I would say it is a nice addition in order to prevent fast posting. I have seen this feature in other forums before, but a flappy game, I must say it is a unique idea. Though I am really bad at playing this game, bitcointalk gives a chance to play that game again here.

Where you afraid when you first noticed the red flag?
To be honest, I was not fooled by Red Flag, So there is no question of fear here.  Because I was on the forum last April Fool's as well, last time I was fooled by the prank and I think that's why Red Flag can have an effect on me because of that experience. Although the captcha or the game seems interesting to me, But  I could not not score very good points while playing it, the game was difficult for my gaming skills on that.

Yeah I haven't played the game for a long time and sometimes it gets annoying when I post, and when I came across  to meta board  and I saw the bypass topic of tryninja, I immediately added it to my browser.  Roll Eyes

It was really nice effort by @theymos to prank members again on the day but for me personally I was spammer for few posts I made as have logged on my mobile phone and it was hard to control and bypass the levels.I had to collect 34 coins in which I was not able to do that but was happy forum members came up with lot of ways to bypass it and manipulate the code by @PowerGlove but overall nice efforts.

I understand how painful and annoying this seems to be while trying to solve the captcha game.
All of a sudden when I go to my account to post I see that there is something right above the post that wasn't there before. I didn't understand what happened in the bitcointalk forum. I tried to figure it out a lot and when I clicked on the captcha place, I saw the games I used to play as a kid come up. I didn't touch the screen then so the game was running on its own. But after a long time when I realized that this cannot be solved, the main game starts after I touch the screen. I still didn't quite understand what this game would be like. But when I post the game without completing the task, I see something written right above my post. When I took a closer look at the text, I found that my post was a spamming post. And I got worried. After doing some research on this matter, I realized that it is just a new rule. Later I edited my post and filled the captcha of games and then posted and after posting I saw that the previous text was gone. Then I realized that if I want to post from now on, I have to fill captcha like this.
Where you afraid when you first noticed the red flag?
First I was asked to collect 9 coins which was easy for me. And I was enjoying it. But later when I want to post I am asked to collect 30 coins. And I try that I can collect 30 coins but every time after collecting twenty to 27 coins I fail. And after trying so many times I didn't succeed. So without further ado I post as is. But later when I went to post again it asked me to collect 70 coins which was very impossible for me still I tried but failed every time and finally got fed up.  And then I decided not to post the way I used to post.

Though the April fool's captcha game was some kind of fun it was also another way to delaying me from making my post on time as I got carried away trying to make sure I wasn't doing so bad at it. As for permanence to it I find it unnecessary at this time but I still would love to see a more funnier and tricky one come next April.

Actually i didn't try Captcha because at first glance i found out that its just for fun. I clicked on post normally without solving captcha. I Joined some telegram group of Bitcointalk members. Some new members was asking there that theirs account has been flagged. I laughed  Grin a lot because same thing happen with me last year but this time i already prepared for this and was no issue at all .

I not aware if TryNinja hacked and didn't try to bypass captcha. later some local boards users say that Captcha solving is very interesting and everyone should try at least once buy i missed it

Where you afraid when you first noticed the red flag?
I was actually flummoxed but not scared so to say. I initially skipped the captcha the first time because I thought it could be something that might end up hacking my account if I solved it. When I later saw numerous users tagged "suspected spammer" same way as I was, after I had posted; I just posted my second straight away. I guess it was on the third post that I attempted solving the captcha and discovered it was a hard but to crack. Especially, when one was told one had over 50 coins to collect.

About the TryNinja hack? Nope, I never tried using it. I just let the fun be, knowing it would disappear the following day.

Where you afraid when you first noticed the red flag?

When I first logged into the forum that day, I saw theymos post that we needed to pass the captcha or our accounts would be banned. This was my first experience with this in the forum, so I was terrified and couldn't post anything. I saw many prominent users' posts being tagged as "scammer," but that wasn't enough to convince me; I thought they might have their own way of handling it, even though it shows on their post.

Not until later that day, when I saw a post by user ‘Huppercase,' in which he gave a recap of all April fool events in the forum by theymos, I did go through the links to see if they really tallied with April fool dates, which they did. This was the final straw for me, and I decided to keep posting in the forum that day.

I first noticed the flag on just one member's post around 12 a.m. my country time; by then, it was not up to 12 a.m. forum time. When I saw the flag, I rushed to view the user's profile to see if he had any red tags, but none. After reading through some posts in the forum, I went to bed. I woke up around 8 a.m., and almost every person in the forum had the red flag. It was when I tried posting that I discovered that one would get the red flag if they didn't pass the captcha.

But honestly, I was ready to exit the forum if my account got banned for not passing the captcha because I keep failing anytime I try the game. It was mind-blowing when I realized it was just an April Fool's prank.

For some reason, I think that yesterday will be discussed for a long time, since open topics are free to post. Grin

If you were absent yesterday, then you missed out because the prank was damn serious. With the help of TryNinja, I received 1000 merits yesterday from Satoshi, which disappeared from my profile this morning  Shocked Cool

Wow! You were not around, sorry for that, you missed out a lot. The April fool fun was interesting but at first it was scary when I discovered it from other users then I gained confident from it that it was not only me but also many reputable members in the forum so I continue to enjoy the fun with others. You missed only small, because the trend is still going on so you can part take on the discussion as you have stated. Welcome back from the holiday.

This is my first time of encountering April fool fun in the forum. When I first saw the red warning on my first post in the midnight, fear caught so I contacted some Senior Men to know my office to have the tag and there was no reply so I came back and the the post and when I saw that others are also tag, I came back edit the post and reapply again.

I think this message got everyone pranked though it wasn't that easy to pass the captcha process because it was very annoying trying over times but couldn't succeed to solved any, I tried my best to get used to it and I starting thinking of how to go with it, and I finally got the little style to collect my coins and still my coin collection still was increasing.
I don't wish this to happen again, it's a very bad experience though was fun sha.

The first time I encountered a captcha, I was unaware that it was April Fool's Day. It was annoying because I did not know how to play, but I eventually figured it out and succeeded. On the second try, I failed because I was asked to collect 84 coins, which would have taken me a year. Despite this, the experience was still interesting.

To be honest, I haven't played the captcha game myself, but I have seen some members here who have been tagged as likely spammers or have received spam warnings. I just realized that it's April 1st and Theymos would definitely do something for April Fool's Day on this forum. While it seems fun to play the game and post in the forums, I wouldn't want to do it forever as it would get boring after a few days. The simple way of posting is really good.

Like most people I largely ignored it. Primarily because it was April 1st, secondly because I knew the "spammer warning" wouldn't last until April 2nd. I did try playing the game but ultimately didn't have the patience to complete it, again like most people. Fair play to those who did complete it or create hacks/scripts in order to bypass it! That's certainy the dedication expected from certain members of this forum.

If you never do This user is a spammer why be afraid, every April joke is always synonymous with a sense of humor 24 hours, done.

For me this April joke is not passionate, sense of humor is not interesting, I have never managed to solve the Captcha, it's a chick that doesn't have wings to fly, 80% can't fly the chick, it always ends up landing on the ground.

To be honest, I was more interested and afraid of the April Joke a few years ago, April KYC, all the members here were tense, the funny thing is that someone did a kyc verification with a real/real identity, 24 hours, ended with April's stupid joke, funny but entertaining.

It was very hard.  I enjoyed it a lot but after spending a long time I was not able to remove the red tag from my post. I didn't use TryNinja's hack method because it was fun for 1 day so it was wise to enjoy it property without use any hack method.

I'll take the captcha cracker solution because I limit my time on forums. And the total login time should only reflect your time spent on really useful activities. On the other hand, imagine if your ability to play the game isn't as good as that of real spammers, then every new topic will definitely get spam replies on the first page.

When I came to this forum yesterday and saw this message: "This user is a suspected spammer", I was surprised for a moment, but then I realized that I would never receive such a message in such a way, but only in a private message from the admin.
Then I looked at the date and everything was clear to me immediately  Grin
I realized that once again theymos was inspired by All Fools' Day and I had a good laugh, especially when I read a post by a new member who just registered on the forum and was worried about that message  Grin

It was somehow annoying at the first place since I wasn't able to get any coin for about 20 to 30 minutes I got angry with everyone around me. I couldn't even concentrate to do anything else was like could this be the end of Bitcointalk forum I asked myself.
The more active the topic is the more coin it requires to post, low efforts topics required lesser coin like 5 or 10, while the rest required me to get about 87 coin to solved it and it was like a living hell to me.
The flag made me feels i am victim of spammers or about to get ban, less until I saw the pin messages at the top left hand side of the forum.

Where you afraid when you first noticed the red flag?

As far as the captcha thing goes, I wasn't in the mood for figuring out what Theymos was doing.  I only noticed that I could post normally without having to play Super Mario BCT, so that's what I did.  This year's fun & games could have been so much edgier given all that's happened since this time last year....but it wasn't.  Meh.
I had some kind of confusion in my head trying to understand what was happening. Since someone already made a thread a day before the 1st April, obviously it wasn't a surprise to me.
As I logged into my account, I started seeing the This user is a suspected spammer tag. I wasn't bothered because I knew it was about the joke. But when I wanted to make a post, I saw a pop up notification. I was shocked how ads have started running on bitcointalk like other websites. I figured out to reduce it and made my post without trying to complete the captcha. I didn't also know the game was because I felt it will be stressful to me since I visited the forum with mobile.

I was able to beat the game, but it took me a while to get the hang of it. It's definitely a nostalgic experience, like you said. Overall, I think it was a great April Fool's joke. It brought some fun and excitement to the forum, and I'm sure people will be talking about it for a while.

I played the game everytime I made a post. I didn't wanna have to wear the shame tag. It wasn't hard to beat the game but sometimes I found myself playing a level for 5-10 minutes because it was a break from the norm. Would I like the April fool's joke to be permanent? No, but it was ok for the day.
I tried to play for a while but couldn't get any points.  My bird died repeatedly. However, even after not playing the game, 5 points were reduced once through the post, but later it was seen that 40/50 points were increased.  If you post again after that, you will get 3/4 point reduction again. It was not possible to reduce the points to 0 in any way.  And I've seen reputable members get warnings as spam too. It was really fun.  And it was a pleasure to have Theymos organize it too. But last year's April Fool's Day was more realistic than this year. this time everyone can easily understand that it was April Fools.

I managed to bypass the captcha twice with scores to beat around 18 or 20+, and I really enjoyed the game, even though it took me about 10 minutes to find the sweet spot for the bird to fly. It's a nostalgic experience for me since the last time I played the game was when I was in junior high school Grin

Nah, the flappy bird captcha is fun enough when we only need to collect few coins, but when it's required more than 10+ coins it's really make me frustrated. Even sometime captcha during login is really suck, but now I'd rather to choose to pick fire hydrant and chimney pictures than playing flappy bird.

Most of the forum users knew something was coming from theymos. Last year The Sceptical Chymist was The Pharmacist, and I remember he wrote the first reply when theymos came up with the IQ score thing. Back then, I wouldn't say I liked how The Sceptical Chymist asked in which timezone theymos lived in because I didn't get the term he used. Last year, almost 75% of forum users were fooled because of the IQ score prank.

But if you compare it to this year. I won't say it was successful enough. People started creating threads on 30th March (Like seriously?) about the April fool. So, most forum members already know something is coming up. If you didn't get fooled, It's okay; let others. But, People are creating more and more topic and letting everyone knows, "Guys, it's April Fool, Guys, It's April Fools." WTF man? What is the point? Catching some merits? I would say we ruined it.

since every year is like this, the old members won't be surprised by what happened on April 1st. except for a newbie who just created an account and was surprised with a warning like a banned account.
maybe the admin should consider next year to make a surprise by not creating any threads beforehand.

but if the surprise this time is implemented by the admin, it feels like it's a waste of time. there will be more who use hacking methods to make things easier.
it will be very annoying when you want to make a post and have to complete a Captcha and when you finish it turns out that there is already a warning of 10 new posts before you.

No.  I might well have been had there not been at least one thread the other day spoiling what might have been a surprise--but alas, every year there's always at least one started up prior to April 1st dealing with what the joke might be.
