Someone else told me the amps are different and will mess up the cards... was that bogus? I'm clueless.

That adapter doesn't work for these sockets.

Use the IDE/SATA ports, hook up the regular everyday molex connectors, then get an adapter like this one. You can probably find that adapter cheaper, but it's dead common and shouldn't be a problem to lay your hands on.

I have the OCZ 1250w PSU (there's only 1 so it shouldn't be hard to look up) and there are no molex connectors.
