I don't know of any trading guides, but you could consider subscribing to s3052's price forecasting service: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcoin-forecast-bitcoin-speculation-bitcoin-technical-analysis-up-or-down-1493. Even if you choose not to follow his advice, by subscribing you'll know what everyone else is going to do, which is pretty valuable information.

Mtgox has a checkbox for buy at market rate. Uncheck that and you can place orders at any price you like.

Thanks for the tip. Is there any sort of guide or things I should know when trading Bitcoin for profit?

I've been looking through some parts of the forum, such as the Economics section (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=7.0), and I would like to know how to trade Bitcoin like a pro.

I can't figure out how to place an order on Mt Gox that's higher / lower than the market rate, so I'm a complete newbie. Any advice would be helpful, thanks.
