That's a good idea and choice though. But try to look for some more or if you can avail that and you really want to try, do the purchase for us and give us a feed back about the product. I think that you'd get to share how it goes is going to be helpful for people like you that are looking for a safe storage that's water resistant for everyone's hardware wallet. Mine is just kept on the safe box, the orig box of the manufacturer and I am also thinking of buying something like that so, if you can do the favor for us, please.

I just use stainless steel seed phrase storage and save it in a safe box, I really don't need to invest that much into such thing as time capsule because I think stainless steel already reliable enough.
there are plenty of people who also just write down their seed phrase in a paper and they seem to be doing fine.

after all I will always make sure to have redundancy, basically having second and third seedphrase storage.
Storing and securing our crypto these days do come with good responsibility and it's not classified as complex task. We just have to be to ambitious and name the important things to put in place. People anticipate and do what it takes to ensure they're having a good run in the space. It might not reach the very ultimate target but there's every tendency for expansion. Seed phrases are discrete and it provides more crucial information for the stationed structures. Securing our crypto wallets these days does come with full-time job. We have everything within our exploring reach to ensure there's highly capacity to make good runs for our investment in crypto.

I wouldn't trust anything from temu being water resistant too long, or actually being the material they are saying it is. If their shops have cheaper alternative to do use in manufacturing, they will cut corners and use that option so they can bring the cheapest product. And it's not like those shops would be liable for lost crypto if your stainless steel has rusted trough in the future. They are shady as they come.

Imho putting trust in a site that's famous for bad quality doesn't combine well with quality security needs. But that's just me. I store mine in software wallets and sometimes trusted cex:es.

That's what I've thought. The price of the capsule was too good to be true. Quality-wise, it could be a waste of money. I might as well stick with titanium-based seed cards for safekeeping. If I'm not mistaken, the material itself withstands corrosion and it's highly-resistant against fire. I'd choose anything that would help future-proof my investment.

Like I've said, it will be something that can be passed on to generations. Buying and holding BTC long-term, can be a great way to build generational wealth. Assuming it keeps rising all the way to the moon. Would you imagine BTC going to $1m+ someday? Even altcoins can reach new ATHs in the future. Just make sure your private keys and/or seeds are safe from prying eyes, and there should be nothing to worry about. Cheesy

The title speaks for itself. Only asking out of curiosity. I've saw a stainless steel "Time Capsule" on TEMU that's completely waterproof. Thinking of buying one just to place a few paper wallets and a metal seed wallet inside for safekeeping. It will be buried underground for future generations to enjoy. Do you think this is a good choice? What's yours?

Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley

Well, I don't think I can answer that correctly, but when it comes to the safety and security of your wallets, maybe it could be a good idea to remove them from everywhere and then keep making deposits in them to be kept for the future. Don't even think about it for a few decades and see how much their value would be after that.

I'm not yet planning anything like that because I will first need to accumulate enough for myself and my future, and then I will think about future generations. If life lets me, I should have enough time to prepare for them, considering I can get a grip on life and earn enough money before my bones get old and rusty. So there is plenty of time for me, hopefully.

I would say that the capsule can be suitable even for short-term safety measures.

I have also seen a storage method where the user set up a secret storage in his wall that uses a remote to access it, which only the owner and the constructor could be able to locate that something like that exists in that place.

A hidden safe wouldn't be a bad idea for me as long as it can't be located by anyone, and since I have my private computer at home, I can go as far as after I have written the phrase on a piece of paper to laminate it to make sure that it can't be damaged by hard weather or even water before putting it inside the safe.
