people, but what doesn't make sense to me is that people with so much money (according to him bankers, businessmen, etc) fall into the trap. I guess that as in all scams they play with big numbers and only with 1 successful scam in a month (by mistake or whatever) it pays the prize.

Spear phishing with a bit of social engineering makes most people a vulnerable target. Unfortunately, this is going to continue as long as people are willing to put their information everywhere. Data leaks provides these scammers with what they need to make you believe that they are from Coinbase, or any other credible company. The easiest way is to avoid leaving your information everywhere, and take everything that you see with a grain of salt. If in doubt, probe them further and directly contact the company.

the scammer is not doing anything sophisticated. he is playing the same scam games as the old fiat scammers, just a different currency

even the scam itself is not complex nor needs any complex method, its a numbers game.
call 4000 people a week and hope to get 1-3 victims a week out of many thousands of attempts.

im surprised with blackhatcoiners past with his mentors teachings that blackhatcoiner doesnt recognise the games, or maybe he does and is just trying to fame up the scam like its a higher level of intelligence than it is, to add to his ego that his own social manipulation games are just as high as he presents the scammers as

the video is a guide to some to learn what to watch out for, but the general rule is no one should be calling you and asking you to move funds, whether its bitcoin or fiat. dont click links or reveal info to a inbound call. always use the official site or call the official service
dont do anything to any incoming communication that were not pre-planned/arranged officially

and the biggest lesson to learn from the scammers trick book.. they prefer the unsophisticated tricks, because if a smart person starts asking questions, they know he is less of a dupe, thus ends up too much work convincing them, so they prefer dumb tricks for dumb people so they can find the easy victims faster and just ditch the ones needing too much time to convince
this is why most scams seem stupidly obvious(to some), as they are designed to be

Our information online is more likely risks for us,  data are being kept and analysed for evil and good, phishing attacks can never stop, this is one of the most innovative scam ever.

One thing I must mention, we need to be cautious of the messages and calls we responds to and not believe every information we get from them, especially in scenarios like this. Also, never let fear run over you and thereby ignoring all this proofs of scams.

And if i do see one, I just go to the app if there's a notification there then it's true

Delete or move to spam and forget about it.
I'm quite cautious with what I'm clicking and sites I access that's why I use different devices

It's usually a psychological battle first before technical

The trick is simple if we're going to think about it but that scammer uses a different term to validate a "notification" and a "request" just to let the victims click their phishing link and make them freak out about their Coinbase account or whatever account these scammers will tell you that there's something wrong. And they don't target poor people as he said, they target people with real money, a minimum of $50k. Wow, I cannot imagine that these people with money can still be ignorant and scammed by these guys even if there's nothing special about it. I think the way they talk can psychologically make their targets who are professionals as he described gullible to them. For most people that likes to sign up to whichever websites, airdrops and anything, be careful and don't use your main emails on them because that's how they've said it that they've got the database for the "unchained" users or wherever they get that from.

The moment we upload our private information online, that's the moment we are likely exposing ourselves to scammers. You, their victims, will never know they are getting scammed because of the trick they used on them.
 
Just imagine where you are being called by not just a common scammer but someone who has your complete private details as if they work directly with the exchange you use. How can you not believe them?
 
Then again, the point where they advise you to move your fund into your own cold wallet, not the one they give to you, never will it occur to the victim that this is the point where they are going to get scammed. The only place their victims make mistakes is where they try to reconfirm their seed phrase, and the scammer will get hold of it.

It's incredible how many bad people there are out there who just want to steal from you. They are just a different breed. Cold and unprincipled. Disgusting and unjust, but important to be aware of.
