Well Last I remember is they are still ironing out the bugs with the test net
Main net will be released when everything is stable and solid
Anyways they will be releasing update before the start of minning on their twitter and slacks channels so relax there is still plentiful time
Anyways if u like to test Your mining hardware u can check it on the test net on one of the many pools including suprnova etc
