Check:

- Whitepaper
- Roadmap
- Problems they are trying to solve
- If all above are possible...

-Dev Team
-Social Sentiment
-Tokens utility(!)

Here is a good list of ICOs to start:

Good luck!
This is the information I am interested in. Thanks for your sharing.

There are lot of icos at the market and most of them are spams so how to choose good profitable ico to buy

Read the white paper.
See the team behind the idea. (are they to young? What have they done before it? This will separate scams from real projects
Are these people real or they just get the time to create a nice web page?
The company is located in a real place or they just have a website .io with no responsability at all
See if the project have a future or use in the world outside cryptos.
If they do not reach the hard cap, will refound the money to the investors and how they are going to do it

This are the thing ypu shoul consider
Hope was helpfuly

For the veterans in ICO here, what is to look  or check for a good whitepaper in every ICO?

This is a good question and you'll get different answers from others here.

For me the whitepaper isn't as important as the other commentary included on the site. I have a background in business so the general ideas that are mentioned as part of the marketing and branding often give me a good idea of what may or may not be possible.

The whitepaper will also usually have an explanation of what the token will be used for, how does it facilitate the exchange of information between two parties and what that information is. If they don't offer such an explanation - run away as fast as possible. If they do, think about it and if you still have questions start a thread on the forum or PM me.

Cheers, HabbyB

I'm not really newbie in cryptocurrency but then I mostly base in TA and FA when buying/trading.  With  ICO I'm absolutely newbie and I'm confuse with whitepaper since from some ICO I check there's actually no technical details but only what they think the future of the project and what it can do in the community. It's like some sort of term paper but much simple term and details or I'm looking at wrong project and ICO?

I see a good ico is looking at the road map-team-project they are oriented to.And a small part from the community support

Do research like a real investor. Otherwise you are just a gambler.
If we're going to respond, let's offer some real help. If you can only respond with "do research" you don't have anything to add to the thread.
He asked a simple question, "how do I choose?". The simplicity of the question led me to believe that he was looking for a simple answer, so I gave him a simple answer.

He asked a simple question and you mocked him for it. It's not helpful to say "do research"...it's dismissive.

I could have responded that investing in an ICO is a complex and time consuming process that requires evaluation of the goals, the potential returns, the risks, the plans, the technology, the market, the competition, and the people.

This would have been a great response, why didn't you offer it up?

I could also have gone into some detail about how I might evaluate all of those aspects, but it seemed to me that the OP just wanted a simple answer instead.

You could have gone into some detail, but you didn't and if you call your post "a simple answer" you've just put yourself in the category of "shit spamming" posters that most of us despise here.

If you don't have something meaningful to say, don't contribute to the noise.

The one answer that will be repeated multiple times is also the most logical one: Lots and lots of research.
This is sage advice, but is it wrong if this forum member seeks the forum community comment as part of that research process?

I always choose ICO base on what are there goals. What is the purpose of the ICO they created. If the ICO is useful on somewhat. And i see that there partners is good too. This would be sure that i will get a profit. When i am going to be practical. I am waiting for the time that they reach the of there cap. So that i would get sure that my money will not go to the trash.

That is true, but what will the real help be? Participate in helping the OP with every research on all current ICO's?
I get what you are trying to say, don't get me wrong, I absolutely agree that giving useful advice is better then just wasting 'forum space', but besides stating the obvious and telling the main key aspects to look at, there is not that more much you can do. If you want to get more information about a particular coin/token/ico, you will need to check that whitepaper, community, project and all that and there is not that much more you can help with.

The simple difference between your post and mine (and possibly even odolvlodo's post), is context and beauty of the explanation. But the mere facts of the posts are absolutely one and the same.

Research the project.
Read the whitepaper.
Do a background check on the team members.
Check their community (Their own community, Reddit, ... )

And as far as the 'profitable' part goes, this is all tied together with the previous mentioned points mostly.

Also, you are advertising an ICO. Why not buy that one?

Here's a guide that may be useful: https://www.tradingheroes.com/best-cryptocurrency-to-invest-in/

You should take anyone's opinion, from response to this thread or from a strategy guide blog, with strong consideration for your own personal tolerance for risk, reward, and knowledge of business value.

As I'm sure you know, each ICO has a whitepaper that explains their business model and the structure of their token creation and distribution. Far too many companies (or prospective ICO creators) focus most or all of their energy on token creation and distribution and not their business model. It's the business model that drives success.

As you are reviewing cryptocurrencies as target for your investment, consider the following:
  • Will the token support a business model that will provide utility value to a community of people that exist outside the cryptocurrency investment world?
  • Is this community global, large enough to support growing and sustained demand for the business service/idea?
  • Is the token component (i.e, the thing you are buying) necessary to make the business model work?

If you answer "yes!" to all of these questions, this is a cryptocurrency that should make your target investment list.

Finally, the time of your investment, post ICO, once an exchange as initiated support for the token is the best time to invest. You won't be the first one in, but you'll have waiting for much of the risk to subside which gives you greater ability to reap reward. A higher purchase price, post ICO, is a better price when considering the amount of risk you are taking on pre-ICO with a questionable business model.
