Nice try scammer... obvious scam is obvious... #reported... AGAIN

Seriously... asking people to type their mnemonic seed into a website??!? That's sooooo 2017... FAIL! Roll Eyes  And it's not even an HTTPS website either! Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE! YOU WILL LOSE COINS!

I noticed lot of new accounts posts link like that to claim a bitcoin fork etc.  What i want to know is if someone does click on the link but does not install the program or does install it but does not put their electrum seed, are they at risk or not?

I've seen malware encoded in http addresses, or downloaded in java code after going to a site. Would this happen in this case? Remember the answer depends on OS, browser, many factors. Examining such links is best only done with a virtual machine, such as the virtual box system.

I tried to claim my SBTC using different wallets and tools, also found offers for 5-10% fee. Did it without hassle or fee with https ://www.SCAMexcryptsSCAM.org/
DO NOT TRUST THIS WALLET

This wallet is only being linked to by brand new accounts... The website has no source code, no FAQ, no support, no About etc... The only reference I've been able to find was a listing on "BadBitcoin" (www.badbitcoin.org) labelling it as a scam.

Potential Scam rating: HIGH

just privete key or seed?
if seed - that is problem. Electrum has 13 words seed al other use 12 words seed.
Electrum seed has only 12 words. Are you sure you did not write one more by mistake? Try to recheck your seed by going to "Wallet" -> "Seed".

it depends on the version of Electrum that was used to generate this seed. for example if it is an old wallet from 1.9.8 for example even if you upgrade your wallet to 3+ your seed is still the same and back then it was 13 words.

If the fork already happened, it doesn't matter if you move your Bitcoins or not. The forked coins will stay there.

this is true about almost all forks but it depends on the fork and its rules so it can not be true for all.
some of these forks have weird rules for example there was one saying coins has to be used in the past X blocks otherwise it was part of the premine! and nothing is stopping a fork to spend your coins on their chain after X amount of time. a fork is enabling new rules after all!

Hello People, just use the online free claiming tool at http://superbtcwallet.org it tells you the exact amount of SBTC you'll own.

Regards!
Yes, regards to you too. I figured there'd be a shady newbie with a link third or fourth post down from the initial bait.  You're right on time!

Hopefully nobody clicks your link and nobody loses their bitcoin by falling for your con game.

The short answer would appear to be that you CAN'T get this "Super" Shitcoin... they don't appear to have any network that I can see... no code... no mining... NOTHING... seems a lot like Bitcoin Diamond.

A fancy website, a few social media accounts... some half arsed "roadmap"... and no real substance. Roll Eyes

I think a message to ThomasV letthing him know these guys are claiming "support" from Electrum is in order.

THX alote. That is clever. But
1) If I move all BTC from old Electrum wallet to somewhere else
2) by using seed or private-key will open my public key in any SBTC wallet
3) will step 1 fluence on getting SBTC or not? The screenshot was done 12.12.17. At that time I used to have BTC on my electrum wallet... Is that enought?

Why electrum as supporter on SBTC web page if u are singe cripto wallet. ?)
No idea. Probably to give them a fake legitimacy. Electrum will probably never support a differentt Bitcoin (especially these shitcoins).

TryNinja,

You would need to import your private-keys in a software that supports SBTC. You can probably find them in the SBTC website.

Also, it's recommended that you move all your Bitcoins to a new wallet before importing it in a unknown and not reliable software. Otherwise, if the software is malicious, you could end up losing your original Bitcoins and the fork coins.

IMO, grabbing a few shitcoins is not worth the risk of installing a wallet from an unknown dev. Never be too greedy. Otherwise, you will end up losing your coins in the process of claiming one of the 50 fork shitcoins that should be released in the future.
