What I found weird is that if you look at the block listings https://bitminter.com/blocks?commodity=all
The Namecoin blocks are generated more frequently, but whenever someone generates a bitcoin block, the same person will generate a namecoin block at the same time.

So the namecoin chain is identical to the bitcoin chain, just at a lower difficulty?
yes, this is to be expected, the same share is submitted to namecoin and Bitcoin, with Bitcoin having higher difficulty more nmc blocks are expected, which also means for merged mining a winning bitcoin share will also generate a namecoin block.

NMC is a blockchain based DNS system
it uses the same proof of work as Bitcoin but a lower difficulty - shares are submitted to both a bitcoind and a namecoind, with NMC's lower difficulty you would expect to see a NMC block for every BTC block when merge mining, you would also expect to find more NMC blocks than BTC blocks

Why is it that whenever someone finds a Btc block, they find a Nmc block within 10 minutes afterwards? Is there some sort of connection I'm missing here?
