America fucked up Libya and Iraq real bad. With Afghanistan at least we are seeing how cruel the Taliban is. Iraq was also oppressive but not to the same degree and can pretty much be ignored if not for the oil. Libya was the saddest one. It's far from being fucked up. It have tourist industry prior to the civil war for example. I still hear people say Gaddafi's mistake was he was not bad enough a dictator. Shouldn't have given the people public education and internet.

Well with Afghanistan, it was their way to get back at the Taliban who was in charge of the country (which was partly America's doing too to halt Russian expansion). For Iraq, it was the false information of the presence of nukes (funny, North Korea haven't been invaded yet despite the blatant testings). Libya though, that was just one, big fuck up. They shouldn't have been there.


Heard of the Cambodian campaign only recently. How come Cambodia never sued America for that? Imagine getting bombed by another country you're not even at war with.

It's really ironic how the USA is called the masters of modern day democracy but what they actually know to do best is topple regimes and wreck havoc across countries example of these are Libya,Iraq and even Afghanistan.

The joke is probably already known to you by now.... "They have [insert resource here]? Let's bomb them to democracy!"

Any possible ulterior motives aside, bombing a country to democracy ain't gonna work if those countries never had institutions that would support any democratic system imposed on them. It takes time to change a society.

A lesser known fact was America was also partly responsible for the genocide in Cambodia. They conducted bombing raids in Cambodia - a kingdom they were not at war with - to rat out Vietnamese targets. The resulting chaos led to toppling of the monarchy and the rise of Khmer Rouge and we all know what happened next.

I think I agree about why USA failed in creating democracy with that video. Democracy means that people rule, which means that people need to support that. If you don't have people's big support for the new system in a country then they will just go back to the old or a similar system. And if there is a huge support for the change, then the change would already happen or would be quite obviously on it's way. No one can really stop a big revolution, this is why democracy naturally occurred in many countries and rarely goes back from it. Force can't help that much with democracy, war can't bring peace, you can't go the other way and expect to get to the destination. Only thing USA does in those countries is that it makes people feel invaded by the outside powers so it gives them incentive to pull together against such power.

It was always obvious that USA never cared about spreading democracy with these wars, it is obvious that it doesn't work. It was always about oil or some military strategy to take out competition. It isn't surprising that even sanctions are always on oil and that the least democratic country in the world, Saudi Arabia, that is a literal absolute monarchy and second by executions per capita (where they literally have town squares with holes in the ground for blood when the cut people's head of) and one of the biggest violator of human rights, not only didn't get invaded by USA, but are great allies with it and ask them on "information" on who they should attack next and fund their regime with training and weapons to keep the oppression of their people possible. USA is just taking out oil competition for countries that don't want to follow OPEC's (organization created and hosted by Saudi Arabia) decisions on what the oil price would be and who can sell how much of it. None of this is a conspiracy theory by the way, it is public knowledge. The only thing that some people still claim is that USA government had good intentions, but made mistakes and somehow continue making them. 2 million civilians died in War on Terror and USA estimates (they have no idea) about couple of tens of thousand terrorist were killed. And they just keep doing this more and more just like that. So how trusting do you have to be to believe that someone makes the same "mistake" for decades and keeps doing it more and more while attacking pretty much only oil competitors by force and by sanctions and not attacking obvious targets for the cause they claim to be fighting for and instead support them. This wouldn't be dumb to believe in, this would be just insane, so it is obvious that people just don't pay much attention, because in 5 minutes of research you can see the obvious play here if you dare to doubt the government and actually do fair research. Furthermore, USA government system is less democratic them in most countries where they have a bear minimum of democracy by giving people two preselected choices every election. Is it really a choice who rules the country when they get selected for you? Parties choose who they want to, not who people want. we saw that in Hillary email leaks, we also saw that they help the least popular candidates in the other party in order to have a better chance of winning, which would work in a normal non-two party system, as you would have an unlimited amount of competition. The whole US government is a joke, have been ruled by the ruthless elite since it's relatively recent birth as a country. It's population isn't the richest on average, but has most of the world's richest people and businesses, it shows who is attracted to it and who rules it. A country where companies funds politics in broad daylight and appoints politicians in their companies. No one is this stupid, people just don't care. They dream about being one of the elite so they let the elite rule them for now. No ruthless empire lasts long, history has shown, USA is just too young, hopefully nukes don't change the game and we see the rest of the world fall with it.

So what do you think? How could America have done it differently? Of course whether they did all that for their own good is up to question but as we see now, the results haven't been pretty.
