i Use a HP Envy with a Navida GeForce and Intel core i7, how do i use this to mine ETH?

if you want to mine eth with that laptop, you really need a external gpu Smiley

you can use any thunderbolt 3 ports on your laptop to connect extarnal gpu's easy

OR

without any thunderbolt 3 ports. What you need is ,  remove the wifi mini card from your laptop, and plug a mPcie to Pcie adapter to the mPcie port .
you going to need a externap computer PSU , the adapter card and some work Wink
if you want to do more than 1 extarnal vga card , you can try to use any pcie splitter there is no guarantee those splitters going to work and support all 3-4 slots , but you have a good chance to run 2 cards with those splitter / mPcie to Pcie adapter combination . You have to make sure your external psu can handle the load Smiley

Send your mom over to my house.  She can mine with my laptop all day long, if she works out a trade with me for the electricity.  LOL.  WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?  You still have a lot of research to do!

Unless you are using the laptop to control USB miners, where the actual WORK of mining is not being done by the laptop, VERY VERY BAD IDEA.

Laptops are NOT designed for high-power usage 24/7 like mining imposes on a machine, you probably WILL kill the laptop fairly quickly if you try to mine on it.

This is also probably the 50'th time AT LEAST this question has been asked since I first started visiting this forum.

Only the 50th?  You've been here much longer than I have and I feel like I've seen this question 50 times.

Must have been a typo, I am pretty sure I meant to type 500th.

Spare you laptop from instant burning/death, use it for something else, probably trading!

People should stop asking some basic questions and start reading before asking.

Laptop mining is not profitable at all, it takes ages to reach the profit with that yield, by the time you see the yield your laptop may die already!

Instead of mining using your PC build a RIG and mine the coin you are willing to, there are n number of tutorials you can start with.

Sure, you can try it if you want. I tried it before in someday, but just for fun, not for profit.

You can mine with your laptop however you would risk damaging it. Because you will be stressing it for hours if not for 24/7 which is not advisable for laptops. If you would want to mine I would suggest for you to buy a mining rig you can start mining for around $500 to $600 USD with at least one GTX 1050ti or a GTX 1060 3gb just to get your self accustomed to mining. If you make profit then upgrade you mining setup.

Yes you can!
But get ready to choose for a replacement.
Don't worry, you can buy a cheaper laptop with the profit from your mining after burning it.

P.S.
The 1st reply said it all.

Please spare your laptop from this! You are gonna burn it without any real reason.
If you really wanna mine, build yourself a GPU rig or buy an ASIC Smiley
