Hmm, I think I'm using the word decentralized in the wrong place. Thanks for pointing that out for me.
And no, I wasn't meaning a shop that sells phones for BTC.
I mean how can I acquire an international phone number so I can sign up for crypto services outside the US?
Think about it like using a VPN so I can access websites I normally wouldn't be able to.
The person who showed me crypto was using this like messaging service that replaced his TEXT message app on their phone, that's what it is.
To be able to use an international number so they could sign up for services such as YouHodler for example, which U.S. based customers cannot use.
Anything out there that a law-abiding citizen can use to acquire an international phone number in an easy way? Best if it's related to bitcoin, or bitcoin themed of course.
EDIT: I have updated the title of the thread from "Are there any decentralized cell-phone services for us bitcoiners?" to "What's the best service a bitcoiner can use to get an international number?"
<3
Have you updated the title? Cause it looks to still be the old title. I think you updated it in your reply instead of the topic itself. Anyway, if this is what you mean, then that means you should be talking about decentralized cellphone. When you said it, what came to mind was like a cellphone that can’t be tracked maybe because you aren’t connected by the usual service provider.
For what you speak of, there are many platforms that lets you create phone numbers of different countries. I don’t know any because I haven’t used it before but then, they definitely exist.
