From a tech forum.
I was immediately interested in getting some, but the thread only discussed mining on linux and other technical aspects. So I didn't bother to get more details. BTC was still less then 10 USD back then.  Angry

Got in at around a 100 USD, so I still made a nice profit, and I'm mining on linux now.  Wink

Ah I would love to share the very beginning, back when I saw BTC at $8.00 in USD and thought to myself, "Why would I pay that?!" I came across it on a "Onion Encryption Net" However, that was years ago and just want to leave it at that; I really wish I had spent the money on some coins. My true story starts now after looking at a post by @AMDFX on Twitter and deciding enough is enough, "I want a piece of the action...I know stocks and FOREX, I can do this!" After that day it was LTC mining for two hours and then a trip to MicroCenter. Shortly after I discover WDC and Scharmbeck, and immediately brought my friend into the AltCoin world. However, I still hash away at BTC with my 1mhash/sec Rig...soon, soon with hopes that St. Nick will come, I'll grab a 290x from NewEgg!
