when i was a campaingn manager i do check every participants posts manually . i chevk everyones signature code too 3 times a day because i dont know programming at that time. any way peoples should post where needed not when needed this forum is made to help everyone so as long as your posts help anyone till then your posts have values dont lie or say any junk in your posts it will only lower your post quality and cover your main answer. if you want to earn good money with signature campaingns then dont work on a single post try searching and visiting more topics sure you will find someone here who will need your review

You were a campaign manager?  Shocked
I am surprised because you are on the list of my low quality posters.

Counting posts may be done by a bot, but a manager has to ensure that the people participating in the signature campaign are not spamming. Otherwise it reflects badly on the advertiser.

I've always wondered about this, didn't know bots were available. I guess it depends on each campaign's size and users. In my previous one, the campaign manager didn't care much because many of my posts were off-topic or in sections that were supposed not counted and he paid for them anyway. The most important thing should be to check for quality posts and cut down the spammers.

I don't agree with other restrictions though, if you want to incentive people to create quality posts in a certain section like Gambling, that's ok. But why Meta, Politics & Society, Off-Topic and others are not counted in many campaigns is beyond me. Off-Topic is full of spam posts I'll give you that, but many others I just don't understand.

A popular Signature Campaign (I assume for this comment that it is a POPULAR one) would perhaps best be done with both a bot and a Campaign Manager.

The bot to make sure that the posts have the signature and have the right character length (75 or more), and are in the threads that the payer wants.

The Manager could do spot-checks, I doubt that any Manager would have to check ALL posts.

I have no idea how many Sig. C. active positions are up and running for bitmixer.io, for example.  LOTS I'm sure.  bitmixer pays for up to 50 posts per week.  If their average is (just sayin') 20 or more, that would be a lot of posts to check, even for someone getting paid to do it.

"Three gets you five" a Campaign Manager could likely spot-check, say 30% of posts and find spammers/abusers relatively easily.

Just my opinion, FWIW.

EDIT:

lahm-44 raises a good point just above.  A Manager would have to check for spammy posts put up by other bots.  I remember seeing those weird little robot posts a couple of weeks or so ago in "Bitcoin Discussion" with the weird words in the subject line.  The mods were pretty efficient at killing them off.

So, maybe a Manager might have to check, say, 60%, who knows.  But 100%, that would probably not be necessary.

Disclosure: I have never been a Campaign Manager nor even know one.

do you think this is done by a bot too?  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--1312050

^ not bad. May be worth the work. Anyone want to hire me to help? Smiley

Can you share which bot are to be use for the posts count here in bitcointalk?

Here is some simple free bots released by a user, but it is just to check wether participants still wear the signature or not

Here is bit-x bots and you can rent this one from marco

Here is a bot that is used by bitmixer and this is their private bot

https://bitmixer.io/signature.html

using bots has a lot of limitations like checking the quality of posts and whether it is on topics! The bots only can count the number of words and check users are wearing signature or not! Usually the managers have to check the posts manually! Besides that, sign campaigners are only assigning the jobs to reputable high level forum members.

There are alot of limitations yes but it will help the job to be done faster. If the campaign consist of hundreds of participants then it will take alot of time to check the post of each user so using bot helps alot if speed is important, unless someone wants to spend hours to check

It helps of course. But like he said the bot can't see if posts are on topic. Or if the thread was answered many times before and so the answer is spam. Etc. That has to be the manager. The op says he can do it. But reading through whole threads where all members of a campaign posted is very hard. And knowing enough of what the thread is about to check quality worse. Maybe impossible for large campaigns. For one person at least. And especially in campaigns with high post limits. Maybe there is space for campaigns to hire more managers to help. Or maybe hire a group of people with knowledge in specific boards to help with spam and quality. Don't know if most would care enough to do it though.

I cannot imagine trying to manage a campaign of any size without using a bot of some sort.  Keeping track of posts--how many, how many characters, etc. would be so tedious.  I think I'd last maybe a week if I didn't have help from a bot.

Speaking of campaign managers, and I'm not trying to hijack the thread in any way, but how much does it pay to be one?  I am just curious.  Good luck OP if that's the route you go.

I'm also not aware of the rates but it must be worth. i'd be satisfied with just $35 btc/week but could get less if I'd be assigned to a number of campaigns. 2,3 or more it should be decent enough for an Asian like me.
Actually I think that's right on the money. I saw in another thread today that Yahoo622 was making 0.075 Bitcoin per week and that works out to be about what you said. That's not too bad..

I never become campaign yet. But i know how its work..
Become manager you should strict with campaign rules.
Have time to spend.. seriously need to observe every post that has been made by participants.
Moreover need to choose wisely with member who apply/join campaign.

Most campaigns have their own though I believe marcotheminer rents his out. You could also have someone design one for you.

I can do it manually too. Checking each posts and threads if they ever respond without straying to the topics. And I can do it all day so long as I'm not required to have number of postcount for each campaign. My offer would be different from the rest as I myself have reputable accounts on some internet forums to which bitcoins are also discussed such as webmaster, forex and business forums and so I can set up my signatures there as well as part of the services I offer.

Some do it manually and some use bots and some do both. Ideally you would want a bot to count the posts but as a manager you should be keeping a close eye on participants and the quality of your posts. It can be hard work and is very time consuming and you also have to deal with spammers whinging and complaining when you kick them off so take that into consideration before you offer your services.

I might apply as Campaign Manager but was thinking whether they manually check the posts which seem to be tiring or simply use some software to do it,
any experienced campaign manager can explain this?
