Seems like you only see the forum with those activities because of getting paid through the signature campaign, some of the members here are OG member who sees the potential of the forum related to the cryptocurrency world, and some of them contributes a lot of things just to benefit of everyone most likely to the newbies who would like to join, when I'm start here I don't have knowledge too buy upon visiting other threads and topics I learn from their experiences which benefits to me right now.

Just as uou believed that we have individuals difference the same way we have different opinions and engagements we got attached to that keeps us busy, been active does not means when your time always read online from your profile but whennyour presence is felt with a quality substance others benefits from, we are all here on different purpose but we must make sure that we don't get distracted from fulfilling them and and to also learn in helping others fulfilling there's while on the forum, be active and let your activeness be felt.

I signed up in 2014 but wasn't very active, mostly spending my time lurking. I became active again in 2017 and became an active member of the forum. Apart from the signature campaigns others have already mentioned, which are a huge bonus in my household, I usually find lurking on the forums soothing and relaxing. Just lurking around threads, reading replies without necessarily replying to any of them. I don't know why, but it just calms my nerves after a long day of work; it clears my mind. How can I explain it? In total, I've spent over 40 days being active here; that's over 960 hours, and I'm guessing older members have spent 10x what I have.

Spending a lot of time here is not a big deal because some people spend their time on social media for hours on end, but others spend a lot of time in forums because they want to learn more about crypto. Therefore, spending a lot of time here is not a big deal because in order to fully understand crypto, trading, and other related topics, you need to know a lot before engaging in such activities, and if you look at the people who always engage in such activities, they are the ones who spend the most.

Before I knew this forum, I was very active on facebook typing long articles about contemporary topics, especially politics.
My facebook liked it such that hunger for my contents. But when I was introduced to this place and I go good knowledge of bitcoin and fortunately I joined signature when I got to full member rank and started recieving some Sats.
It was then I became scarce on facebook and I stopped writing those long articles and my online followers started complaining.

That is how I understood that financial motivation via signature campaign is one of the reasons for serious participation here.

Hey all,

Although I have been interested and in and out of this forum for a about year now, it is only recently that I decided to get serious and learn and perhaps chat here to get more real insights from people with more experience and knowledge.

But one thing I noticed is that many people spend hours upon hours here, like really long hours, which made me think, like how come?

Do you guys make a living commenting and being here or are you really that passionate about web3/ crypto and blockchain?

Visiting the forum becomes a daily routine to me for years and I took break very limited time when I stuck with something personal or outage of network a couple of times due to natural calamities.

Web3 isn't my thing to be honest whereas I am so obsessed with crypto in the beginning but for now only with bitcoin cause I understand shitcoin will bring you the loss sooner or later but it will. Few made very big profits even with shitcoins but I am not forcing into that category cause whenever I did things sre just against me and only loss hitting me.

I  am curious where you find this fact and know that people are spending hos to hours here commenting in this forum. Probably they are like being in the other forums in which they may sometimes be online here and then offline and then online again. So, it seems that they are always online here. Additionally, we can find so much information here in this forum which will be good for our understanding and information addition for us. We can also have some certain discussions and share here by still having our privacy about who we are in the real world.

Additionally, some people are here also for working, so we may earn money from here. So we also focus on this forum in order to optimize getting the incomes. But, this may not be easy because we also know that we have many competitors here. But I am sure that many people spend their time here also because of the earnings that they may get from any campaigns.

OP, I m not sure how you would define making a  living but if you say people make a decent amount to the able to afford a few basic needs then I would agree and this is still dependent on which side of the world you are in. Secondly, Bitcoin talk forum is like an encyclopedia of Bitcoin. You'll hardly find anything on bitcoin that is not discussed here. And one of the best ways to broaden your knowledge about Bitcoin is to spend time here.

Spending time here is the best thing for me at the moment. rather than having to carry out activities that are not feasible out there, this Forum is better and will provide income in a decent amount according to my ability. We all here certainly have the same goal to earn a few dollars from every comment we make, it's not hypocritical to admit all of that because it will be worth a few contributions. and this Forum is the right place to add knowledge about crypto and some other knowledge, this forum is a complete package that will not be found anywhere.

It depends on each individual because everyone in this forum has different reasons why they feel at home here, some are even willing to spend hours, but if I'm personally honest I spend time here because I want to add insight and deepen my knowledge about cryptocurrencies along with the technology, as for another reason because i am using a paid signature campaign so i have to be prepared to contribute to this forum and make posts with the amount specified in the rules of the signature campaign that i use.

I guess all these years you were in and out you spent hours upon hours on other social Media maybe because of the kind of contents and information you were/are interested in. That is the same thing that is applicable here. The fact is, people spend their time on things that interest them and are beneficial to them

The forum is not like every random social media out there, here you comment to learn and when you learn it is easier to earn and safe gaurd your earnings against vulnerability and mind you it takes passion to be consistent in any thing.

Besides being presumably passionate about web3/crypto and blockchain, anyone who loves to read meaningful conversations and learn will see the forum provides insights into financial studies and theories.
Other than what most social media platforms offers, spending time on this platform is as much a criterion for gaining the best from here.

The reason why you take crypto seriously and learn could be the reason for that or different. There aee different reasons why they stay on the forum and you can read some replies here that others have announcement threads in this forum where others are learning and more. I suggest you don't think too much about it as they do what they want to do and do what you want to do. You could say that this is like Facebook, twitter where people posted and learn though most of the topics are all about cryptocurrency.

This depends on each person's goals of using the forum. Almost most of those who are here on a daily basis are users running their business here on the forum or participating in campaigns run by projects active on the forum. There is also a category of visitors who visit the forum with the utmost knowledge and participation in open discussions to share opinions and experiences with others.
This forum has gained its reputation as the largest crypto social platform founded by Satoshi himself. Then, Bounty campaigns contributed to increasing its popularity and attracting a larger number of users looking for additional income from crypto.
Personally, I am addicted to the forum, and even when I am not participating in any campaign, I visit the forum daily to see updates in the crypto world and the latest news of the projects that I follow.

Just responding through the subject title, in the forum, it's made of information of cryptocurrency and mostly Bitcoin and anyone who have bitcoin at mind and ready to know more concerning Bitcoin will be very inquisitive to be here because unpayable knowledge of cryptocurrency that's been passed here without any fees. From my observation, many people get informed of trading here, and many people who doesn't know bitcoin is able to give a cogent explanation of Bitcoin due to the forum.

Many people get paid for posting. It's not a lot of money, but for some of us it may be the reason to come back and keep being active each week but that's not the only thing that's going on here. For many weeks I've been without a signature, not getting paid, and I kept posting anyway. I'm sure that the forum would get less posts every month if there was no paid signatures, but the number of new users and people who spend time here would remain similar.

I feel like most of us are here out of habit and habits are hard to drop, especially when they aren't unhealthy but something that we take pleasure in.

Don't make a mistake thinking that people who post here a few times during the day are here all the time.

I often read the forum and then go to do something else and come back after a few hours, write a post or two and I'm out to do something else. Coming here twice a day to see what's up can't really go into spending days here. It's true that I'm here almost every day but if we were to count the time I spend reading and writing it's maybe an hour each day, sometimes even less.

Being here every day doesn't mean spending days here and I like to check the forum while I'm listening to music or having a drink. Then I'm off to do my chores.

Here is no different from Twitter, Medium or any other social media platform.
I am here to learn about web3, crypto and blockchain. I am here to learn from others, to get ideas and stay informed.
Commenting to get paid is just the icing on the cake or one of the pecks of the forum.
getting the knowledge up front and being serious about what you want to learn is an example of a good user. Not just wanting to get paid so setting aside knowledge which is certainly more important. Monetizing forums is a bonus, as you would say like the icing on the cake that gives pleasure. This forum can be used as a place to learn crypto and others and can also be used as a place to make money (optional).

The reasons why people mostly spend a lot of hours on there is because this platform is a life transforming platform, and I am a living testimony too, if not of bitcoin life would have been something else to me, because I have had a bad transactions with my bank that has made me lost the sum of $20,000 I personally shut down my bank account when this happened to me, so I decided to use bitcoin for the rest of my life, because bitcoin is trusted.

If you are really interested in something you will want to spend time with it, is that not so? You will not even know you are spending that much time if you are enjoying it. That is the same thing that happens when people spend hours upon hours chatting here also. By spending more hours here you are going to be learning from the experiences and knowledge of other more exposed members.

Do you guys make a living commenting and being here or are you really that passionate about web3/ crypto and blockchain?

Be passionate but not to serious enough which you take all of things including negativities since at the end of the day instead enjoying here you will get disappointed on how some people will treat you here.

I only spend some minutes reading all the information's I want to read and after that I quite then start to have a life outside of this forum. But  its still your choice if you want to stay for long hours here since maybe you want to familiarized how people deal with each other and how the transactions goes in this forum.

Bitcointalk is a platform that makes it easy for its users to participate, share and learn something that is not yet known due to the large amount of latest information that is updated here. The positive impact of Bitcointalk is that it makes it easier for us to interact with many people, broaden our association, distance and time are no longer a problem, it's easier to express ourselves. Here we can meet many friends from various countries, read comments from each user and share connections with each other via PM.

Apart from making money from the abilities that each individual has, there is a lot of technical knowledge that can be used as additional knowledge. Spending time on Bitcointalk doesn't mean wasting time, every day there are lots of people discussing here about something that makes sense instead of spending time on social media that don't provide benefits to improve life.

Well am also new to the forum and as i earlier stated in previous post that someone actually directed me here and for what? To get more insight about bitcoin which is currently a trending topic in my area. And about people spending long time in the forum, menh you will be surprised to know how many hours i normally spend on the internet and facebook, instagram e.t.c and what for? just to entertain myself and browse about stuff that wont add any benefits to me. So seeing people spending long time in the forum here is not a suprise to me at all. Since i got here i know i have learnt alot and am starting to understand more about crypto and in ways it can be beneficial to me so i think its better for me to spend some time somewhere i know i will gain atleast knowledge of how bitcoin would make a positive impact to my life than spending it elsewhere

People spend time on things they find fulfilment and that satisfies their interest. Knowledge they say ends only in the grave, and for lovers of knowledge if it meant spending just time (1hr, 2hrs or a few more) to getting it then it wouldn't be a big deal spending the hours. In today's world many people spend their quality time on things and events that is unworthy of their time.

If people can spend hours just sitting down or standing to a musical concert from their favourite musician performing, then am convinced it's worth it spending hours and hours on the forum that is more like a crypto-library to many users like myself.

It’s a great different world here but yet everyone should be careful and responsible

Let me ask you a question, what is the reason on why most people spend majority of their hours on social media? You can definitely alike this forum to the former- lots of people read and spend their time here because this is the biggest repository of cryptocurrency information and news.

Personally and as someone who lives in a third-world country, participating in campaign signatures can definitely help and support in alleviating the expenses. Since our economy is developing, the proceeds that I gain from campaign signatures help me weekly for my day-to-day transactions and purchases.

Yes instead of wasting my data on celebraties, and chatting meaningless discussions on social media, I prefer to come here and learn more how to improve my knowledge on bitcoin investment and also in the process I am also getting cash to spend. So I like to spend my day here than worthless social media. To answer your question. All of the above and either or.

Let me tell you my experience about the forum, I registered in the forum since 2018, but I remained inactive for about two years in the forum because I did not realize the importance of the forum in acquiring knowledge and livelihood as well.

During two years I was not active in the forum but I did not leave Crypto, I was looking to earn some profits by trying many things that I thought were profitable but failed to achieve anything.

Finally I decided to return to the forum and found that it is the best way to gain knowledge and make a living at the same time. The forum provides you with everything you need to gain knowledge in crypto and subsequently make a living through the many ways on the forum.

Therefore, it is not surprising that you find many members spend most of their time here, both to gain more knowledge and others to search for an opportunity to earn.

If you're a cryptocurrency enthusiast and investor, I believe this is the finest place to learn about Bitcoin/altcoin and Blockchain in general.

Most individuals spend a significant amount of time watching television, listening to the radio, and even conversing on social media. Everyone has a hobby that they enjoy doing in their spare time. I've recently discovered that I enjoy this forum. I can spend hours reading different people's posts and learning new things. This forum's purpose is to educate people about cryptocurrencies and Blockchain technology.

Why not the forum is dynamic anything and everything about Cryptocurrency are all here, and people spend hours here because of their interest just like what people are doing on social media like Facebook and Twitter it's all about interest, if you're into Cryptocurrency as an investor or hobby or just curious on what it is and why it takes the world by storm this is the forum to be with, you can ask anything related about Cryptocurrency and you will have a different answer and those answers will make you think which is right and which is accurate.

As far as I can tell, this is one of the better forums for Bitcoin discussion. There are a couple of good subreddits and Bitcoin Twitter is great but for the most part, there are only a few places where I can find truly intelligent and educated minds making quality contributions to the Bitcoin space.

I couldn't care less about "web3 and crypto" but there's only one real Blockchain and that is the Bitcoin Blockchain sometimes called the Timechain.

Bitcoin will change the world. "Crypto" is just another scam to get money from unsuspecting noobs who are chasing fiat gains.

Keep your eyes on the prize. Bitcoin and Bitcoin ONLY.

Have you ever thought that people can just like to communicate here in a circle of people who have common interests and topics for conversation? It seems to me that this is already a kind of hobby for many. Again, on this forum you can always learn a lot of interesting and new things, which in one way or another encourages you to look here more often. It is difficult to give a generalized answer, and I think, to one degree or another, each user has his own motives for being here.

I like all of your answers, and learning is what brought me here, but among the things that now starting to irritate me is the fact that some of the people here talk the talk, right? write all the good shit, and carry the signature that is the absolute opposite of what they are writing.

Personally, I am here because I believe in the crypto future like genuinely, thinking blockchain as a technology has so much to offer, and it's due to only a few people that it's got a bad reputation. But it is going in the relatively right direction and there are a few real daos /dapps, and other decentralized projects that make us believe in the decentralized world, but if this forum is to be such a holistic and pure crypto aficionado community, then it has to be that, not a place where people comment because they need their signature to be seen by as many people as possible and do their best to bust people or some other ways to gain merit.

Other than what is been said above, which are all correct. I'd say that, considering the different races of people in this forum, I've learnt different writing tones and words than any book can offer. Reading from different authors everyday helps my vocabulary and increases my knowledge of people around the world. Many countries have representatives in this forum; members. People's writing tones differs from country to country, those in the Uk write differently from those in America. So, if you are here to learn, you'll have to spend lots of time just like in school. Instead of wasting it on FB or IG watching pictures that won't add any meaning to your frontal lobe. But the forum helps positive thoughts which develops the brain to make excellent decisions while learning in different ways; world Politics, gambling, tech etc.

If a person really want to learn, they will not waste time , they will spend more time on things that they want, and that is to be active in the forum, but I doubt that its a long hours since there is a certain limit on posting and interacting with other members, they may be spend more time reading post here in the forum, everyone has its purpose in what they are doing, and we can't just judge them, for those who spend their more time in the forum I think they had achieved a lot of things, kudos to those who never give up and just focus in their goals, Merry Christmas.,

You also need to think about the people who spend hours on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, You Tube or other social media. A person's adrenaline will grow when he is in a place he likes, people who spend time on forums are not only limited to reading comments, but a lot of knowledge and information is shared here every day. For that reason we spend more time here than just watching useless videos shared on social media.

Do you guys make a living commenting and being here or are you really that passionate about web3/ crypto and blockchain?
I can say that not all users who join here make a living by commenting here, JayJuanGee is one of them. You can see the history of posts he makes each day, but he is not currently advertising any Campaigns.

a little information about me, I have a business buying and selling women's accessories online, so I am often in front of my PC and while opening my PC, I also post on this forum and without realizing it I do it for hours while also taking care of my household.

Do you guys make a living commenting and being here or are you really that passionate about web3/ crypto and blockchain?

Of course I'm passionate about crypto and blockchain technology but also I earn and expect side income from this forum, and to be honest it really helps me and my little family. I admit I am very lucky to know this forum and make money from it.

There are various reasons why some people spend a long time on this forum and it is best that everyone speaks for themselves.
In my case, the reason is the habit of following news from this forum and personal relationships and friendships with individual forum members.
Of course, today we have a lot of crypto groups on social networks and crypto Telegram groups, but for me this forum is the most important place to discuss crypto and socialize because I have been on it for almost 10 years.

Bitcoin is a subject that I personally find very interesting. It is a revolutionary idea; it continues to develop and evolve in intriguing ways. The technology is young, but it is well on its way towards widespread adoption. So, if you are interested in joining a community of people who care about money, Bitcoin, and the future of currency, this forum is where you will find them. It is no wonder that so many people point newbies here for advice, because there really is no better resource available. I am not advocating that you should drop whatever it is you're doing and get involved with Bitcoin, but I am saying that if you are interested in learning more about this technology, it is hard to find a better place than this forum.

Most that spend a lot of time here are making some money on the side. Whether that's enough to support them or not depends. However, I used to spend a lot of time here without getting paid, and in fact it's only in somewhat recent years I've actually been making a decent amount being here. That was never my goal, but rather something I've become appreciative that has happened.

I've probably spent the majority of my time here not actually earning anything, and instead discussing all kinds of things, and not always directly related to Bitcoin. I don't know about you or anyone else, but when I first discovered Bitcoin, and finally grasped why everyone was so excited about it; I couldn't stop reading about it.

I also like the history, and the potential of being part of that history intrigues me even more. We're basically watching something that's revolutionary in its idea. We've always had currencies as humans, but nothing so decentralised as Bitcoin. Even if you go back hundreds of years our concept of money has always been somewhat centralised.

There is a lot of learning here, so it very normal for people who like to learn to spend a lot of time in the Forum. There is hardly a day that I come online on the forum and don't find a discussion that is beneficial and adds to my knowledge, so in a bid to keep learning I spend more time on this forum than I do on other social media websites that are created mainly for entertainment.

How do you know that someone spend hours on this forum per day? The only information that's available for the public is the last time the user is active through their profile, there are some browsers that will keep you long in for hours that doesn't mean the users will be here all hours long.

Once you drop your ideas and contribution there is really not much going on the forum, it takes minutes only to engage in discussions so you focusing on how many hours people spend on here is wrong.

Prior to this forum, I was fascinated by another forum that covered a completely different subject. I also visited it regularly until, for unknown reasons, something happened, and I was unable to access it. But fortunately, I stumbled upon this forum, and for the first three months, I misjudged its existence, thinking that this was a forum for making money. But after sobering up from the fraudulent projects that created thousands of shitcoins, I dove into the study of bitcoin.
Now I have become addicted to reading the forum. I do not see this as a big problem, but on the contrary, I get great pleasure from it.
If I didn't think I could remember and figure out who was who by nicknames before, after reading the forum, I feel like I know everyone. Communication with smart people makes us better, which cannot be said about the stupid people on TikTok or other social networks, when people "go out of their skin" just to get coveted likes.

If you are into bitcoin or you love the bitcoin concept and you have passion to know more about it,then you will create time for yourself to learn in the forum. I registered first week of October this year after searching for bitcoin related websites in google. First I got it wrong and didn't think I will learn so much and chose not to be active. At some time,I made up my mind to take the cryptosystem serious so that I can secure my investment, I decided to always create time everyday to read at least two articles to broaden my knowledge, sometimes as a busy mother I come online at night when my kids are asleep. Like you have made up your mind to learn in the forum by asking this question to know how possible it is. This forum is an interesting community with a lot knowledge on bitcoin and the world, dedicate more of your time here and you will not regret it. Social media like Facebook are just waste of time to me.

When you are passionate about something, you develop a daily addiction to it. Due to the exposure and crypto expertise, I have learned through the btt community, that is what I am now involved with.

Most of us here, who have fallen in love with bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, can't go a day without breezing into this site to learn what's new with crypto and the forum in general.

Only this forum has captured my attention and transformed me into a better bitcoin enthusiast that values and loves bitcoin more than social media drama, fake news, or lifestyle.

@OP Not sure if there are people really do "make" a living in commenting in here, since no one knows nor does really care much on how other's spend their time in here, but regardless it's just like how you always do your daily hobby or other stuffs. Sometimes you do your hobby, sometimes you don't and you invest your time to something else.

It all depends on you, yeah...
You don't really have time for the forum doesn't mean every other person does that for some kinda pleasure or reasons you don't know... It is actually the case here yes; your inconsistency doesn't make that.
Yunno, as much as I do -- that if everyone else isn't giving in much time and attention in here as you don't, then this place would be some kinda quiet and boring site that people won't even find it interesting -- you won't either and I don't think paid signatures would offer any slots in here.... So the whole system begins to crumble the day everyone decides to stay off.

Bitcointalk is a forum dedicated to discussing Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. It is a popular online community for people interested in cryptocurrency, and it offers a wide range of discussion topics and resources for people to learn about and stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the cryptocurrency space.

There are several reasons why people might spend a lot of time on Bitcointalk. Some people may be actively involved in the development or use of cryptocurrency, and they may use the forum as a way to stay informed about new developments and collaborate with others in the community. Others may be interested in investing in cryptocurrency and may use the forum as a way to research and learn about different coins and projects. Some people may also simply be interested in the technology and culture of cryptocurrency and may enjoy participating in discussions and debates about various topics related to the space.

Ultimately, people spend time on Bitcointalk because it is a convenient and engaging way to connect with others who share their interests in cryptocurrency and to stay informed about the latest developments in the industry.

Maybe it’s because the ecosystem here is not polluted. Everyone loves some fresh air, bitcointalk gives just that. It’s very different from every other community you can find on the internet, and it begins to grow on you. If you want to learn something about cryptocurrency, this is best place for a newbie. I have seen some copycats using the same logo and UI as this forum but the quality of discussion is what separates the real from the wannabes. Bitcointalk isn’t perfect, many newbies can’t cope, mainly because they thought the forum was something else..the ones that did stay are far better than they were in the beginning.

This is something I have noticed here, even if you are involved in altcoins immediately you get into bitcointalk you will realise you have been in the wrong side of crypto currency. Many that can't cope have left.

Hey OP once you start engaging in the forum discussions will find here a home more trust worthy than social media

I just checked your profile and yeah you're more than a year in the forum. Judging from your activity count it shows you're not that interested in the forum else you'll know why people don't spend most of their time here and not on other social media platforms that promote nothing but immorality. The answer to your last question is yes, it is possible if you're interested to make a living here.

I believe it depends on each person's motivation for visiting the forum. Some people are constantly on hand to assist others in finding solutions to their difficulties, and many of them have also participated in signature campaigns, which is how they became addicted to the site. Again, a lot of people are always engaged in things here because they are not overly exposed to office and home activities. However, since I haven't had any opportunities to work elsewhere, I use this forum as my office and am constantly active here because I like how  the members are operating in the forum.

when you haven't followed the direction of the discussion on the forum. it will be seen how it is possible. people spend a lot of their time just reading and discussing.
it's like people who already like an activity. it gave him more time to work on it.

we can see forum members who have survived long enough. they don't spend all their time on forums. they will look active for some time. it's like logging into the forums at leisure.

Some user field of work is related to programming or online work which is why they can open and use the forum at the time with there job. Besides just leaving your forum account login on a separated tab is already counted as active hour. It’s impossible to make forum for for a leaving except if you are on chipmixer campaign and lives on country with low cost of leaving.

Have you considered the numbers of hours some people spend on the social media like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp and many others without having something tangible enough to learn or improve one's life with, all they post is a garbage of shits and trolls that makes no meaning to one's present condition, but the forum here is a community and not a place of chats and unserious posts refuse dump, the forum is organized and being professional with the target aim to engage all bitcoin users across the world on a platform whereby their encounter with bitcoin adoption will be at ease, there'll be education and enlightment about bitcoin discussions same here, where we also have varieties of boards and local where you can learn other things and grow which other social media groups doesn't.

I wasn't criticizing, I was merely curious, well, quite curious in fact, to see that there is a forum of such significance and I somehow stumbled on it. But people seem to be dedicating their lives to it. I am sure it would have been interesting for any one

I think there are still many forums that specialize in specific areas and are very active, so even though many claim that this way of communication is less and less attractive, for anyone interested in Bitcoin, this is still much more than an ordinary forum. I say that because this is where it all started, and this is actually where much of the history is found, which also includes all the posts from Satoshi in the early days.

I think that the expression "people seem to be dedicating their lives to it" sounds exaggerated, because I am sure that most of the members spend most of their time in some other places, doing some completely different ordinary things. Of course, there are always members who really spend a lot of time on the forum, but for some this is much more than a forum and that should be understood in some way.

I don't know why it's strange for someone when they see that someone spent hours, days or months on a forum, and it's not strange that people spend hours every day on social networks, watching TV or playing games. In the end, everyone chooses how to spend their time, why should it be someone else's concern.

Some are passionate about gambling, politics or the forum serves as a place where they offer their services or sell digital or physical products. Everyone has their own reasons and not everything is as it seems at first glance.

Bitcointalk can be addictive especially when you love everything bitcoin and crypto related discussions. I spend much of my time reading posts in various board though I don’t comment much because most times what I want to say has already been said or I really don’t have much technical knowledge on the subject but it is always interesting to read. It’s not a bad habit to have, I rather spend time on an educational platform than on a website where nobody is discussing anything reasonable and everyone is trying to force their opinions on others and

I've seen people spending just as much time on Facebook, without even being incentivized to do so. Or playing games (online or offline). Or on TV.
So it depends from person to person, really. Going out is no longer "the thing" it should be. And if staying in, why not here?

This forum (too) is a very interesting "world", and spending time and being part of the community doesn't look like wasted time.
Of course, getting incentivized to be here and post is an important part/factor. How important, again, depends from person to person and also probably on how big the incentive is (depending on the campaign) and how badly the person needs that money. I would also not underestimate the interest in the actual people in here (online friends made on the forum).

Do you guys make a living commenting and being here or are you really that passionate about web3/ crypto and blockchain?

In my case it's (also) both (the interest/passion about Bitcoin and the entire underlying technology and also the incentive) and, I'd say, even more than those two (ie the people).

Most likely as this is the only forum that, in my opinion, incentivizes knowledge or opinion!

But, for those who were truly interested in bitcoin, this provided a venue for quality discussion that no other platform can replicate. Plus, you can find a lot of entertaining dramas among the members here, including how other members defend themselves when they are caught off-guard breaking forum rules.

Now if you ask me, this forum actually serve as my go-to website to create a habit of learning bitcoin on a daily basis while being rewarded except when there are a lot of schoolworks  Grin

Maybe they really just want to? People spend hours and hours using social media everyday. Bitcointalk is slightly similar — it's just that 95% of conversations are concerning Bitcoin/crypto and not some celebrity gossip or something. Bitcoin/crypto is at least far more interesting in my opinion.
