BTW, I'm glad I stopped by in this thread, for even though it wasn't mentioned, I somehow noticed something I've never noticed before. If you look below the date of the post and see dots, i.e. ................................................., the post was edited. Simply place your cursor over the date, and you'll see the last time it was edited.
With all due respect, I mentioned it a few posts above.

Apologies for missing it, albeit I did read the entire thread prior to posting. My bad!

My other bad was not including a roasted goat dinner to theymos with my now $30K offer.  Grin

Now, back to the beginning of this post. Theymos, if I gave you $10,000, would you let me have access to the deleted and edited posts for only an hour? If not, how about $20K USD?

No.

I thought I would ask the question here rather than it getting lost in the other thread, theymos posted:

.....
The change is that all edits are now logged, whereas previously they were only sometimes recorded in DB backups.
.....

Does this mean that admin and mods can now see the original version of a post after it is edited? I think previously only deleted posts (and not edited posts) could be viewed without going to the backups.

I'll tell you what! Give me one hour... just one hour perusing said logs, and I'll walk away a rich man. A very rich man!

How long is the grace period?
5 minutes from what I know. It might be longer now since edits are being logged.

It used to say "last edited......." near the bottom, but I don't see that now.
How can we currently tell if a post (made by someone else) has been edited?
