There are lots to consider when choosing an altcoin or alts to invest in, but I focus more on where the token is listed it's more like the most important and relevant of them all, because before a can be listed an a very reputable exchange it must really have tried to prove itself worthy.

There are other things to look at like the trading volume, on chain activity or utility etc. But when the listing part is covered i just go ahead to gamble with those coins because it might pay off some day.

How Are You Identifying Potential Coins for the Bull Run?

The best way to choose coins for long term investment is to pick gems such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana from top-20 projects listed on coinmarketcap, due their well established reputation with good historical record of performance. Additionally, we need to pinpoint the new sectors those are building narratives of advanced technology, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Real world Assets (RWA), and invest in coins with potential to excel in the next bullish market.

Checking should be done prior to investing...
 - exchanger
 - use case
 - people behind

New projects haven't that kind if stuff which is hard for them to consider when investing and of course, that was not easy for them to put on the list in top exchanges like Binance.

How do you find presales? and is there any now that you have suggestion for

Check for launchpads and reputed exchanges as most potential coins are now directly getting listed on exchanges through launchpads. I have seen some similarities with listing on Binance. Before they list any coins they would always announce it and you can check where exactly that coin is listed before Binance listing. You can buy that coin and then wait for the listing to happen on Binance. If you have enough BNB then put them on Binance launch pool and whenever they list a new coin you would get a good share of it.
It is a big factor for new projects to get listed in known and big exchanges as this will be an encouraging factor for investors to consider when choosing. That is why I don't go anywhere to look for a gem but rather stay on big exchanges because we believe that all the coins listed on that particular platform have market potential.

I'm not too sure but it seems like memecoin is always there in every bull phase, maybe memecoin provides instant profits, and many people want to get things like that, so every phase there will always be people who buy and become rich at that time.
I think there is no instant profit in investment, including meme coin investment. they also have to do research to determine potential meme coins in the future and they also have to wait for the meme coin to hype to make a profit. Plus after investing in meme coins the risk of loss is much greater than investing in altcoins that have utility.

And some of those are the aptos, Arb, people, and others who can tell if it's their first time to face or join the bull run and halving, so I am pretty sure that this is also the first time that they will be able to show their ATH high this coming bull run.

Maybe, maybe not. Hard to defeat Bitcoin and Ethereum because both have gained significant market share and are the first in their categories that have boomed. Alt L1s and L2s on the other hand, it's pretty much a battlefield. There's no clear answer right now which ones would actually have long-term staying power.

You make a valid point. Bitcoin and Ethereum have indeed established themselves as dominant players in the cryptocurrency space, benefiting from first-mover advantage and widespread adoption. However, when it comes to alternative Layer 1 and Layer 2 solutions, the landscape is far more dynamic and uncertain. While there may not be a clear answer right now, staying informed and remaining adaptable to market dynamics can position investors to navigate the evolving landscape more effectively.

for me that is so hard to find as we have been here for how many times now that there are no consistency about each potential.

but I kept checking those 3 accounts here that I which believe about being knowledgeable in altcoins.

so you are for memecoins? then which coins are those mate? because I think there are AI and Layer2 projects that dominate the market now.

I think the coin you mentioned is a new coin right? Honestly I don't follow them so I don't know whether they have potential or not. But in my investment strategy, I prefer the safe path. Choosing top tier coins like BNB and Solana is the best way for me. Indeed, investing in new coins can increase the opportunity for bigger profits, but it also carries big risks. I prefer to buy coins during presale and that can give me more.

But I see that the coins on your list have a chance because they are already available on good exchanges like Binace and others. I hope you are lucky with your choice.

I've heard of the tokens you mentioned but I haven't dabbled much with tokens. How these tokens develop and whether the rush can live up to their potential in the future, I think is the biggest challenge. Many projects are creating hype in the current market. Even after listing on top exchanges, projects are scamming, many are heard of falling prey to scams. At present I think it is very risky to invest in new projects, projects are waiting for different opportunities in the market how to loot money from customers. I think it's best to invest in top 10-15 coins where risk potential is very low.
If I'm not thinking within the range of the top 10 cryptos, then it's probably not for me, I'm personally quite skeptical about new projects, despite how they can be profitable on the short term and give many times ROI, investing in them is simply gamble, because there are more scam projects than legit. Although if any investor is able to take the risks, then let them research well and invest, if they get into a good one, then it'll be good profits for them. Tokens being listed on top reputable exchanges are not a guarantee that they'll be potential assets to hold on the long term, I'm just saying.
I agree, the top names are the ones for me and I agree that it makes the most sense as well. I understand why people may see it and think of it like nothing too great but it is not the smart idea and we should consider that as the most weird question.

Like why would I want to invest into something smaller? That doesn't make sense, the whole world decided which ones to make the most money and ranked them high, if the whole world put their money into 10 coins that make sense, then why would I want to be any different from them? I understand that it may feel weird for some people but it just doesn't make sense for me, it is not really that great. I hope to make it work somehow, and just keep it within the most known ones as much as I can.

Bitcoin!!
After enduring a bear market for two years, witnessing the recent surge in cryptocurrency prices feels like spotting bubbles in the sky. It's a refreshing change, and I must admit, it's quite unexpected.

Earlier this year, while discussing strategies with friends for the year ahead, we anticipated joining the market trend post-halving, typically when the bull run gains momentum. However, the rapid surge in prices, particularly of cryptocurrencies like BTC and ETH, caught us off guard. Consequently, we're exploring alternative avenues.

Despite the market's volatility, numerous promising projects have surfaced recently. After thorough analysis, many of these projects exhibit significant potential and are already listed on top exchanges. Tokens such as $MANTA, $ALT, GPT, and $PIXEL have particularly captured my attention.

It's crucial to acknowledge the presence of numerous rug-pull projects amid this influx of new ventures. Despite this risk, I remain optimistic about identifying solid investment opportunities.

Given the impending bull run, I'm interested in learning about the strategies others are employing to select tokens for investment.

I believe before now, we have been crying out to all investors to adopt Bitcoin, even when the market was in a sideways movement, and latter entered the bear run after the ETF approval. However the price of Bitcoin is still not too high for you to start to accumulate beside you're not in a competition to accumulate, so fo what your strength can carry without affecting much of your other financial activities. You could use the DCA method to accumulate.

For investing in altcoins, I don't usually give directive towards investing in a particular altcoin. I believe the decision should come from yourself so that, you'll be responsible for the out comes of your investment. There are several shitcoins out there including those that were listed in exchanges. First they may seem promising and after a while they'll just retire to their original nature. So when making your choice you should be careful and conduct proper research before buying any coin for holding.

You have a good coin and potential. But honestly I'm not sure about the Manta and Pixel. I see they have a small circulating supply compared to the maximum supply. This means that if they release coins that have not been supplied into the supply circulation of course it will affect the price and will cause a correction. I identify coins that will have a bull run by looking at what narratives are being hyped at the moment. And I think currently the AI and Defi narratives are the 2 most popular and that will affect the price of coins that have a relationship with those two narratives.

There are certain token categories that I intentionally consider while stalking my bags with assets for the Bull. AI tokens, Gamefi, L2 and others. I get to follow different cex listing updates like that of Bitget which comes more frequently before some of these tokens begin to trend. I sometimes check to see tokens funded by other big exchanges like Binance or on their launchpad. Weeks back, Pixels had the crypto world’s attention and helped build some serious momentum around Ronin too. It generated more than $1 billion worth of trading in less than a single day when I checked and that's great. there are other ones like Portal that came with a level of hype I haven’t seen in the crypto gaming space in some time. The airdrop farming push is helping investors as you'll see users flood Twitter with tweets and campaigns.

Those that didn't peaked yet and never had an all time high. Despite that there were many launching prices that were quite high, that doesn't mean it's already its peak. That's how I have picked some of my altcoins and looking forward to wait for the time that it will start pumping. There is a chance for it to reach ATH for this cycle but if not, it is okay as long as I am able to make money out of it. I don't get attached with many of these altcoins during this bull run and I have to sell them whenever I can for me to max out the profitability that I am seeing with them. I have failed many times doing this so I hope that this time it will work for me.
I am also a user that is very much skeptical when it comes to altcoins investment. I am always fearful and I don't know why. If I buy BTC and for instance it goes -20%, I will still be fine and smiling. But when I buy an altcoin and it goes -10%, I'll start jittering.
Talking about new coins that haven't seen bull run before, it is a good idea and people have said about that. But knowing the previous ATH of a coin gives the idea of what to expect and exceed on the coming bull run.
Yeah, you know right the feeling is different when we're okay losing some paper value of Bitcoin for some moment because we know it will recover.
But it's a different thing if it's about some altcoins because that value losing it by that time, we don't know if it's going to be back as soon as possible.

Identifying the potential coin isn't easy and would vary for each individual. For me, I choose most of the time from the top altcoins. Though a few meme coins were doing very well, I wasn't interested in meme coins, hence I failed to catch the rally. So still, I am interested in top coins like Ethereum, ARB, and LTC. Even though these coins aren't pump-dump coins, they have potential growth. I am currently holding a couple of altcoins from the top. I believe these coins would grow significantly during the bull market.

Your analysis is cool but may not subscribe to your  choice of Binance cos they are more inclined to top cap projects. They listed pepe when we have already made more than 10x . You also omitted Bitget and Gate from your list of exchanges which makes me wanna know why cos those two exchanges are not just top tier exchanges but have been very good at listing good projects early.

I remember ORDI and TIA debuted on Bitget before other exchanges saw the potential.

You are not far from the obvious but in most cases timing could be helpful particularly if there are platforms that are good in not just identifying good projects but get them listed at the right. These scenario could be a bit rare hence hence TA but keeping a close tab with Gate or Bitget could put someone in a good entry price position considering their listing speed in this industry.

Just imagine buying either of Manta or Pixel before the spike and take your profits to watch how the rest story unfolds.

The cryptocurrency market in this time took everyone unaware because everyone was predicting the BullRun after the halving and this time around the BullRun came before the halving and this also show that the market is unpredictable and the bear or the bull can occur at anytime of the years. Ethereum is also moving with bitcoin and has hit $3+k. For the first time when I knew Ethereum it was 2,000$ and apart from these two major coins any other coins just assisting the population of the cryptocurrency market though there are coins that are doing well.

There is still 38% remaining to climbed the All Time High so if anyone is ready to invest then he can still make profit from the 38%. Therefore it is not yet late.

if it's listed on a big exchange like binance then it's time to ride the waves. we all have different strategies from what we have learned in the past. you may not be comfortable with the strategy that works for someone.

some of us are just sticking to the top altcoins. i mostly added them all in the tradingview and watch which ones have been down for several days without price movement. buy a bag if i think it's about to go. sometimes i just keep them for good until bull run is over.

Speaking of big exchanges, aren't there many communities on this forum platform that say shitcoins can't be listed on well-known exchanges like Binance? Like Pepe Coin last year, there are many people who say that this Pepe Coin is a shitcoin, yet it is listed on the top exchanges, whether it is Dex or CEX.

This means that those who said shit about Pepe coins are liars because Pepe coins have been listed or included in the well-known exchange platforms in the crypto space. Am I correct?

Absolutely correct, I don't know if Binance has listed pepe yet but they list so many memecoin not even up to pepe mcap. For me I think memecoin are going to be the biggest gainer of this bullrun. We have seen already that pepe has done 5× in the last 10 days. FLOKI, DOGE, SHIB and many shitcoins have also experienced exponential increase while many top altcoins are still where they are. For me my bag is 60% memecoin and 40% altcoins coz that's where the money is flowing into. Lots of top CEX are also organizing several events for trading memecoin. Saw Bitget is giving 50k BGB in the top trending promotion event in the meme zone of the exchange.

if you identify pepe to have potential in this bull run then you already know how to identify which coins that will likely be rising along with BTC in the bull run. the more you pick though means you need more investment funds to grab some bag for those tokens.

you could just buy anyting as long as its among the top 20 in CMC but i'm sure you are going to look for a specific project that will not make you wait. the ones we were watching so far are just among the top 20 on CMC.

Any coin that you more often see in crypto-related platforms is one of the kind that will give you huge one-time profit. For example meme coins can be good to have in your portfolio while entering the bull market cause its expected to grow unrealistic as well as it can dump as well but as long as the money you invested is less and can afford to lose then its worth taking that risk.

Those who have been in the crypto market for a long time must have selected some coins in front of the bull market through which they can reach their destination. I am no exception. I have tried to keep some other altcoins in my portfolio along with Bitcoin and am constantly trying to increase it. I keep some solna small amount of Ether and some meme tokens in my portfolio. So far I have got a good return from meme tokens and I hope to get some more payments here. But by constantly analyzing the market, I hope I will get a good return on my investment in the bull market.

Also check the exchanges they are trading under to see if they are tier 1, tier 2, or tier 3. This is because i rather go for coins listed on top exchanges like Binance, Kucoin, and Bybit.

Sifting through flashy websites and whitepapers only scratches the surface when researching crypto projects.  Sure, good branding and tier-1 exchange listings generate buzz, but they don't guarantee real-world utility or community backing.  You gotta dig deeper.  Look at the team backing the project, their track record, and the actual code (if you're able to), and see if there's a real community around it. That's where you find tokens primed for the long-haul, bull run or not.

The bull run will likely happen in the coming bitcoin halving, so it's really a good idea to get my initial deposits ready because I'm fully in for the buying of potential coins. The steady pump of these projects should be our concerns and there's a whole lot to deal with. When this finally happen, I don't mind hitting every solid projects due to my crypto research. In all project activities anticipated, ensure you make quite substantial amounts from the projects because we're not here to constantly lose money but steady milking from the system.

I have failed many times doing this so I hope that this time it will work for me.

if it's listed on a big exchange like binance then it's time to ride the waves. we all have different strategies from what we have learned in the past. you may not be comfortable with the strategy that works for someone.

some of us are just sticking to the top altcoins. i mostly added them all in the tradingview and watch which ones have been down for several days without price movement. buy a bag if i think it's about to go. sometimes i just keep them for good until bull run is over.

There are lots of strategies I use, and I'll try to share them, but please note this isn't financial advice.

1. I go to Twitter, search for top trending coins, and then head to CoinGecko or CMC to research the ones I find appealing before checking their socials for activities.

2. I look at announcements on exchanges that have an eye for quality listings, like Bitget. Their recent listings have had decent runs and provided good returns.

Doing these have enabled me have an edge in the market and maximized my profits..etc.

And I believe that when the market is in a bullish trend, everyone will want to have a diversified portfolio. And what is certain is that Bitcoin and Ethereum are safe choices in terms of investment, especially for the long term, and these two coins will always be a priority for investors when the market is bullish. And this is just the beginning because bullishness will actually occur after the halving occurs, so apart from these two coins you also have to choose the right altcoin that has the potential to be profitable when bullish.

But when the market is bullish usually people who want to earn big returns will look for altcoins and will not trade Bitcoin and Ethereum. I agree with you that people will diversify for fear of missing the moment. They will buy potential altcoins with low market capitalization in the hope of making big profits. I personally also use this method. And when the bullish season is almost over I will put all my profits in Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Yes I think you're right there could be numerous reasons for that. First of all Investors for testing their project release a limited number of coins in the market and after seeing the results they change the strategies if the one before were not good.

The second reason which seems to be appealing is that they want to catch the attention of investors by releasing a small amount of coins and once the investors starts to show interest then they'll release the remaining supply as per the strategies. The project owners always keep a safe site for their project so that they can avoid the loss or at least they could end in a break even situation. No body wants a loss so everyone works with a different strategy.

And I think you have good altcoins like MANTA and PIXEL as well as two other altcoins that I don't know about. However, in my opinion, MANTA and PIXEL have good potential, especially now that PIXEL is becoming a trend and I think there are many big players in it who will increase their prices, especially in bullish market conditions.

I can see that many of us are very interested in converting there fund into gikd projects they could hold that would give them quick profits without bothers, we need to be prepared and wait for the price of Bitcoin to keep going bull before we can earn from the market.
The price of Bitcoin is what controls the price of other coin too so we need to be seeing Bitcoin skyrocket before altcoins would start going bull. There are some few coins we could hold to make money in the market.

I'm quite busy to give much time to research these days. Though it's much easier to look for what you want thanks to AI.
My primary focus are on L1 and L2 ecosystem for sidechains. They (most) are the ones really being used as utility as they are consumed when you do the transactions on the network. The larger the activities, the higher the demand and hence price. They have been popular thing for quite a time now. With ETH, BNB, SOL, ADA and at the moment AVAX in top 10, it's not difficult to guess which coins are having greater success.
I look for new and promising L1/L2 and buy them cheap and hold to sell at better price.

I'm interested in learning about the strategies others are employing to select tokens for investment.

The most important thing for me is the use-case, if a project has anto-mainstream use-case, it will attract public attention to them. After reviewing the use cases, then I go to the internal side such as the team behind the project. When that is all done, I go to the market side such as where they have been listed, how much total MC and TVL (if a DeFi project) the project has, the smaller it is, the greater the potential for big profits that we might be able to get.

To be honest, I'm just buying coins that were tested over time. ETH, ADA, and SOL, for example. I'm not into new stuff, it's too risky for me.

It's a good thing if you've a lot of money, because it will maintain its value, especially if you diversify the altcoins you invest in. But for people who don't have much money, looking for potential projects is the best way to elevate their financial side.

It should has some activity. It shouldn’t be a coin which is totally forgotten. Like namecoin or feathercoin for example. Does anyone remember those? No.

Litecoin on the other hand has a good user adoption and it has been falling against btc for a long time. Recently though it is actually beating btc price-wise.

Dogecoin is the same, no even better because it has a better brand recognition. It is up by ~20% against btc in the last 24 hours. These coins are rocking hard now.

As we anticipate growth in most crypto assets during this bull run, in my opinion, it is better to stick to older more established coins like BTC, ETH, BNB, Solana, etc. that have better chances of appreciating in value/little chances of sudden dump. It is important to note that while some projects will aim to achieve maximum genuine growth during  this bull run, other ones may be gearing up to scam users. However, you may decide to hold those you cherish most ($MANTA, $ALT, GPT, and $PIXEL) but I suggest not to put much of your investment in them. As in all investments, do your research before you commit your hard earned money. At the moment, my experience indicates high rate of scam projects in the crypto space.

I don't take loans, ask for sig if I ever do.
I'd just generally buy any of the topcoins if I want ones that would be affected by the bullrun. If you were asking about the newer ones though I haven't even heard of the ones you've said about and looking up Manta, seems like a coin that was released last January only. For these types of coins, I'd rather have a wait-and-see attitude before doing anything since I've been a victim of a lot of coins just crashing down after their initial rise.

Ofc if it was for the short term then I've bought and profited from a couple, but I do those rarely since I don't have the time to check out every new coin that is released each day. Airdrops are welcome as well.

If you ask me about any specific domain it will be easy to discuss here about the best projects to invest like what should we keep in mind while looking for good projects well anyways in my honest opinion the projects i personally believe that may pump in the coming future are social media projects, gamming projects, layer 2 projects these projects have good potential. These projects will make a good hype in the coming bull run.

Besides all that I would advise you to have a look at these domain projects if you fell these are good projects and you feel good about investing in these projects you can invest at your own risk and also keep in mind to do your own research before investing in any of my mentioned projects. Your money your risk that is why I am saying always take action at your own conclusions after research. Many Thanks!

My technique is quite simple be early. Nothing beats those early on some projects that are able to buy or do things to gain more tokens. Well airdropping or trading is both same principle once you are on the early bird then you really will ripped off profits in the end later on cause chances that those are gonna pump or rise is quite high. The verdict there is its risky and unsure at first.

I don't know why you chose $MANTA, $ALT, $GPT, and $PIXEL and honestly I just heard about it. I believe you already know him, see his potential and analyze him deeply. I hope you don't just look at people's opinions on social media, because their predictions could be wrong or a cheat.

But in my opinion, investing in new coins is very risky because we don't know whether they will be able to survive after this bull run or not. The coins you mentioned also have low dayly trading volume.  I only see potential in $MANTA, but this may continue to change over time.

About strategy, I prefer investing in 3-10 coins on Coinmarketcap.  I choose small risks in investing.  For the short term, I also choose other coins, but I continue to monitor their price movements.  follow their social media, so you know what the developers are planning to increase the potential of the coins you hold in.  If you don't find the attention from developers and support from peoples, it's better to release the coins you hold. All the best.

I am following the narratives. If you can find out which narrative is going to get most attention and will let people make a lot of money you will be able to identify the potential coin. When a narrative is trending in the industry, every project under that narrative does better because most retail investors keep circulating their money from one project to another in the same category until all of them rally upward. In this season AI, DePin, GameFi narratives is trending because of their wide adoption and utilities.

Mostly I focus on the parts where there are solid projects like the following
  • On chain activity
  • Volume of traading
  • How mainstream it is
  • Where it's listed

I think with the last part, it's important to know that they are serious and a part of the possible growing coins in the market.

There is no defined way I mean the strategy differs from person to person but the coins which you have listed are one of those coins which we need to closely monitor as these are recently added coins in the Binance so it will have upper edge compared to other coins launched during the same period and also there are lot of Altcoin projects which were launched in last two years but couldn't capitalize the market so I would suggest closely monitor the market and see which coin is on upward trend. But now it's bit tricky situation because most of the altcoin pumps are getting converted into dump shortly hence need to wait for some more time or go for the potential coins as per your analysis now itself in case if it hasn't pump.

Just to remind you no one can predict accurately hence DYOR and follow the market trend.

As much as I'd like to agree, I beg to differ. The token dumps that came with unlocking VC tokens were a bearish signal in the bear market. In the current bull market, having an upcoming unlock is enough fundamentals to prop up the price in order for VCs to get out at a good price. For example:

  • SUI - traded around $0.3-$0 5  but when an upcoming VC unlock was announced that would increase the circulating supply, the price has risen at over 200% and the current market price is $1.7. The current marketcap is even higher at $2B, it was < $500m in September 2023.
  • SEI: Same story as Sui above but this one was from a price of $0.08 to around $0.8. That's about a 10x or more.

Injective protocol, and many others. These days, if an upcoming unlock is announced, I'm buying because I'm sure that VCs want price to be higher every single time and they can very much do so in a bull run using the herd mentality.
