According to this site, the file bitcoin-0.1.3.rar was released only 4 days after bitcoin-0.1.0.rar and has the same filesize.
According to this sourceforge page, both files also have the same md5sum, which is a bit surprising, because the included readme contains the version number "BitCoin v0.1.3 ALPHA". It seems, the 0.1.0 rar was retroactively replaced with the 0.1.3 rar (brown-paper-bag bug?)
You can probably consider this the original release for all practical purposes.

The current source directory has been trunked and the old code prior to August has been removed. I want the original rar, dated January 2009.

I think the first release might have been 0.1.5, which is on the Sourceforge download page.
