Some great projects don't make announcements here in the forum so tracking them down to get in early will require you to access this information from different sources, like icodrops, coinlist, cmc, or follow great crypto enthusiasts on Twitter, (these are ones I know) getting in a good project early is better if you are opportune to hear about it at the early stage, the return of investment if things go well for the project is massive.

Hi all,   i was wondering,   what are the top sources i should be keeping an eye on, to spot future trends such as shib and cardano?

As im pretty novice, and not up to date on things,   i only learn about certain coins when they start hitting exchanges and mainstream news etc,
by which time it is usually already 'too late'.

So what 3 sources should i keep in a pinned tab, and keep my eyes on daily, to catch early coins ?

You can monitor it on Coinmarketcap. The list of coins is clearly visible with complete data. However, for the next stage, it is about changing the coin so that it becomes mass adoption so that it brings the coin to a better direction at a high price. As Cardano is currently doing with the development of smart contracts, previously Cardano did not have a smart contract. You can see full information on the official website, this forum is just a brief notice. Maybe you can read up on ANN about certain projects. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=84.0
Regarding the Shiba token I can't provide any arguments. I think the success rate is lower compared to other coins. The digital number is 9, if the price of the Shiba token is below these 9 digits, the Shiba token will lose value. However, current conditions indicate a high level of liquidity in Shiba tokens. At least the price changes within this month have had a positive impact on the Shiba token. However, we need to be careful investing in tokens with high supply levels.

Bitcointalk also happens to be a place where a significant extension of the micro-features is received.  With that in mind, I find that the majority of powerful projects built passionately with bitcoin and expect to change the game are defi bitcoin.  The top technologies they can list like Sovryn, Mintlayer, Babelfish, etc. This is still a cradle of great projects to be found.  Of course, forgive me if I missed it
That means you will access the truth of truly transparent and leading projects.  Coming early in any good project is a great way

I don't really have an insider information on the alts that I choose and I only base my decisions on the roadmap that is available and on the community that was already built by the announcements. These are some of the indicators and initial things that I look for before I go on and decide that the coin is right for me. Also, if it appears on one of the groups that I am a part of, it's definitely worth considering since most of the coins discussed on the said group make it to the exchanges months after the initial announcement and release.

I use coinsniper some times but the thing is to watch the chart closely and pray for a correction and then enter the train  Grin, it's how I entered alutra and UFO gaming, the earlier the better for you and your portfolio, you will be able to sleep at night too
Is that the only way you do for the game Alutra and UFO? because I have never tried it at the moment and if indeed it can be very good for the future, I will try to do it at this time, because I still think not all Games can develop well in the future.
It is interesting to know that website as I see many new coins or tokens from different projects. But as usual, we need to research more to find which coins or tokens can increase in the future and not just buy instantly based on that list from the website. Maybe it is tempting to see many low priced coins that we can buy but if we do not research furthermore about the project, we may pick the wrong coins or tokens to buy.

I personally prefer to have more sources of information on potentially profitable cryptocurrencies and coins in the near future, and if all the sources I follow frequently discuss or talk about the same coin, I will do some research to make sure.
so I think it is better to look for more sources which you think are reliable and also accurate for your consideration whether the majority of all sources are talking about the same coin. and don't settle for that and you should also seek out as much information as possible, for perfect results.

Those are 3 sites that I think are good to use in terms of wanting to know the development of coins and crypto. These 3 sites have been the ones I used to find something new.
Of the three sites, only two sites are widely used by those in the crypto space, namely coinmarketcap.com and coiningecko.com, even though there are also several other sites with almost the same services as Bituniverse and Coinbase.

You can use Twitter to view trending coins, usually the admin on Twitter will be more updated and respond quickly to information. The second option you can also join the Telegram group, usually here you will get a lot of information about cryptocurrencies from many people and even foreigners. The third is google, try to enter the keywords you are looking for sometimes google can help too. But all that does not guarantee 100% that the project you choose is really good, so you need to be careful

Sometimes, we will not know which coins will be perfect to buy early and guarantee that they will be rising up like skyrocketing later. However, mostly, some new coins released on Pancakes swap will then also be listed in other exchanges like Bitmart and commonly they will have a very instant and significant rise pump. But this is very risky because we must buy and sell at the right time. Once we miss the time, we will lose. That is why trading like this will not be good enough especially for users who don't really know about the coins themselves.
And other sources are from telegram groups/channels or Instagram. I have followed some groups and also accounts on Instagram. Although they are not perfect enough, at least, most of their prediction is well enough.
But the best way is DYOR

If you want to be finding all these new coins early before they pump, then you will have to be looking through ICO websites. Most of them, before they pump to this extent, they first of all launched their ICO on these ICO’S platforms. But then you have to know that it is not every coins or projects that you’re going to find on theseplatforms that are going to be successful, it's a matter of luck and also how hard working the team behind the projects are.

So, I think when you check all these ICO platforms like ICOdrop, you will be able to find all these projects and you also have to look through them and check how hard working their team are, because that’s what’s going to tell you whether the project is going to be successful or not.

I can see full information on the official website (https://bitcoin.org/index.php?board.84.0), Bitcointalk forum, telegram channel, ... I need to pay more attention to the crypto space starting from twitter. I might start by following top projects, developers... I can join different communities related to altcoins and you will know which altcoins are trending. But it should be remembered that when investing in new altcoins, the risk is huge, if we invest in already big altcoins because the fundamentals will be strong and won't be destroyed overnight. Being a fairly newbie and not up to date on everything, I only learn about certain coins when they start hitting the exchanges and mainstream news etc.,

Would this be something acceptable/smart/ok to do ?

To put some minor money that you can easely spare, and wont miss, like $25, into one or 2 ido's / ico's each month, and to just hope you shot your shots good ?

What is better ,   alot of small ones ?    or to try and shoot the big one ?    What would you do, if you had to choose between $25 monthly and diversify, or $300 into one? (yes i know the answer depends on specifics, but on average, what do you think between the 2) ...

Becoming really an earlier investor in a successful project is not an easy thing. in fact a lot of that information after the coin has gone up to success. and people will hesitate to join when altcoins are successful. and i think bitcointalk and coinmarketcap are still the best places to get that information.

It takes risk and guts. Since there's no way to predict what will happen in the future, obviously, an investor should rely on different factors as much as they can if somehow they think it is worth risking their money on that project. Still not an assurance though that an investor's effort following that project for long will be paid good later on as even how serious the team behind the project, without the hype and spending decent money to continue the development of the project, chances of failure is always possible.

That's how risky putting money on new projects aside from dealing with crypto volatility.

Early investors felt they were scammed when the price of ADA took a nosedive back in 2019 as it dips to $0.02, it only means you don't have to be an early investor to have a lot of it. You just have to wait for the bear market to strike. But during that time also many investors focus more on other coins because ADA has not delivered anything yet. Shib I think it's cheaper but I'm not a fan of this token.

I always check in this forum as information is more reliable compared to what I can read on a certain website where the author could only be biased. Also, I watch youtube videos about people who are crypto enthusiasts and gives their opinion on a certain coin that has potential, and I do confirm it in the forum, it's actually my basis before I make a final decision as I can ask for an opinion which I believe members could give me an honest one.

I personally think these trends start rather randomly and getting in as an "early bird" is more about luck than knowledge or anything else. From my own experience, these trends usually start quite parabolically after some news probably not even the early birds would've expected to launch.

But strictly regarding the technology itself, I just read as much as I can and through critical thinking I can find out whether it's worth putting my money in it or not. The key here is finding good coins with new and innovative tech that have not become trendy yet. If you can do this, you can be thousands of steps ahead of the game.

My news is obtained from some media articles and forums, but I have suffered a lot of losses for many new coins, and the current profit is still Bitcoin.
Why do you like to choose a new coin in its current condition? Isn't every new coin or Altcoin always based on the Bitcoin market so they will always collapse if Bitcoin doesn't get a price fix in the near future? because it will be very risky to choose a new product that has not been tested in volume at all and is interested in the market

Spotting new and potential projects that require a team to specialize in finding information, communicating with each other, finding ways to invest in private sales rounds is how many groups are doing right now. Each person has a different job and there is an exchange of learning to improve their qualifications. I also know many people who have hundreds of coinlist accounts to buy ICOs. They generate different IP addresses for each account and use purpose-programmed tools. They got really rich that way.

So what 3 sources should i keep in a pinned tab, and keep my eyes on daily, to catch early coins ?

First I want to ask you, why are shiba and cardano your concern when making a purchase, even though there are still many other altcoins currently available, whether shiba and cardano are your favorite coveted coins or have you tried to analyze these two coins in the futures? Next, if you want 3 sources, then all you need to do is monitor the crypto market, coin trends and references about the coins you want to invest in, these 3 are important for you to pay attention to in investing.

I was just using those 2 coins as examples of coins that i only knew about, by the time they started hitting large exchanges, when really i wanted to have known earlier.

This means that you have not made a purchase for the two coins, yes, many altcoins on the market actually have better potential than the two, even for now many altcoins that appear are much more developed than the two coins you mentioned, I think this is a deep analysis convince people to make a purchase, but if you do intend to buy, I recommend looking at other coins that have greater potential in the coming year, rather than making a purchase on that coin, all decisions are yours after doing various in-depth studies.

I just buy whatever is listed on skyward finance, deposit it in ref finance, and farm it. So far I have been doubling my money each IDO I invest in. You could probably also make some money investing in new crypto games like Aloha surf invaders but it's hard to sort though all the noise and find good games. In fact, most of the games are just screenshots and these projects haven't delivered anything but promises for months.

There are countless websites that tracks the brand new coins, most of the time they are even late at that stage if you ask me but you could definitely get in very early on with your investment if you just checked which coins are at their very early on pre-sale levels. I feel like the most important thing at any level of a coin is the trust it builds between the community and the team, if there is a good amount of decentralization that means we are talking about something that is beneficial to all as well.

This is why it is hard to find good stuff on their very early days, because it takes time to let the team build it, and then get away, first they need to build it. Look at the top 10, it is filled with coins from 2017 ICO era for example, why? Because we had to give the teams time to build stuff, before they could let it be decentralized.

One of them is participating in IEO launchpads on major exchanges, be it Binance or others, with the basic assumption of finding out the fundamentals first. At that time the price was still cheap and affordable. Usually, every day when listing on a large exchange, for example on Binance, the price is certain to go up. To find out the potential increase, one way can be seen how much money people have committed to the IEO launchpad.

There are many beginners in cryptocurrency activity and of course it's a good step as long as you are willing to continue to explore knowledge and develop yourself seriously and you are not alone, I am also included in the list of beginners.
So far the most basic knowledge I have encountered is here or on this forum. In my opinion, this forum is complete regarding cryptocurrencies, starting from coin information and so on. Then sites like coinmarketcap and cryptorank.io can also be used as supporters.

I am part of a pre-sale group named DuckDao. If you have a certain amount of their token, then you can join one of their different tiers and once you are there you can join pre-sales of projects (the higher the tier the higher the allocation per sale and also some sales are exclusive for the higher tiers). This gives you the opportunity to invest very early into projects (seed-round or private-sale-round) that are usually only available for VC's. This also means you invest before the token is listed and that your investment also has a vesting schedule (for example 10% on the day of the TGE and then the other 90% over 1 year or something like that). This is also pretty risky though and of course it is also possible to pick bad projects.

You have to do your own research. Look for coins that are small, but has active development team. Use platforms such as cryptocoins, coingecko or coinmarketcap and select some coins that has small marketcap. Next see which coins might have good potential by learning about them. Then start using google. See what they are up to. Check if people are noticing them or not. Oh, and also learn to differentiate between coins that are being shilled and those that are not being shilled. Only shitcoins get shilled.

hmph..

forgive the stupid question ...      but what do you mean by "trapped in a token scam that compromises your address"  ??

Address (smart contract) I mean what harm or can compromise the wallet is that when you allow smart contracts to transact (swap), the smart contract can steal valuable assets that you own. Scammer choose tokens according to their wishes, both stable and non-stable. This case was very common a few months ago in the BSC network. Of course, the same thing can also happen in new projects on the ETH and Polygon networks.

I can't quite get what you mean. But I assume you want to learn the reasoning about how to differ at the cryptocurrencies project right?

Here's my advice, try to learn the fundamentals first. What I mean is start from the basics like what it is all about Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc. You should start from the top of the most reliable and usable project. Cryptocurrencies space is filled with shitcoins and copy-pasta coins that offer none of the usability. By getting a grasp of Bitcoin/ any solid project in general, you should be able to comprehend why that project comes out to the top.

When a coin is getting hyped then you can find them everywhere and also it has good chance to give returns to the early investors meanwhile not every project which is getting hyped is worth to invest in the long term so source is still your analysis than any external source and better stick with existing coins than new one if you are not willing to lose your capital.

1. Telegram channel
2. Twitter.
3. bitcointalk forums.
from these 3 sources alone you can get new altcoins every day, but it must be remembered that a big risk awaits you when investing in new altcoins, it is never too late actually if we invest in altcoins that are already big because the fundamentals will be strong and will not be destroyed in time overnight, in contrast to a new project which at any time could have no value.

Personally I get to know about new projects and coins from my friends and just from different crypto groups on Telegram. There are many chats where people who are full-time in crypto share with subscribers different new projects and share their opinion as well. Those projects are so new usually, that you can participate only in airdrop, but if you really like this project you can invest in it later.

All you need is coinmarketcap's ICO tracker: https://coinmarketcap.com/ico-calendar/

This will allow you to be in the action quite early on.

However, just be aware that alts suffer from extremely high survivorship bias in the sense that it is almost impossible to pick the winners from early on. Nobody has a crystal ball, so I suggest that instead of getting hyped over one project, you diversify quite a bit.

Bitcoin is GOD
Hi all,   i was wondering,   what are the top sources i should be keeping an eye on, to spot future trends such as shib and cardano?

As im pretty novice, and not up to date on things,   i only learn about certain coins when they start hitting exchanges and mainstream news etc,
by which time it is usually already 'too late'.

So what 3 sources should i keep in a pinned tab, and keep my eyes on daily, to catch early coins ?
On your own words you are confessing that you are pretty new to all of this, so I will say to you to stay away of those coins, you simply do not have what is necessary to tell apart a good project from a bad one.

This is probably not what you want to hear but you must concentrate on bitcoin only until you get some profits out of it, after all if you cannot make profits with the best coin in the market then what chances you actually have of choosing the right coin that is at its earliest stages? Almost none, which means that you will just waste your money.

Actually, it's not that you are "too late" but rather just hesitant to decide quickly. Either, a) it's a product of a hype b) anticipating price will decrease just later on c) don't have enough budget to make an entry.

That was tough. Sometimes those who are catching early coins are risk-takers. You can also try to check some recent projects who are currently doing some ICOs, IPOs, IDOs, or any kinds of startups on those ICO checker websites then from there, follow them patiently.

ive been looking around on the 2 sites suggested, i see that they basically just list projects, and the funding of the projects themselves, happen on several different platforms, and those platforms all seem pretty complicated and confusing to me for now ..  you need some other token first,   and then stake it, and then only the x largest stakers get an actual something , etc idk ....   im still very confused...    so im going to do some more investigating, and then i'll surely be back here with some questions regarding specifics etc, regarding IDO/ICO stuff.

That's a good start. Familiarizing things and how's the stuff there.

With continuous activity and building experience, you will learn automatically how to hunt coins. It's not something that you need a source or reference before you can decide on what coins you will risk your precious money.

Correct, come back regarding questions about ICO stuff so that somehow you can see the pulse of the community.

May I entice you to check on Stakenet's multiple staking solutions that provide an option for everyone, no matter how much XSN (the native coin of Stakenet) they own or their technical expertise. There is no limit to how much XSN you need to begin staking so you could start with just 1 XSN if you wish.
These are the Staking options that Stakenet provide:
- XSN Cloud Pooled Staking
- Normal Wallet Staking
- Cold Staking (TPoS)
For more information, check out their official site: stakenet.io

I dont usually check out aside from those IEO,ICO announcements that i do see and whenever it do caught caught my attention then i do tend to check it out if its really worth for me to invest on or not.

Dont easily get fooled whenever there's some hype.Always check out on what are the things should be checked on and this is something would be hard and cant really be known easily.

Some sites being mentioned by other members here are relevant and could be considered though.

Use those blog websites of different exchanges, they're announcing there first what will be the next altcoin that will be listed to them. You have to visit them most of the time so that you're going to see what will be the latest addition to their exchange.

Having that idea then you'll get to be updated on what will be the newest altcoins that are likely to pump on their exchange upon listing. Join also different groups on social media platforms. I've known shib when it was said by someone voluntarily in a certain crypto group (not a pump and dump group).

@OP

You should start learning from the basics, not jumping into IDO/ICO. You need to figure out how the cryptocurrencies spaces look like, if you still lacking of basic knowledge and are tempted to find the hidden game in the hope to become an early investor, then I doubt your possibility to find any solid project is low. Even I'm sure if you haven't figured out the fundamental of cryptocurrency and what it is all about, the chance you are getting scammed or lured by shitcoins is significant. Try to play it safe with a solid project like Bitcoin rather than jumping out to find a quick cash opportunity.

I suggest you look at @Ratimov post:

There are too many sources that I joined and I am gathering information and conclude as one, joining a telegram group that talks about trading and joining the discord group of trading. And most of all a community like this that talk about crypto development projects, you can go to the altcoin announcement section, if those who are actively keeping update are most likely they have potential when it comes investment. Join different communities regarding altcoins and you will have info about those trending altcoins that are good to invest an early stage but be careful with the hype.

If you talk about trends, then you need to pay more attention to the crypto space starting with twitter, you can start by following top projects, developers and even Influencers but be careful with especially Influencers. Trends in crypto is best utilized when one joins early, and just like NFT that is currently trending now, those who were fast enough to get involved at the early stage benefited a lot.
Now, from current trends you will be able to get into early coins, this is because many blockchain networks will bank on that current trend and developers will look out for ideas to build on, taking the NFT as an example too, I think ADA ecosystem started it first and gradually Solana picked up the pace and today a lot of these projects are growing on Solana blockchain, and where some are new tokens others happened to be old tokens which looked for ways to tap into what NFT offers.
So in other words, try as much as you can to get hold of any crypto trend, join on time and grow with it, the more it goes on the more you grow in more knowledge of it, thus making the most out of it while benefiting hugely.

There is no source that can give you a profit when you invest, but some information about new altcoins undergoing IEO can be seen on top exchanges like Binance, some other sources of information such as IDO can be seen from other exchange partners like Solanium who are currently running IDO on the network. SOL, but it's all your decision, no new altcoins or projects give you financial advice when they do IDO or IEO, because all is the decision of potential investors.

ofcourse ofcourse,   i didnt mean sources for advise,   i just meant,   sources, knowledge wise ...    as it all start with beeing informed, which im currently not

thx for the info so far tho,   as it is definitely a first step in the right direction

Mostly my info was coming from or source in this forum. about new projects that might perform better in the future, I believe most of the successful crypto players today are using the BitcoinTalk forum to publish their funding requirements through ICO, IEO, and many more. I don't think any crypto-related forums can surpass BitcoinTalk as a top source of crypto-related information, especially for brand new projects.

hmph..
In my experience, I use Twitter with multiple keywords based on hashtags. Another way, I joined Telegram group, but this was not just joining the telegram group from stranger, but a group where one of my friends knew the members and quality of the group. However, this way does not guarantee a 100% legit project. so you have to be careful if you follow the channel/group/socmed account early tokens/project. The worst thing is that you are trapped in a token scam that compromises your address.

Hi all,   i was wondering,   what are the top sources i should be keeping an eye on, to spot future trends such as shib and cardano?
here you go

icodrop, cryptorank

That's not a problem. There were so many newbies like you and what you need to do to learn more about that. So many legit projects were starting from the ICO. You must be an early investor of it to get the hype when the project will be pumped so high. what you can do to join when it was doing early stage sale.

So what 3 sources should i keep in a pinned tab, and keep my eyes on daily, to catch early coins ?
Just keep your eyes on the ico list site that I have mentioned above especially icodrop.
So many big platforms ADA, Solana, Polygon were getting listed there when those projects launched their ICO sale.
