If facebook uses blockchain...idk how it will work at all.. Except they are using it as a payment method. But still, Facebook is centralized as hell and they are earning hell lot of money, maybe now joining cryptocurrency to maximize their profit?

I also viewed a successful project weeks ago, their platform integrates social media sites in a payment system. Fast and reliable! I think it can be done also 100% if there is negotiation between facebook and ICO I've saw.

Where did you see this im really interested on that bit. Would mine sharing more on that bit?

i think its about making it self validatable and auditable for his facebook credit system between his payment gate way and all his partners in the games industry(like zynga) and advertisers(like google)

As of now, that is the possible thing that facebook might get in cryptocurrency. The payment with the games and all tokens that the user will buy in order for their character in a game becomes powerful and higher level than other.

So you think Ripple can't exist? It does. It's a centralized entity, business, that provides a solution to decentralize the flow of cross-border transactions.

The only thing that limits your thinking is your will to think!

Ripple? hahahaha that was fun! I dont think that ripple is the next best thing to be honest and if it is the only reason of existance is to be on a major exchange (Which i doubt according to rumors  it didnt got into coinbase YET.) so we can exchange altcoins.

Anyway, i agree with you to  a certain extend and i can probably forsea the future of cryptos getting highly regulated and we gonna end up with a depply centralized and look-a-like decentralized currency(s) in our wallets.

One thing is for sure, either its going to be blockchain or hashgraph or whatever, this technology came to stay and its going to stay for SOOOO LONG!

How can crypto help Mark Zuckerberg to fix Facebook?

You want us to do Mark's work for him? What if you're Mark Zuckerberg, you made this bold claim and then realized you don't have any new ideas?!?!

The uses of blockchain are limited only by our imagination to dream up ideas to apply it.

Well i dont think that a deeply centralized concept could ever exist side by side with a decentralized concept. if that happens then we will forget what we ever read and learn abou information technology. anonimity privacy and decentralization are terms far from regulation and such concepts.

simply to not have to employ auditors and security guards and able to pay his partners in a way they can verify funds easily and cheaply.

yes even in a closed system just the auditing/verifying element of blockchain tech can save on staffing costs.
after all mining pools dont need to employ accountants to verify tx balances. its all handled by code

Facebook’s ratings have suffered a hit of late. The “Russia Scandal” has seen widespread criticism of the safety and security of the social media platform. This has been recently demonstrated on CB Insights' Twitter
A poll showed that 59% of people predict that Facebook will be seen as a net negative for society in a decade’s time. This is compared with only 4% for Google, for example. A move to put Facebook on the blockchain could see a level of trust restored, with the underlying technology for cryptocurrencies having received so much attention in 2017: Facebook Going On The Blockchain? - Zuckerberg Facebook Post Hints at Blockchain Adoption by the Social Media Giant

The right question is how quickly a blockchain implementation can move Facebook back into the dark closet where it's close cousins lie.

Myspace.
Friendster.

Exactly what i was thinking when i said the beninning of an end. Mark zuk goes all the time "give power to the people" but his also far from that.

I kinda picture a decentralized social media ecosystem that will defo give the power to the people and thats defo not Face(shit)book

" Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced Thursday he plans to study cryptocurrencies and other decentralizing technologies as part of a larger bid to improve the social networking service he co-founded."

How can crypto help Mark Zuckerberg to fix Facebook?

We can argue about Proof of Work versus Proof of Stake (POW vs POS).

But nothing can help Piece of Shit Facebook.

The right question is how quickly a blockchain implementation can move Facebook back into the dark closet where it's close cousins lie.
