It's purely time and place and who you know. By the time a project is visible it's too late.
Agree, when you creating project you often meet people by sharing knowledge or asking questions or even teamming up with others.
Then from people you got to know now you can select more trustworthy ones and see what happens next. Its very important to work together not alone.

Most moderators are people that enter very early in the project.

First, you need to have trust in the project, and ask yourself what can you bring to help develop it.

It could be anything like supporting new comers for technical support, helping setting the discord, spread dev team words and so on...

It is time consuming  Wink

I've seen several Telegram mods usually start by getting close to one of the team, show their interest in the project by freely helping them to manage the chats and then applying for the position. However, I personally think that a project who doesn't manage the chats by themselves (their core team isn't present, like project managed by Amazix) is not so transparent and not good. So If I were you, I'd only apply for the job if the team is also actively answering/managing the chats.

Been recruited as a campaign or community manager is not what's important firstly you must be sure you have the require computer skill/knowledge and time to manager a project because moderating work as you said is not an easy task.

With that been said, I will advice you to open a thread on service section area which will be serve as thread for promoting and showcase what you can do and you can open an account on Linkedin with angellist which seems to be a social site where some manager can hire.

Each project would have their own criteria but whatever the case is, you would have to prove that you're capable of managing the campaign. If you have no past experience, it's gonna be tough to land your first few campaigns without an upper hand to those who do.

If I were you I'll also work on building my reputation in this forum so ppl can see me as reliable/with a good judgement (spend time here, read and help ppl). Pretty sure most renowned managers here become an established member first before they managed a campaign.

I see a lot of projects on this forum and some of them have moderators who joined  a long time again while others joined recently. So I wonder how this moderators are recruiter, what are the criteria to be one of this moderators and how can I apply to moderate a project if I have interest, so I can join.

I saw that many people write a post about the fact that they sent a private message to the founder of the thread about the project. (usually it is CEO or marketing manager). Such posts usually appear on the same day when announcement thread about the project appears. They probably ask about the work of a moderator. They do the same on the Telegram channels.

If you are talking about the Campaign managers of Signature campaigns by some ICO(Initial Coin Offering)/ ITO(Initial Token Offering) then most of the them are hired by their own company to create a new account to manage their own thread here at the forum but most of the time they would get a well known or trusted signature manager that will manage their campaign for them.

most of the campaign managers do have recent works and visuals to show of what can they do in managing campaigns, you can be like them though but you need to work as there's no shortcut for it.

Go to their social media pages and interact with people. Study the project and help users.

Sometimes the service board has some offers for this kind of service, such as telegram moderator whatever

It's purely time and place and who you know. By the time a project is visible it's too late. Make a noise and network on existing projects and perhaps you'll make some future possibilities.

If by moderators you mean campaign manager or community manager then you have to advertise yourself either via service board or in the various telegram group chat of the suppose project you're interested in. Note, most project only accept those with pass moderating (community management) experience therefore you should list some of yours in your resume.

If you don't have any experience you can start by appying to manage local telegram community (groupchat) of well known project and build your Reputation from their.
