How are people getting Mh/s or even Gh/s

Day's of CPU/GPU are over. Do the math and most likely you would run at a cost that is more then you make.

Look at asics they are much more efficient, and the reason you are seeing such high specs on BTC mining.

To answer all your questions easily, nowadays special external hard wares are used for mining that are built for the soul purpose of mining only and that's why they have GH/s and up instead of what your getting from your GPU and CPU which for a fact , mining with those has long been no longer profitable as you really won't make any thing in the long run with the current difficulty of mining ... Depending on your budget, there are some cheap usb miners out there all the way to the Big ang costly Antminers which are also happen to be one of the best for mining at the moment

Thats because GPU and CPU is absolutely improper hardware to mine Bitcoin. You need dedicated ASIC that will return thousands of times more hashrate for less power.

Hmm, i can get over 40,000 khhashs in the benchmark
but when i put it to work online, all the hashes are invalid by CPU, so i guess i gotta stick to 700
