You can make a suggestion in any other board besides this one because as a newbie, the first thing you do is make sure you read any posts that is being made on the board and understand them so that you can even add your suggestions to make it very interesting to whoever posts it because some of your suggestions can make you have a merit for rank up from newbie to another level so my friend you are welcome to board and feel free to bring your better ideas to enlighten us with other things.

I thank everyone for good suggestions, and i want to use this opportunity to say this place is wide environment and before somebody will master bitcointalk, it take above 3 months and it most be consistently reading and researching for the way forward of the forum. Since i created this thread i have not make any other post because i took my time to read in between the lines of different boards to enable me to understand the things i have to know concerning Bitcoin and forum rules and regulations. I remain grateful to everyone who make suggestions.
you did well. I'm sure anyone who is a beginner who wants to read more, will have better insight. read as much as you can. but if you think this is too broad you can focus more on a few boards first that interest you.
if you are more in the mood for Bitcoin, read more. avoid other boards like altcoins first. if you are more interested in mining, you can visit it. and focus there first to gather more information.
I can't help you, but hopefully, your consistency to read more information on the forum will make you understand more quickly how the Bitcointalk forum is.
he tries to understand first the rules of the forum, this is a good step so he can progress quickly in the forum. and it can prevent him from making fatal mistakes when in the forum.
he was also quite active in asking questions on this board, the more information he got, the better it would be for his speed of development.
OP, I hope you can be more comfortable and happy in the forum. maybe it will take more time to get better. but now you are in the process. good luck.

Also, I'm a newbie, I'm trying to know more and more about this number 1 forum like Bitcointalk. If you want to know more about it. Simply follow the link: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.7955645

You are welcome to the forum, it’s such a pleasant and educative forum to find oneself in terms of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies related topics and discussions. I will advise that you familiarise yourself with the topics and discussions here, look through on how the responses tallies with the questions and threads so that it would give you a better understanding on how to analyse your own answers too and avoiding repetitive answers. Also ensure that you ain’t copying and pasting from someone else’s post to yours. With time you will get to understand better how things work here as well.

This forum is a simple place for Bitcoin-related discussions; there is no set time for a newbie to respond to or join any discussion going on in the forum.

Everyone is free to participate in a conversation in this forum if they have a good idea to add or a different point of view on the current topic.

However, avoid meaningless discussions, also known as spam posts, because the moderators here will delete the thread or the posts if you engage in them.
Always have a quality post or idea to contribute to the forum, and you will be rewarded accordingly.

It's no big deal over here and you shouldn't have to feel left out if you don't make any post but it is more preferable you do more of reading than posting and that will help you make meaningful an quality post when replying to a comment.
In the other hand, you should know that everyone is free to say anything at anytime and since you're a newbie you're more at advantage because everything you so except plagiarism will be seen as a learning stage and wouldn't be penalized so easily.
Ask questions and comment when there is need to do so.

You simply respond to conversations(or threads) if you think you actually have something decent to contribute, and if what you want to say hasn't been said already. It's that simple.
As long as you know the topic and you have something significant to add, you’re safe. Just don’t spam or make low quality post, so you won’t be a target from being temporarily or permanently banned. Otherwise, if you think you don’t have something valuable to share to the forum, obtain knowledge first, and learn from those veterans in the forum.

I myself am also like you, it's hard to make a good post and according to the topic. because I also haven't mastered this forum yet, but if we are willing to study and read diligently I think it will make it easier for us to discuss in this forum.

Basically reading is an activity that takes a long time, because our goal is not to be smart but broad-minded. the more we know the easier it is for us to make good conversations with other members.

Op you just reply to thread that you are very much familiar or understand very well. If I am not mistaking, I also asked a similar question in my newbie's days. And the answers were good and I follow up the answers. What you have to do is to read and understand what you have read and make comments. That is what I have to say for now. Other people have given you a piece of advice so follow up.

I know that I am a bit late about giving pointers about this one but to know a good conversation is when you nade a research about the topic in the conversation that it is still on point or on track then newbies will know that it's worth joining in the conversation. As many people have known that some people join the conversation at the start then later on they will start to discuss different topic that may or may not related to the topic itself. I cab say that better start at learning and reading then newbies will be an expert at what they choose to do.

Take this forum to be a social place where you and your friends meet to gist about whatever, imagine when a discussion is brought up and you know what they are talking about, you can contribute positively and from your contributions, you friends can learn from you too. In the other hand if a topic is raised by your friends that you don't have an idea about, you will listen to learn and sometimes if confused you will ask them questions, that is how this forum is,here you read to learn and ask questions to know. Don't contribute on discussion that you don't have a clue about, better off make research on google to understand the topic. Navigate through the different boards to see your interest and don't stuck yourself only on Beginners and help.

Spend time with learn-read-write, The first thing to do is to notice those who provide solutions and remember how to help others solve problems, Next you should try your best, member the posts of those who have given solutions and help others. Finally when you have member the rough, try to help others. My advice is that if you take the time to learn then you will know what is wrong and what is right.

I think if you observe the above points you will understand which is the right track.

You can start straight in, if you see a conversation and wants to be a part of it then just express your opinions too in the way you want.

But all you need to keep in mind is Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ and never violate any of those rules listed so you won't get banned. And when others feel the reply you made is contributing to this forum in someway they pours merits too. Smiley

The question you asked is wise so that other newbies can also learn. As a newbie you need to read extensively to understand the boards that fits the topic you want to discuss. So there are different boards and if you post your topic wrongly in another board then the moderator will move it into appropriate board for you. Don't be surprised if your post is moved from the board you posted in to another board, it is just for the reason I stated earlier meaning you posted in wrong board.

My advice is, you spend some time in this forum to follow the replies and posts of other members. Because it is very important to see how other members continue their conversation. I spent a lot of time learning about this forum when I was a newbie. But you can follow some active members of this forum whose posts and replying styles you can follow, so you can get good results and start conversations quickly.

You should know when to respond or join a conversation if you have thoughts about what's being discussed OR you are curious about the topic that made you want to raise some questions.
And correct, this board is generally for those who seek help (topics related to the board). Furthermore, you may want to visit every board and read the pinned messages, that'll help you a lot as that serves as your head start here.
Enjoy yourself and welcome to the forum Wink

Absolutely mate but as a newbie it's better to not do any action yet but perhaps it's better to read an understand what is this forum all about and read the pinned post above to know the rules and regulations, here in our forum. And reads and joining topics is very good to start as we all know that if we engage to the topic we must know the root or the main purpose of the topic. And the best thing is do not break the rules.

I also don't know much about this forum but I have been participating here for quite a while as a newbie and have looked around everywhere. How to discuss in this forum if you want to take ideas like mine for quite some time. Of course I've been poking around all over the boards for a few days and at this point I'm getting a bit of an understanding of this forum. Of course you can and will learn about everything if you spend time on the forum you will understand everything. This forum is friendly so everyone here will help each other.
I'm a little surprised when you say you've been participating here for quite a while as a beginner. Do you think January 04, 2023 to January 12, 2023 is quite a long time?
Because for me it is not long enough to study and see everything that is in this forum. A week or so will not be enough time to see everything here unless you are not doing anything else in your life by just looking at the forums and reading whatever is here. And if you think that's been a long time since you've been here, I think I should clap my forehead now. Grin

how can a new newbie know when it right in conversation with people questions.

Do you mean a question that needs an absolute (mathematical) answer, then just look at the next reply. If it's a bit inaccurate, someone will argue with a more correct one. As for questions that only need advice or opinions, you only need to take a few that are suitable for you.

Is it also possible for someone to know when it is responsible to answer question of people correctly.

You can discuss in any place you feel like to discuss provided that you exactly what you are discussing for,  if you know an answer to a question you can as well provide the answer, so everyone is liable to discuss in any board

Forgot to add in my previous reply that there are a couple of boards which have restrictions, where newbie cannot post.

For the serious discussion board; you need to be at least a Jr member with one merit,
For Ivory tower child board, you need to be at least full member.
Investigations child board also has restrictions for low ranked members.

Yes, all boards are good for discussions and everyone can join. No rank limit to post and reply on most boards except on the Important Announcements but still, you can read what's posted there.

Is it also possible for someone to know when it is responsible to answer question of people correctly.
As long as you know what you're saying and it's related to the topic/thread and that's how you determine if you'll answer correctly. Other than that, everyone is free to join discussions for any topic that they want as long as you don't say Off topic things because someone will report it and then the mod will have it deleted.

There isn’t a newbie prison. You can post anywhere you want. If you read the Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules the number 1 rule is “1. No zero or low value, pointless or uninteresting posts or threads.” This means you have to make meaningful comments on a topic and if you don’t have knowledge on a subject being discussed you should just read and scroll past. Trying so hard to sound smart or look good may cause you to plagiarize.

You're free to respond to other member's comments, provided you're going to flow with their stream of thoughts. Don't let the ranks of members intimidate you into believing you aren't qualified to respond to them. First thing is to understand what's being discussed before you make your contributions. Otherwise, you will be making spam or shit posts but thinking you're saying something reasonable.

Beginners & Help is a good place for beginners as it helps them get their questions easily answered by more experienced members. It's a kind of congregation for newbies but it doesn't mean newbies can't post or start threads anywhere else. Threads are placed in sections that befit the questions asked in the OP or its content. Of course, threads are also moved to the relevant board if they aren't placed in the right board or section in the first place.

Hey OP, I'm also a newbie here, and as a newbie to this forum I'd advise you to read the threads that have been pinned on this beginner & help board:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.16958010

In that thread there is a lot of basic information that you can get as a newbie to this forum.
So that you can better understand what and how this forum works.

In this forum you are free to discuss according to your interests, but this forum also has several rules that must be obeyed by forum users, here are the threads:

Before you join any conversation or discussion, you should decide yourself that is that conversation or discussion relevant to you (your knowledge, experience and ability to make interesting idea).

Is it interesting for you? If you feel that topic (conversation, discussion) is non sense, it does not worth your time to join it, so let's skip it.

If it is interesting for you, you must read the opening post (OP) and follow flow of discussion in that topic, from first post to later posts, at least in first one or two pages. If you see questions were answered in first two pages, no need to repeat what others discussed. Of course if you want to be helped by others to clarify some idea, you can join and ask.

Sine this is a forum, you are free to suggest or have an opinion and give correct information to others post, even if it contradict to OP post, for example they said that bitcoin is not a digital currency(this is just an example) so your respond is its a crypto currency, then explain it to them in a proper way where it will not offend or, make a person looks bad, it means your educating the OP, everyone could make mistake so its okay, so its only right to correct and help them in the right path, always approach them in a proper way, that's how I respond to post.

It's quite natural to want to partake in a conversation as a newbie because there's always the excitement of wanting to drop your two cents. But what's most important about the forum is to first understand how it works, and since no one is setting a limit for you meet up a certain post count, you try to make your responses as intelligent and on point as possible just as the others have advised.

Naturally before responding to a comments or post, you should know what they are talking of and get the right directions of the conversation. This particular thread are basically for newbies and you are entitled to asked whatever you feels to ask and also create any topic you seems has not been created but should be something meaningful and before doing that, you should use the search button to know if someone already created such topic.

Is this the first forum you have registered with? If not, why are you asking? All forums are intended for communication and discussion of common interests. If you purposefully decided to learn about bitcoin, to study all its subtleties, you should not worry about such trifles that excite you. Take a walk around the forum, decide what you are interested in, or maybe not clear, and feel free to write. Don't think of a forum as a place with very strict rules and an unfriendly community. On the contrary, by communicating here, you will find out how open, and ready to help your people will be glad to have your presence.
Just be yourself, don't play the role of someone you are not.

You are indeed new, and with prospects of growing substantially before the year runs out, but only if you carefully navigate the sections, read to understand before making an input in a conversation to avoid deleted post, adhere to the rules governing the boards and its members and most importantly create good topics with reference links where possible.
Everyone here started like you, but remained consistent with daily contributions. The learning experience is massive, so you also have to know what kind of knowledge you aim to acquire here. Mind you, this is more of a crypto currency based platform, so if this is where you wanted to be, you will surely gain a lot and earn too along the way as you gain experience.

Don't think about it too much, otherwise you will always find excuses not to say anything. It's like any group conversation. Join a group that discusses something you are interested in and chip in whenever you have something good to say. Still, you need knowledge and experience before you can start giving out advice and make corrections to the mistakes you notice.

There has got to be a reason that brought you to Bitcointalk. Think about what that is and what you want to achieve with your time here.
Tell us what you are interested in and why you joined the forum, but do it honestly and without saying what you think others might want to hear.

You registered yesterday, that doesn't count as a few days and it's not time enough to have become acquainted with how the forum works. Keep reading across the various boards focusing on stickie threads (those are threads that are pinned to the top of each board) and with time you will begin to learn how it works.

Improving your use of English can also be helpful to entering discussions and understanding what others are discussing. You can also check for a local board to join to help you communicate better with your community. You can find them from scrolling down at the home page.

Yes you can, if your suggestion is relevant to that board.
Each board has a slight description under it which tells what sort of posts should be made there.

How to know if newbie are ready to respond? I think its when he can understand the topic all about and knew the details to contribute about. Ive seen a lot of newbies who can response nicely, means there are many people serious on posting here. I think its really depend on someone seriousness to contribute and share. The more you learn the more you will understand more about this forum and the more you will see something good to contribute and how to contribute it.

You are a newbie, but you can check other boards too and see if you are able to contribute importantly there as well. All the boards you are able to post is because newbies are not restricted to contribute their too. You can post in almost all boards and you can learn from all boards.

Because you are newbie on this forum might not also mean that you are a newbie to all boards on this forum.
